fox doesn't charge in he does that dash thing and owns Ike and knocks away Smash ball. Grabs it and owns with the Landmaster.

Ike runs to the edge of the stage, hangs off the edge and holds on for dear life, waiting for when fox leaves his landmaster. Fox walks up to ledge, Ike jumps up, strikes from below, and Foxes heavy damage takes its toll as he is sent flying through the air. I've been in this situation.

I've been studying his fighting style.

Link is weak up close which is where fox excels.

I just need my good controller.

Luckily for me, though, much of Link's tricks deal with effectively playing mind games with the opponent, and his bombs can be used for just that. And regarding close-range combat, Link can follow up his Zair (for it autocancels when Link reaches the ground) with a DAC, a grab, an fsmash, another Zair...or just about any other attack I deem effective, really. ;)

And don't even get me started on Link's Jab Lock. XD
