Alpha settled into his bed, falling asleep almost immediately. Even on a rocking ship, it seemed the Sheikah was in complete control of himself. All the same, though . . . he wasn't looking forward to tomorrow.

'I always have trouble getting my land legs back . . .'

* * *

Yukie nodded slowly, checkin' 'n double-checking the direction in which they were currantly headin'. "Yeah, purty sure that if'n we keep that there wheel from movin', we'll keep goin' the way Cap'n wants us goin'." He shrugged all the same, though; he'd been out on the sea plenty o' times in his hundred plus years, but ne'er had he gotten the chance ta learn 'bout sailin'. Always bein' a passenger made them there trips relaxin', not informative. 'Ah well, wasted oppatunities.' He jist hafta make up for 'em here 'n now.

"Got quite an interest in them tomatoes ya hauled on board, dontcha?" he muttered, recallin' how insistant the man'd been with Cap'n before Taint'd disappeared below deck. It was purty much all he had to start a conversation with, and Saber'd said he wanted some talkin', so . . . yeah . . .

He found a seat and settled back inta it, waiting fer the island o' Everbreeze to find its way inta their view. And hopin' that reinforcin' Saber's beliefs 'bout steering the ship weren't wrong . . .

Orpheous listened to Dogura's words carefully. And true, there were more than two Sheikahs on the ship, but Orpheous would've still sworn that Alpha and Dogura were the brains behind this operation. Not that Orpheous didn't trust them, or he doubted Taint's abilities, especially after Dogura's words. Dogura and Alpha both were highly intelligent, strong minded people, and both were lethally cunning. Orpheous might have been willing to believe that Gossip Isle wasn't proposed by either of them, but he saw a deeper purpose in their presence than merely transient guests. On a cheerier note, Orpheous couldn't agree more with Dogura's statement about how Taint seemed to find his way into these situations. There definitely was some third party force at work, and it made Orpheous wonder.

He shrugged and shirked off below deck, to the cabin holds for the passengers. Finding an unoccupied room and bed, he drifted to sleep some time roughly before the sun's rise. Yet, his high metabolism proved he needed little sleep, and he usually slept quite lightly, not that the uneasy water might stir him.

Meanwhile, another, the one in the mask- Thealter, he had heard the words of Arrika, but chose to push them aside for now. No need to great her, but it was nice to know she knew he was there. Clearly, she needed her rest, and he didn't go to bother her should she get going on her way to her cabin. Instead, he stayed up, looking over the side of the ship, thinking about his purpose, and why he was here. His intentions were to stay as such unto Everbreeze, and so far, nobody had bothered him. Perfect bliss.

OOC: So there you have it. Orpheous needed shuteye, and so he took it, whilst Thealter proposed to stay up. Also, if we're going to be at Everbreeze for a few rounds, I think certain death-reaper would like to see this Morgoth. I would have no intention of keeping the third character around, or allow him to influence the plot. But if for whatever reason, ZV wants a means to frighten Morgoth with, not that he couldn't think of one himself, I have just the figure. But, like I said, it's all up to ZV.

OoC: I don't think I lost any HP... but I'll sleep anyway I suppose :P

IC:

The thief sighed and headed back for her room; there would be plenty of time for reunions later, and right now, she wasn't particularly in the mood. She lay on the narrow bed and stared at the walls, willing sleep to come, but having that necromancer on board kept her on edge. Taint was a fool for being so forgiving... But maybe she was an even bigger fool for not saying something.

I used magic... I used magic...? The thought became a mantra, one that, along with the gentle rocking of the ship, finally succeeded in lulling her to sleep.

"Got quite an interest in them tomatoes ya hauled on board, dontcha?"
"They're worth more than my life. I mean literally, Reno explicitly stated that he would sell me at a good three rupees less than every one of those tomatoes."

It felt so stupid to just be standing there, holding a wheel. He began to play with it a bit, tilting his body back and forth to try and make it feel like he was doing something. All he really accomplished was pulling something in his back and having to lean against the wheel to avoid crying out.

"So...what's new with you?"

Gazing over his shoulder, he was lost for subjects. He hardly knew the guy. Shrub. Did it have a gender? Probably not the best query to voice.

[Music= A Hopeless Endeavor]

Taint sat on a lonely canoe as he rowed further and further into the mists. The ocean was vast, and he'd been sailing for who knows how long. The wind gently pushed in the opposite direction, but the Zora rowed forward anyways. His determination to sail in the direction of his best intuition was wearing him out. It was cold, he was hungry, and it would be a lot easier to give in, and let the wind take him in the other direction. But he was sure that this was the right way, and so forward he continued to row...

