That reminds me of this recent battle I had with Giovanni in FireRed.  I was down to two Pokemon, both rather ill-suited for the task at hand, so I threw out Lapras, performed Perish Song, and pulled her out at the last minute.  Totally owned his last Pokemon in the face.  I was a hero in Silph Co. that day.

Oh, I wouldn't steal your soul.  Besides, I don't think the Doctor would let me.  Unless I immediately gave it to him.  But he's awfully picky about how he acquires his souls.

Also, I now need a lot of max revives just in case my Pokemon get super-pwned.

I used to use Perish song all the time like that! My Politoad knew it, and he owned! My other reliable pokemon was my Lv.67 Likitung. He owned too :)
