Three Hylians walk into an Inn room; one is Victor, the second William, and the third Celine.

William, his hand still wrapped in bandage, was the first to collapse onto the bed. Making himself comfortable, he looked up at Victor, who was standing beside him. Celine was off to side; she seemed to be in deep thought.

William motioned for Victor to come closer, and so the younger bard leaned towards his father. In a low whisper, so that no one but Victor could hear, William spoke:

"Victor...son...my hand is badly damaged."

Victor raised an eyebrow:

"Gee, ya think?"

William chuckled.

"Always with your sense of humor, eh, Victor? No, seriously. My hand is messed up. So...I won't be able to play my harp anymore..."

At this, Victor released a quick gasp. William nodded and continued.

"Yes, I'll have to give up music for a while. At least until my hand heals. Which, as Celine said, could take a while. So..."

William sat up a little and reached around to his back, bringing forth the beautiful harp:

"...I want you to have the harp."

Another short gasp could be heard coming from Victor, and he stared in awe at the harp. It's golden shine seemed to bring pure elation to his heart, and he took it in both hands. William continued:

"Only those of...of my bloodline can play the harp, Victor. Remember that. And you are to give the harp to no one. No one. Do you understand"

Mouth slightly agape, Victor nodded a dazed yes as he turned the harp in his hands, looking at it from every angle. Out of curiosity, he plucked a single string; the sound of rain emitted from the instrument. The harp seemed to be crying...

Victor looked at his father with sadness in his eyes, though just a hint of happiness could be seen as well. Speaking in a whisper as well, the young bard addressed his father:

"Are... are you sure, father? It's a big responsibility, and I haven't earned it..."

William smiled and looked up at his son:

"Oh, but you have! Victor, you came to Hyrule on your own to become a bard. You managed to earn the class and get your own instrument, all without my help. Now, normally I would wait a while before passing down the harp, but...due to the circumstances, I think you can have it a little early."

Victor nodded once more and let out a faint OK. Then, still holding the harp in his hands, he stood straight. The young bard contemplated the past few minutes carefully, but before he could question his father further, William had fallen sound asleep. Trying his hardest to walk noiselessy, Victor approached Celine. When she saw the harp in his hands, Celine too gasped.

"The...the harp! Victor...did your father give you the harp?"

Still a little dazed, Victor simply nodded again. Celine, however, beamed:

"Oh, Victor, that's wonderful!"

And without any warning, Celine embraced Victor. A faint smile played on his lips, but Victor was still too flabbergasted to react any further than that. When she finally released him, Victor still had the smile on his face, but he had finally found his voice:

"I know! Isn't it great? I wonder what the others will say..."

OOC: Ack! It feels like this intro is too short. Sorry if I dissapointed, but I couldn't think of much more than this. Anyways, feel free to post here, and there's still plenty of room for newcomers; this is only the beginning of my story, after all.

Also, you may want to check my inventory...

Alpha silently walks through the Inn, wondering where everyone is. He checks several of the rooms that have left their doors open before he hears Victor's voice: "...what the others will say..."

He makes his way towards the room where he had heard them. "Victor, you there?" he asks. He sees them all in the room together, and nods happily. His grin fades for a second when he spots Celine, but he manages to recover quite quickly. "So what was that I was just hearing? Something about what the others will say?"

OOC: Don't worry, Jarod. It's been planned for a while now. I asked both MG and SL13, and they agreed to let me make my story item an actual item itself. I made the GIF and supplied the discription. And, of course, the harp has no special stats or anything, so its basically just for RPing purposes.

IC: Watching Alpha walk in as he spoke his last few words, Victor smiled. Moving towards the Sheikah, the Hylian raised the harp up to eye level and said:

"Why, what you'd say about this, of course!"

Alpha stands in the doorway for several seconds, not moving any part of his body save his eyebrows. Confused, he blinks several times. 'Wait, I thought we'd already figured out that that guy didn't get the harp. Just because we were in the hot desert doesn't mean my brain was fried. So, why is Victor holding the harp like it's some sort of big discovery -

'Hold on, VICTOR'S holding the harp?'
He smiles widely, though a trace of his confusion remains. "Wait a second, did William give you the harp?"

Suddenly, Victor began to chuckle. Waving his hand at Alpha, he lowered the harp a little and spoke:

"Nah, I was just playing! No, my father just fell asleep, so I took the harp so I could fool you and Celine."

With this, the smile slipped from Celine's face, and Victor turned from the two. But it was not to give the harp back to his father so much as it was to hide a growing smile on his face. When he couldn't control himself any longer, Victor began to shudder, and then finally started cracking up. Facing the other two once again, it was easy to see that his eyes were filled with tears of laughter. Between gasps for air and slaps of his knee, Victor explained:

"Just kidding! See, he feels that his hand is too injured to continued playing, so he passed it down to me early!"

Celine seemed to relax just a little and began to chuckle herself, but not so much that she couldn't speak:

"I should've known! You wouldn't lie to me about such a thing!"

His hysteria now reduced to a mere chortle, Victor nodded and said:

"Still, I got you good!"

Then, turning to Alpha:

"So... what do you think?"

"That's great, Victor! Can't say I'm that surprised, though. You're a pretty good bard yourself," Alpha says with a smile. 'Plus maybe it'll get rid of that...flute...' Alpha sighs and enters the room. He nods in greeting to Celine, then focuses on William. "So how's he doing?"