"Ye've grown, Crowjack..."

Taint looked up to see his hero standing at the tip of the canoe. The Zora was completely awed.

"Cap'n!" He tried to yell, but it came out as a hoarse cough. The man stood there gallantly, silent, and still. He was dressed like a classic pirate from children's tales, complete with the giant captain's hat. He donned an eye-patch and his black hair flowed out of his hat into a ponytail that flowed down his back. His remaining eye was a piercing gold, just like Taint remembered.

"Ye row against the fate decided fer ye... Even though the Goddesses have chosen another direction for ye, ye continue to stay the course ye've chosen for yerself..."

The Zora stopped rowing for a moment to stare at the captain. He couldn't tell was the man was thinking.

"I don't want to be a loser all my life... I don't want to be a nobody... I don't want to be poor..."

The captain smiled at him.

"Defying the Goddesses' will... Yer dead determined on gettin' yerself' killed are ye?"
Taint shook his head.
"I won't die. I've got something good in my future. As long as I work hard, I can do whatever I want, whether or not the Goddesses approve."

"Ye've grown indeed, Crowjack."

"Don't call me that anymore, please. I'm trying to get away from that name."

"Keep doing what ye think is best. I believe in ye, kiddo."

"You're leaving? Why!? We have to catch up! CAP'N!"

The man turned and jumped into the mist. Taint, empty again, continued rowing in his direction. His determination wouldn't be broken, not by the elements. He jumped out of the boat, and started swimming madly. As fast as he could, he swam and swam, nothing in sight. After about 20 minutes, he stopped, and began treading water. Suddenly, the earth began to rumble, and waves began getting larger. A creature rose up out of the ocean, a hydra by the looks of it. It stared down at the terrified Zora, and reared back for a mighty roar. Taint winced as it shot forward and stopped directly in front of his face- "...Meow."

* * *

Taint opened his eyes to see Scurvy standing on his chest looking directly into his eyes. "Rooooowwrr..."

The Zora sat up, and rubbed his eyes as Scurvy bounded off of the bed, and out the door. How long have I been out? He thought as he swung his feet over the side of the bed, and left the room. Up on deck, Saber and Yukie were still chatting, but it was what was just off the starboard bow that caught his eye. Taint grinned widely, throwing a thumbs up to Saber. Everbreeze Isle was only about five minutes away. The lighthouse stabbed the sky, and the windmills surrounding it marked that this was in fact Everbreeze. Taint jogged over to Saber and waved him on. "I'll park the boat! You and Yukie go wake the crew! I'll steer the boat into port!" Taint took the wheel, and spun it towards the port.

Dogura appeared on deck with Morgoth to his side. "Ah, there you are!" Dogura called out to the Zora as he walked over to him. "I went to wake you, but it looks like you're already on the ball!" Taint nodded. "I can't wait! Today's the day of Everbreeze's annual festival! There's gonna be so much to do! It'll be good to rest up, get a hot meal, and a couple'a beds for the night! During the festival, beds are real cheap! Course, I'll be cover all of you, but still!" Taint whistled a tune as he danced around and steered into port. Dogura couldn't help but feel happy for the boy. He seemed to be at peace when he was out at sea, good time or not.

"Captain..." Morgoth piped up, both of them astonished to hear him address Taint as captain. "... Would you mind if I joined you all at the festival? It does sound like fun..." The Zora was bit taken aback by this request. The necromancer didn't seem like the type for fun. Sort of the way Alpha didn't seem like the type for fun. Taint nodded at the man. "Sure, but only if Dogura agrees to keep an eye on you." The samurai shook his head. "As the ship guard, I'm bound to the ship at all times. It's up to either Alpha or Orpheous. I trust the both of them." Taint looked at Dogura like he was insane. "You thought we were all gonna stretch our legs and have fun without you? That's, like, just... not right!" Dogura shook his head defiantly. "It's my duty to-"

"To hell with your duty!" Taint cut him off. "You're enjoying a mini-vacation with us, and that's an oder, got it?" Dogura couldn't help but laugh a little at the Zora. "Alright, alright. If you insist, then yes, I'll accompany you. I don't mind keeping an eye on Morgoth either." The necromancer smiled and nodded his head. "Thank you captain! And thank you, samurai!" The boat came to a halt at the port, and Taint hurried over to drop the anchor. The island looked very festive, and festival music could already be heard. Children ran around the island, and there were plenty of attractions around.

