Dawn... The sun was setting on a beautiful day in Hyrule. Alex was getting worried. He was too far from Hyrule Castle Gates, and he knew the things that surfaced at night. He thought he could handle it out in the fields... He was beginning to think his sensei was right about how late he went out. He had completely defiled how far he was able to go. His shirt was soaked, and his weighted clothes (for training purposes) only seemed to get heavier and heavier. Then, a sound rang out over the horizon that made his stomach sink. The howl of the Wolfos. That signified that night had fallen over the great land, and it was bad news for rookies out late. "Oh man, oh man, oh man!" Alex broke into a full sprint for the gates. He was still far from home, but at least he would be able to spend the night somewhere safe, until morning when his sensei would come looking.

Suddenly... A shift in the soil... Alex tripped, and fell flat on his face. He landed with a thud, and turned over on his back, only to see the monsters of the night pulling themselves up out of the ground. Alex stared in horror, and got to his feet, only to realize that he was nearly surrounded. He had his back to the water, and considered his options. My weighted clothes! They're far too expensive to leave here... and I'll sink like a rock if I try to swim... Alex looked back to the Stalchildren. Sure, they're not as big of a threat as Stalfos, but there are still too many! Alex drew his wooden sword. It was sharp, but not like a real sword. "Damnit Dogura-Sensei! Why couldn't you just trust me with a real steel sword?" The first Stalchild that was out of the ground inched toward him. "Alright! I'm ready for you!" Alex watched it's movements carefully, and dodged the first attack, countering with a blow to the skull! The monster's head flew into the water, but its body remained active! It wandered right into a tree, and collapsed. Alex turned to see the other little demons pulling themselves out of the soil. I won't be able to fend them all off on my own... I can only pray for a miracle...

I wonder where Alex was... I was told he was here somewhere....wait, I know that rotten odor. Is that him in the distance with the Stalchildren? Crap, I'm only a rookie, I can't do much myself
Hold on Alex! I'm coming! Its a miracle I found you.
I quickly ran over to the nearest stalchild and incapacitated it in five blows.
Are you hurt?!
I shouted, ready to take on another stalchild.
OOC: I won't be on for a while. I have swim team at 7 p.m. Sorry

OOC: This is mainly practice for you to see what works for you. Now most people type in Third person. It seems odd reading it in first person! If its your style, then stick with it, and perfect it. Also, you don't have to assume that you know him. For instance, you could have just been wondering about. Alex actually wasn't supposed to be here, because if his sensei caught him, he would ring his neck. Also, try using quotation marks. Press SHIFT and the key just to the left of the ENTER key(In the terrible case that you didn't know). One more thing. I don't know much about your character, making it difficult to write about him. Whats his class, how old is he, etc.

Moving on.

IC: Alex prepared for the next Stalchild to attack, when suddenly, a stranger defeated it in a flurry of blows just before his eyes! Alex stared in wonder, when the boy called out his name. "How do you know my name? How did you know I would be here??" Alex asked bewildered. He had only entered the world of Hyrule recently, and word was already spreading about him? Alex prepared for the next Stalfos who was comming his way. It attempted to throw a bone at him, but he dodged, and parried the monster, sending into the tree to his right. "Whats your name? How did you find me?" Alex asked.

OOC: It did cross my mind that I didn't know Alex, but I didn't type it. My character is 17 a grunt, Hylian, and Order.

IC: "Sorry. My name is Aureliano. I was leaving the gate when a guard warned me about the creatures of the night, then another guard mentioned a guy who left by himself named Alex. They said they see him with his sensei and he is still a rookie" Aureliano managed to say while attacking another stalchild. "The guards thought you might be south."

OOC: Sorry man... but Alex hasn't been throgh North Castle Gates today. He came around from the forest. But I'll let it slide. Also, Alex is from earth. He's new here in Hyrule.

IC: Alex smiled, as the man already knew much about him. Although he didn't know how the guards obtained such information, he kept a steady mind, and watch for oncomming Stalchildren. And then the unthinkable happened: They began to retreat! They were running away, doing everything they could to get out of the way! Alex cheered, and leapt into the air. Never had he thought that he could take on an army of Stalchildren! Alex stopped his cheering, and remembered that he had been assisted by a stranger. What was his name again? Alex thought quickly. Auxiliano? Azlayano? Arliano? Aureliano!! Alex sheathed his wooden sword, (which was quite embaressing at the moment) and extended a hand to his new friend. "Thanks for all your help! I think I can make it home from here on out." The boy said confidently, smiling triumphantly. Suddenly, the howl of a wolfos shattered the silence that had befallen Hyrule.

A shiver went down the young man's spine, and he glanced around nervously. "On second thought, I might need to keep you around a bit longer... My sensei won't be happy with me when I get back... He's gonna make me train extra hard tomorrow!" Alex said with a groan. Looking out into the fields, Alex sighed, and closed his eyes. "Hey, if you need a place to crash, follow me. As you already know, North Castle closes the gates after dark, and Rauru Town is a quite a ways away." The boy began walking out into the fields. "We'd better hurry, I need to get some sleep tonight. I'm sure Sensei will work me extra hard tomorrow." Taking off in a jog, Alex motioned for Aureliano to Follow...