Celine stepped forward, this being her expertise.

"William should be just fine. He really needs rest, so I don't know if we should discuss anything in here..."

Victor laughed and shook his head:

"Don't worry about him. A Biggoron could run through this room wearing clogs and my father wouldn't even twitch! We can talk to our heart's content."

Celine let out a sigh of relief.

"Good! Because there is still much to discuss..."

At this, she reached into a deep pocket in her cloak. When her hand finally resurfaced, it was holding the mysterious dagger from the desert assualt.

"I made sure to pick this up on our way here. It should be some helpful evidence..."

Holding the dagger with great care, Celine walked over to a table and placed the dagger upon it. Then, turning back to the others, she smiled.

"I really do want to help..."

Victor smiled back and walked over to Celine. Not without a little shyness, the young bard put one arm around her spoke:

"You've helped plenty already! I'm just glad you came to our aid in the first place. Lucky you were around, eh?"

OOC: I was gone for a week. A WEEK. I come back, and HA2 has suddenly flourished. How come this doesn't happen when I'm here?!

IC: Victor turned to Denning, happy that he could now hold a conversation with him without any fighting. Reluctantly lifting his arm from Celine's shoulders, he held the harp at eye level once more.

"This, Denning, is my father's harp. Not just any harp, of course, but a harp of the goddesses! You see, my father is a bard of great talent, and one night he was actually able to play for the goddesses himself. Long story short, they rewarded his talent with this harp. Each string is a hair from the head of each goddess. It's magical power is great, to say the least. Now my father has passed it down to me."

Plucking each string to give Denning a taste of the harp's power, Victor managed the sounds of palm fronds waving in the air, waves splashing on the shore, and whales singing their mating songs. With a smile of satisfaction, the bard lowered the harp a bit. But with a single look towards his father, Victor's faced changed to a somber expression. Turning back towards Denning, he continued.

"For you see, Denning, my father was attacked in Parapa Desert. We only have an inkling of an idea, but we figure that it was some kind of organization of evil that was attempting to steal the harp. My father's hand was stabbed with an enchanted dagger, one that caused the wound to be impervious to magic. Since he can't play his harp with an injured hand, he gave it to me a little early."

Managing a smile once more, Victor nodded his head towards the harp.

"So... what do you think?"

"Quite grand indeed VIctor, a dagger making wounds impervious to magic you say? Takes my job away, sorry I could not be of help with that, did you manage to catch the man?"

Victor's head bowed slightly in embarrassment.

"No, we didn't manage to catch the fiend. But I swear that I will! I'll end the whole organization if I can! I'll climb Death Mountain if I must! Swim the Great Sea if I must! Spelunk the deepest, darkest cave if I must! Well, maybe not the darkest cave... but the deepest!"

When Victor was finished with this sudden outburst of vows, he clenched his fists together and attempted to gather his breath. Taking this momentary pause as a chance to blab some more, Celine spoke up:

"I believe that it was Alpha who first tried to heal William. If I hadn't come to his rescue, William could have been seriously hurt. It's lucky that I've read the legends involving Arkkon the Great..."

Finding his voice once more, Victor smiled and turned to Celine.

"Forget Arkkon the Great! It was lucky that you were there in the first place..."

"It certainly was, Celine," Alpha agrees, a smile on his face. But though he wants to trust her, his old suspicions continue to be aroused. Still, he manages to keep almost all traces of accusation out of his voice. "It was very lucky indeed."

Celine shook her head and spoke:

"Not luck at all. I was simply there collecting seaweed. I needed some ingredients for a potion I was making. If I remember correctly..."

She began to rub her chin, looking up at the ceiling in deep thought. Suddenly something dawned on her, and she continued:

"...I needed three bundles of seaweed, one piece of coral, and a pinch of sand. It was simply an experiment, however, so I feel that it can wait. When I saw the dust cloud rise in the middle of the peninsula, I went over to investigate. Once I saw William shriek in pain from a Life spell, I knew something had to be wrong. It wasn't a case of luck so much as it was being in the right place at the right time."

With this, Celine smiled and courtsied once more:

"I am happy to be of service..."

Nogare finally reached the Stock Pot Inn, after coming from Parapa Palace. He got a room, walked through the the hall. He turned the key to aroom, and lay inside. He could not believe that he had been in the desert for more than six days. He had only one meal thoughout the whole time. He had brought a plate of food from the food court, and began to eat his food, more passiontalty than he had when he was in that room in the side of the mountain one day ago. He sat, and in the silence heard someone saying "I am happyy to be of service." on the other side of the wall. So the rumors are true... thought Nogare; You can hear people from the other side of the wall. He thought back, and thought back a little, when entering the room, and remembered them talking about a harp and someone's father. the word father mostly caught his attention, and he slowly put down his food, and left his room, putting his ear onto the door, to hear more. He could hear them begin to leave the room, and he scambled about, looking for somewhere to flee. But it was too late; gthe door was already opened. He smiled as four people stared at him from the doorway. He took a deep breath, and thought through what to say. All he could think of was "Hello." Knowing his father want him to be honest, he continued. "I heard you say something about your father, and I was just curios..." He could think of no more...