[Music= Festival Music]

Dogura and Morgoth set down the walkway onto the docks, and awaited everyone to get off before they followed. After Taint finished dropping the anchor, he ran to the side of the boat and looked at the some of the attractions set up. There was a strong man contest, with a large pole with a bell at the the top. It looked like all you had to do was slam the hammer into the target on the ground as hard as you could. There was a rather burly looking man standing next to it. That really wasn't Taint's sort of thing. There was a gambling game where you had to guess which cup the rupee was under... That was all Taint could see from where he stood. He was growing increasingly impatient. Finally, he told Dogura that they could all catch up whenever, but he was going. He took off into the festival. There was an attraction for who was most accurate shot with an arrow, a booth was set up for getting your future read, a tent stood tall in the distance, but Taint didn't bother with it yet. There was a smaller tent nearby that read "Spellcasting", but that also didn't appeal to him.

Finally, he spotted a tank full of water that read "Breath Holding Contest". Taint jogged over to it, and dug around for some rupees in his pocket, that is until he was close enough to read the find print. "No Zora Allowed".

"AW C'MON!!"

OOC: Feel free to explore :)
Talk to people, gamble, check out the attractions, awareness checks, etc.

Yukie eyed Saber with a strange glance at his reply, a bit weirded out at that there statement. 'Oh . . . kay . . .' Was the kid jokin, or'd he jist gotten himself mixed up with someun he shouldn't of?

. . . Prob'ly the former. Yeah. What kind o' Adventurer needed ta work fer someun like that? Haha, that Saber, what a kidder.

"So...what's new with you?"

"Not much, I s'pose . . ." Honestly, things had been pretty slow as of late. No Hakiems comin' round tryin' to kill 'im, no sightin's of Ganon's forces, 'n he'd never gotten 'imself involved in them matters down south, so he couldn't well be worried 'bout all that. "Jist a bit o' wanderin' round North Castle 'n Hyrule Field, really . . ."

* * *

Jist as Cap'n'd predicted, the island appeared before 'em several hours later. Yukie talked with Saber about a couple o' matters durin' that time, but they weren't in da midst of any such speakin' when land was spotted. The Deku leapt up to his feet and hopped over ta the railin', laughin' all da while. "Guess ya did a purty good job with that steerin' o' yers, Saber!" he lauded.

Cap'n appeared purty soon afta that, noticin' the land before Yukie could direct 'im towards it 'imself. "I'll park the boat! You and Yukie go wake the crew! I'll steer the boat into port!" Taint cried in excitement; Yukie quickly hopped down 'n ran ta the door, boundin' down the stairs and rappin' on ev'ry doorway (he didn't know which ones were taken, so he jist knocked on 'em all!). With each knock he called out to the occupants: "We've arrived ev'rybody! Welcome ta Evabreeze!"

The only odd thing he noticed was that when he reached the end o' the hallway, Alpha hadn't already amerged from 'is chosen room . . . And he still didn't when the Deku called out ta 'im. 'Oh, wait. O' course.' He turned the handle and opened the door . . . yup.

Whereva Alpha was, it weren't in bed.

* * *

"Alright, alright. If you insist, then yes, I'll accompany you. I don't mind keeping an eye on Morgoth either."

"Good, because there was no way in the Dark World I was going to waste all day looking after him." Emerging from the shadows behind the helm, Alpha walked forward to where the others could see him, cocking an eyebrow at the necromancer before turning it to Dogura. Why Morgoth was so interested in attending this festival bewildered him almost as much as Dogura's swift agreement to babysit him for the day.

Yukie reappeared moments after Dogura and Morgoth had lowered the ramp, not even surprised to see the Sheikah already on deck. The two of them quickly descended onto the docks, and the Deku ran off after Captain Taint. Alpha stood looking around for a few moments more before shrugging and walking off into the crowd. He had no idea what all he would do in a festival . . . but he had already explored most of the ship and was willing to give Everbreeze a chance.

So he walked around for a few minutes, casually looking at each attraction, stopping by a few -- there was one game, a gambling one, where you guessed which cup the Rupee was under; he threw a Rupee of his own at the man's right hand, laughing as the sleight-of-hand maneuver was exposed -- a fortune telling booth that would prove to be pointless most likely, a tent simply labeled 'Spellcasting' that probably held nothing of the sort . . .

For now . . . he just kept walking.

The boat jolted as it came to a stop, waking the Sheikah immediately. She sat up in bed, already wide-awake, and stole up the stairs in a shadowy form.

The festival before Arrika's eyes was a great contrast to the battle with the undead that they'd just got through. She realized that they must have decided to go to Everbreeze after all...

She spotted Alpha walking through the crowds looking more than a little out of place. She slipped through the crowd with ease and materialized by his side.

"Hey. It's not safe for a girl like me to be wandering around here alone, eh? Want to be my bodyguard?" she winked, although truthfully, she felt unsettled by all the noise. Castle Town, although not very different, was just more familiar. Frankly, she could handle nearly anything on her own, but that damn necromancer, who by all rights should be dead, put her on edge. There was no way that someone who controlled the dead could be so nice, so repenting.

She scanned the crowds, the games, and the people (Awareness Check) for anything of interest.

------------------------------ALPHA------------------------------
As Alpha walked, he bypassed many games and attractions. "Hey mister!" A call came from his feet. A little girl stood staring up at him. "You're tall! I've never seen somebody so tall!" Another little girl appeared next to her. She had a lolli-pop in her mouth, and was accompanied by a boy about the same age. She took the candy out of her mouth and remarked, "You're scary." Before Alpha knew it, he was surrounded by children in awe of his height.
"Wow, you're tall!"
"Do you have a present for me?"
"I've never seen you around here before"
"How'd you get up there, mister?"
"Mommy says not to talk to people like you."
"Do you have wings?"
"Wanna play choo choo?"

------------------------------ARRIKA------------------------------
Luckily, none of the kids were paying a whole lot of attention to her. This would allow her to slip away from the growing mob of inquisitive youngsters. Her awareness check succeeds, and she spots Taint arguing with a man about the rules of a contest. Her eyes go further to spot man shouting not to far from the Zora. "Step right up! Step right up and test your fancy footwork against the toughest obstacle course ever made here at the fare! You've gotta be quick! Winner takes home twenty rupees, and a brand new pair of boots! Step right up, anybody!" Arrika, being a nimble thief, fit the description quite well. With a unique pair of boots on display, and a red rupee on the line, why not?

------------------------------TAINT------------------------------
The poor captain gave up his argument with the man, and walked off with his hands in his pockets. Surely there were other things to do.
(Awareness Check + Nomadic Awareness)
His awareness passed, and he caught a whiff of something tasty in the air. Whatever it was, it smelled of cinnamon, sugar, and deliciousness. He followed the scent to a stand with a small line in front of it. Cinnamon buns were being dispensed for only a single rupee!
Cinnamon Bun- A sweet smelling pastry that grants the consumer a +3 chance to land his or her first attack during the next battle.
Costs: 1 Rupee
Left: 3 Cinnamon buns
When he got to the front, he handed over the payment and received a delicious pastry, which he quickly scarfed down. He melted in the grass he was standing on, and had to resist the urge to buy another. Simply exquisite! He wandered off in search of more to do.
(Taint begins the next fight with a +3 chance to hit his first target)

OOC: Whenever an attraction is discovered by anyone, it is automatically opened to anyone who'd like to interact with the attraction in question. If you win rupees in one of the games, you'll actually receive the rupees to your account via donation. Oh, and Alpha, try to play nice with the kiddies.

edit: OH! And you can only interact with one attraction per post.

Arrika glanced down at the over-excited children with distaste and headed towards the obstacle-course man she spotted, with only a slight hesitation. "Ooh, here's your first challenge, bodyguard. Try not to get eaten alive," she called playfully over her shoulder, zipping through the crowd agan to get to the man.

"I'll give it a shot," she said.

Now two others stepped from the boat, one getting off first, the other sulking behind a few moments later. The scribe and that other man. Thealter. Orpheous merely sighed, so many places to go, so little to actually do. Everything, as Alpha had noticed, appeared to be one giant scam for tourists. He noticed a tree for shade, and sat under it, and began to look for something that was actually a decent deal. Unfortunately, the buns or obstacle course hadn't caught his eyes yet, though truth be told, he'd probably be interested in neither. He almost wished they had just preceded to Gossip Isle, but the other passangers needed a break, and perhaps he could learn something about Everbreeze culture while he was here [Awareness check for something of note].

Thealter was concerned about something else. He made it off the ship in time to notice Arrika attempts to shadow the Shadow himself, Alpha. He merely frowned, making sure he couldn't be noticed of course, lest he receive her scorn. I guess there's always a bigger fish. Meanwhile, he began to study the crowd. Surely with this many attractions, at least a third of these people were being clumsy, dropping rupees and either not noticing or not caring enough to pick them up. He saw this business opportunity, and sought to take advantage of it [Awareness check for discarded rupees].

OOC: Orpheous' base intelligence is 5, while Thealter's should be 6. Feel free to check my profile to double check, I'll probably add his stats to my dossier or post them in this topic soon, for ease of access for you.

OOC: ZV, Alpha wanted me to tell you something: the next time any of your characters are in danger of dying, don't expect him to come to your aid with his Life spell.

Just delivering the message.

IC:
Alpha stood in the midst of a group of little children who had appeared from nowhere.

He wasn't exactly a fan of this situation.

"Ooh, here's your first challenge, bodyguard. Try not to get eaten alive," Arrika called back as she strolled away. He shot a grimace at her fleeing back. 'Arrika . . . Next time you're in danger of dying, don't expect me to come to your aid with my Life spell.' The threat was real in his head . . . though for some reason it felt strangely repetitive to him. Odd; he didn't normally use that method of vengeance . . .

Well, best find a way out of this. Turning back to the kids, he simply answered them as best he could: "You've obviously never met a Goron. Yes I am. Yes I am. No I don't. No you haven't. I ate my vegetables. Your mommy is smart. No I don't. And no, I don't." He paused; that hadn't helped him 'find a way out of this' at all. Already tiring of this, Alpha suddenly leapt up into the air, somersaulting over the kids and landing on the other side of them. He walked away, completely ignoring them as he made his way to the attraction Arrika had found. An obstacle course . . . that sounded right up his alley.

Strolling up to his fellow Sheikah, he gave her a sideways grimace. "You'll have to do more than rely on some kids to get away from me," he muttered. He turned back to the stall and put a smirk onto his face. "I'm up after her."

* * *

Yukie caught up to Cap'n jist'n time ta catch the end of Taint's argument with the stallmaster. 'No Zora allowed?' he read, narrowin' in on the fine print first for some inexplicable reason. 'What kinda racist thingy is thi--oh.' Now he actually bothered to see what the attraction was. 'Oh, uh . . . that actu'ly makes a good lick o' sense . . .' Thank the goddesses he hadn't actually spoken out loud . . .

Of course, in the time it had taken 'im to read the sign Taint had taken off once more, so the Deku rushed off again to find him. Not like he coulda lasted long in that breath-holdin' contest . . . Deku didn't 'zactly do all that well undawater . . .

He finally reached the Zora jist as he was finishin' purchasin' some sorta pastry -- one that smelled mighty fine indeed. "Shoot, I'll take one of them there buns m'self!" he chirped, handing over a Rupee of his own. "Good find there, Cap'n!"

OOC: ZVVVV That was hilarioussss omggg just made my day, seriously. Don’t worry if one of your character is in danger of dying… I got ya covered :D

IC: She had slept for exactly two dreamless hours, wondering when she would get used to the constant rocking and creaking of the ship. She had a slight paranoia that when she was sleeping, the ship would hit a rough wave and throw her against the wall. It wasn’t that big of a deal, but still – it was an uncomfortable thought.

When she heard the racket above decks, Sakiko slid out of bed uncertainly, wondering for a split, confused second if someone was attacking the ship once more.

No – it was worse.

Well, slightly. The sunlight almost blinding her eyes and scorching her skin, Sakiko was extremely glad to see land. She would’ve kissed it, had she seen the point of doing it. That was the only thing she was happy to see; a swarming crowd of loud, dirty, excited people were swarming about, and apparently there was a festival going on. She considered going down below again into the cabins, but…

The mage heaved a deep sigh and was about to step onto the docks when she saw a fleeting black blob in her peripheral vision. Arrika? Well, of course, the thief would be excited –

ALPHA?! She was definitely headed toward Alpha…

Sakiko followed the little rogue, her eyes narrowed into slits; whatever she was up to, it was probably up to no good...and of course, the Sheikah had disappeared from her sight. Why can’t she ever move normally? It’s so annoying… Disappointed, Sakiko found herself lost in the buzzing crowd, being pushed this way and that…

“…not safe for a girl like me to be wandering around here alone, eh? Want to be my bodyguard?"

The mage whipped around, seeing Arrika twirling her foxy tail like the experienced seducer that she was. A girl like you…?! You mean, a girl who carries millions of knives in her socks? She stepped forward to intervene in this massacre of a lamb, when a woman with a billion babies in her arms pushed Sakiko backward. When the pale girl had regained her balance, Arrika and Alpha had disappeared from her sight.

With a sigh, Sakiko decided that it was best to leave the two alone…for now. She stared at her surroundings glumly, pulling her hood down lower to cover her face. As she proceeded through her death march, she saw a booth that claimed to have her future read. With nothing better to do, Sakiko glared at the booth and anyone around it, making her way towards it. She knew it was all a scam, but it would be amusing.

“I’d like to have my future read.”

Ooc: You know I lurve you, Arrika. Furrrr surrrrrre. :D

"Guess ya did a purty good job with that steerin' o' yers, Saber!"
Nobody does nothing better than I do. Wry thoughts aside, Saber nodded to Taint and stepped down from the wheel. Yukie had taken off, doubtless the mercenary wasn't needed to wake everyone. It seemed there was nothing to do but wait.

Saber stepped cautiously onto solid ground, his legs feeling the slightest bit wobbly from the journey. At least they hadn't been on the boat TOO long. The rest of the party was spreading out all over the place; He couldn't follow all of them, and so decided to follow none. He didn't want to seem prejudiced. He could smell cinnamon in the air; while that sounded delicious, he could go for something a bit more fulfilling first. He began to sniff vigorously, trying to seperate the different smells in the air. [Find Sustenance]

------------------------------ARRIKA & ALPHA------------------------------
"I'll give it a shot."
The man smiled, and accepted the small entry fee from her. He waved her on, and pointed down the path. "There are three trials! Each will test your speed! The first, is the 'Rain of Blades', certain to test your timing!" There was a wooden walkway that lead down a path of swinging wooden axes and play swords. "The second trial is the 'Assailant'!" He pointed to a raised platform with ten holes in it. "A ninja will attack you from one of ten directions. You'll have to be aware of all of your surroundings to get through that challenge." He finally ushered their eyes to the final challenge. It was another wooden walkway, but this time with threats coming from the sides and bottom as well. Wooden axes, play swords, cardboard sharks, and rubber maces flying from all directions. "The final challenge is 'The Works', and it'll be sure to be your end, should you survive the other challenges. Give it your all!"

OOC: Here's how the game works. I roll a die for your character, and then add his or her AGI to the number. The first number you have to overcome is 8, the second number is 12, and the third is 15. Good luck! (omg, you rolled a natural 20 for your first roll :o)

Arrika stepped up to the mechanical obstacle course prepared for the challenge. She gracefully weaved in and out of the "Rain of Blades" with almost supernatural ease. It looked as if she wasn't even trying. The man running the attraction was visibly sweating after seeing her skill and grace. (ROLL:20 + AGI:6 = 26)VS( 8 ) PASS.

The second challenge, "The Assailant" now awaited her. There was a long pause as she waited for the cardboard attacker. Swiftly, the ninja appeared to her right, and she was able to react just in time. Delivering a swift kick to the dummy's face, it went back to its resting place. She'd passed the second challenge without much trouble. (ROLL:11 + AGI:6= 17)VS(12) PASS.

Now all that stood in her was was 'The Works'. Unlike the previous challenges, this one seemed quite formidable. She jumped into the works, dodging this was and that. It seemed that she had quite a grasp on the timing of the machine. She was home free, as she leaped out of the contraption. However, mid leap she was blind sided by a rubber mace that knocked her off of the platform. The man seemed quite relieved that she was unable to triumph over his final challenge after all of his bravado. (ROLL:4 + AGI:6= 10)VS(15) FAIL.

He rushed over to her to console her for her loss. "OHH, you were so close too! Bette luck next time young lady!"
"I'm up after her."
The man nodded, and waved him on. "I've explained the rules to you both! Hope you have better luck than your friend. OH, I forgot to mention something." The man said as he approached Alpha. "The boots there... Well, they're a tad small for you. They're actually a womens' size. But if you win, I'm sure your little lady friend would appreciate them! Sorry about that, we're just not used to seeing big fellas like you."

With that, Alpha began the test, passing the first round with just as much ease as Arrika. (ROLL:18+AGI:7= 25)VS( 8 )= PASS.

As he stepped out onto the platform, he awaited the assailant. There was a shorter pause than previously seen, probably to throw off the people who'd seen the other contestants take the test. The ninja popped up almost instantly, and Alpha was able to punch it right in the chest before it reached him. (ROLL:8+AGI:7=15)VS(12)= PASS.

Here came the final test, and the man began to sweat again. Did I make this too easy? No, I'm certain I... Who are these people? His mind raced for answers as Alpha raced for the end of the works. The Sheikah was able to dodge each and every weapon easily. In the end, the final leap revealed itself. However, remembering Arrika's mistake, he waited until the rubber mace passed by. He leaped down onto the grass, and out of the works. (ROLL:16+AGI:7=23)VS(15)= PASS!

The man put a hand over his face. Go figure. My sixth contestant, and my main prize has already been snatched up... He sucked up his defeat, and walked over the mage. "Congratulations!" He called out, trying to sound happy for the man. "You've accomplished the un-accomplished! Achieved the un-achievable! You've won 20 rupees, and a pair of unique boots!" He handed over the items to Alpha. "Those boots are one of a kind! They called The Boots of Sea-strider Hannah!'. They used to belong to a famous pirate, but someone had the guts to take them from her! I fell into possession of them, so here they are, yours to keep!"

Boots of Sea-Strider Hannah- Said to belong to a famous pirate, these boots grant the wearer +2 to AGI, and the ability to walk on liquids for a limited time. In addition, the wearer won't set off any floor based traps!

"Once again, congratulations!" The man heaved a heavy sigh and stared at his obstacle course in sheer defeat. "oooooohhh..."

------------------------------Yukie------------------------------
The cinnamon bun vendor reached into the over and pulled from it a fresh batch! They smelled even better than before, and were sure to be piping hot. The glaze ran down the sides, creating a picture perfect pastry. The vendor handed Yukie the cinnamon bun and smiled. "Enjoy! Next!"

(Yukie begins the next fight with a +3 chance to hit his first target)

------------------------------Orpheous & Thealter------------------------------
Orpheous' awareness check failed, and he noticed nothing of any real note. Just a bunch of attractions, a gang of children fainted on the ground, and Sakiko getting her future read. Just a normal festival!

Thealter's luck was different however, as his check passes with flying colors. He looks around for discarded rupees, but fails to find any. The children of the island might have had the same idea. Suddenly, something catches his eye. Something shiny in an ally between buildings. It shined a bright purple whenever the clouds moved away from the sun. What could it be?

------------------------------Sakiko------------------------------
The woman in the stand smiled at her, and asked her to "Hold out your hands, dearie..." She took the thief's hands into her own, and closed her eyes. She was quiet for a moment before opening her eyes. "Oh my! I see a battle in your near future! My, my, what misfortune. In any case, the first attack will come from your right side! If you jump backwards, you should be able to dodge the attack entirely!" She let go of Sakiko, and smiled. "Wasn't that lovely?"

(Sakiko will have a +5 chance to evade the next attack that targets her)

------------------------------Sabertache------------------------------
Saber was more hungry than the rest, and wasn't interested in waiting for the big feast- or hell, maybe he'd eat there anyways. The food was free, so why not? His search for food, regardless of whether or not he'll eat later, passes, and he finds a turkey leg on a plate that nobody was guarding. Nobody was around, so one could assume that it was forgotten. Saber is restored for 15HP.

------------------------------Taint------------------------------
With the cinnamon bun downed, Taint smiled at Yukie. "That is single handedly the best thing I've ever tasted." He mused, as he looked around for another attraction. There was still a very large tent on the back of the island that he'd earlier passed up. "Hey, Yukie! I'm gonna head over to that big ol' tent! Wanna come with?" He asked, as he started walking towards the tent. It got bigger and bigger the closer he got. Cheers could be heard from inside. There was a small line of men waiting at the front. It seemed they were being checked by a burly looking gent at the entrance. The Zora patiently waited in line until he got to the front. The man stared him up and down and laughed. "Do you know where you're headed son?" The Zora shook his head. "No, what's the attraction here?" The crowd inside suddenly erupted into loud cheers that made the man wince. "Ohhh, sounds like somebody just got hurt... This here is the Battle Tent! You've got no place here son. Scram." Taint normally would have just walked away, uninterested in a fight. But those were some pretty insulting words.

"Who the hell do you think you're talking to? I'm over 18, and I'm responsible for myself. So lemme in!" He attempted to walk past the man, but he shoved Taint away. "I told you once. I ain't fixin' to hafta tell you again, punk." Taint got face to face with the man, who was clearly taller than him. "If you wanna make something of this, I promise you'll regret it." They stood uncomfortably close for several seconds before the man cracked a grin. "You got a fire your belly don'tcha? I like guts kid, and you got em. Go ahead in. Just jump in one of the three arenas and you'll be challenged by a stranger. Keep winning for stronger opponents. Now get in there!" The Zora smiled widely. "YEAH!!" He screamed as he ran through the tent. Upon entering, he was shocked at how big the tent was from inside. There was smoke everywhere inside, and stunk pretty bad. He did as he was instructed, and climbed into one of the arenas. It was a simple elevated area with ropes around it. Another man climbed in on the other side, and sneered at the nomad. "You? Really? A FISH?? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!" The crowd around this particular arena laughed with him.

The man was taller than Taint, stocky, and donned a worn out tunic and an ax. His hair was long and blonde, and chest hair peeked over the top of his tunic. "You outsiders have no chance! Especially not a fish-stick to be." The Zora drew his rusty sword and pointed it at the man. He'd clearly had enough of the barbarian's racist remarks. "So come." The man leaned on his ax. "Nuh-uh. You don't know what you're getting into. Who the hell let you in here?" Taint gritted his teeth, tired of the creep's remarks. "If you're too scared to come to me..." He held his sword confidently, but his sword alone seemed to be the cause of the jokes in the crowd. "Then I'll come to you!" He took off towards his opponent, who blocked the first blow with his ax, and attempted to counter. "If I must..." He whined, as he took a swing at Taint. The Zora blocked with his sword, and kicked the man in the gut. The barbarian stumbled away holding his stomach. "Why you! Now you're gonna die!" He charged in stupidly, obviously not very skilled.

Taint easily bent over backwards, avoiding the blade entirely. The man took another swing, this one vertically. Taint stepped sideways, effectively dodging again. The crowd was silent as they watch the ax wielder struggle to hit the Zora. "You're not very smart are you?" Taint asked as he kicked the man in the face. He stumbled backwards again, holding his mouth. "You've obviously talked a bigger game than you can walk." He darted in, easily avoiding the man's next attack. He drove his sword through the man's lower torso. He hacked up blood on Taint's shoulder, and the crowd tent fell dead silent. It now appeared that people from the other side of the tent had tuned in to watch Taint's battle. "Don't call me a fish." He said as he drew his blade from the man's body. He fell down at the Zora's feet in a bloody slump, and laid still. The whole tent erupted in cheers as the medics hauled the ax wielder away on a stretcher. "I did my best to avoid his vital organs. Some good clerics should be able to patch him up without too much trouble." Taint had no idea if the medics heard him, as the crowd was being obnoxiously loud at this point.

"Well that was kinda fun!" Taint shouted as he cleaned the blood off of his sword. "Anyone else?"

OOC: Battle Tent is an RP only fight arena. Just for funzies. If any of you stage a fight here, you can do all the narrating yourself. 8)
You don't have to bother with the guy in the front, you can just come on in.
Also, I left off like this for a friend, you can leave when your fight is over.

IC:

------------------------------Dogura & Morgoth------------------------------
With everyone off the boat, they made their way into the crowds. "If you try to get away in the crowds, I will find you, and I will end your life." Dogura noted to the necromancer. "Sheesh, watch your mouth, there are little ones here!" The samurai was utterly confused at Morgoth's remark. He cared about little kids? Just what kind of necromancer was he? The two advanced further into the attractions, and a certain tent caught Dogura's attention. "Let's check this one out." He remarked to Morgoth. "Spell-casting... I could use some practice anyhow." Morgoth nodded. As a practitioner of magic himself, he was also interested.

They entered the tent to see a man in a robe sitting on the counter next to a bucket. "Hey there!" He called out. "Shoot the target, win a prize!" He pointed to the dummy in the far back of the tent. There were marks all around it where people had missed. "If you can deal 20 points of damage to the dummy through a magical attack, you'll win a fabulous prize! Give it a shot? Only one rupee per shot! That's a steal!" Dogura didn't like how happy the man running the tent was, but decided to play along anyways. He might as well, considering he was sure that he could deal the set amount of damage to the target. He stepped on the 'X', and felt the magic inside him swelling up. He wasn't sure what element the burst would take, but he was pretty confident it would hurt. With his eye on the target, he drew back, and tossed an elemental burst of light at the dummy's chest. It hit the dummy head on!(ROLL:11+SPI:3)VS(10)= HIT

The reader next to the dummy counted 23 points of damage! "Well done! Please accept your prize!" The man handed over a bottle full of a green liquid, and nodded. "That there is for use next time you're running a tad low on magic power! It'll restore 20 points of magic! Would your friend like to try?" Dogura turned to Morgoth and frowned. "Don't pretend you can't pay for yourself." Morgoth folded his arms. "I never said I wouldn't! I just don't want to." Dogura placed a hand over his face, and dropped a rupee in the bucket. "Take your damn shot." Morgoth nodded and smiled. "How generous, thank you!" With magic naturally in his hands, he tossed an elemental burst of nature at the dummy. It hit just like Dogura's, for 21 damage! (ROLL:15+SPI:6)VS(10)= HIT

He also received a jar full of green substance. "Is it so hard to be nice to me? I'm not that bad of a guy."
"Shut up." Dogura remarked, as they exited the tent.

OoC: DARN.

Saki- Knives in my socks? HAH. And Arrika can't be bitter to you yet, since you've been keeping all of these poisonous thoughts to yourself.

IC:

Arrika sighed, nursing the side of her face where the rubber mace her hit her.

Thank the Goddesses it's a fake one, she thought, picking the toy weapon up with distaste. That could have ended badly otherwise.

She crossed her arms and smirked at Alpha as he stepped up for the challenge. She was one of the most agile people she had ever met, trained for years by a master rogue, and- The smirk quickly turned into a scowl as he beat the challenge with ease.

"Maybe I should've let you go first, huh?" she said, still feeling slightly embarassed for losing.
