Reviewing the other topic about PKMN (PoKeMoN, not PiKMiN), I came across many pkmn whose pokedex entries I remebered. Many of them consisted basically of  "[main feature] remains a mystery"; an example would be Digglet, no one has ever seen his lower body, or magnemite, scientists do not know how he manages to float. This of course carried on to other generations, like Cyndaquil's eyes' having never been seen.

This, of course, led to the conclusion that PKMN scientists really know heck about pokemon, I mean, c'mon! It's really not that hard to do some research; the guys know how to transmit matter as energy for crying out loud and they don't know how cubone looks without his mask!!

Maybe because doing these things might drastically alter the pokemons Evo-adreniline causing them to evolve immediately?

MagmarFire

Could also be that they like respecting their privacy, but Chuck's explanation is better.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Uximadesk

It could be, but I don't see a reason for them not to do a necropsy.

Nintendo refuses to make any significant changes when they move to the next generation, aside from simply adding more pokemon/moves/items.

Pokemon don't die. They faint. And if you read the books in the library at The sea place in D/P you find that a dead pokemon becomes another pokemon almost immediately.
Here is a link to the EVO-Adrenaline theory
Doctor oak is a genius.

Oh noes its not on Pokecharms anymore!

Hi no Seijin

I think they can die of old age.

What part?
on the top floor of the library there is a book that says.

If you catch a magicarp eat all of it, pick the bones clean, and release the skeleton into the water and It will return, each and every scale.

Or something like that.

Uximadesk

Now that is some ****ed up ****!
Tell me more! (for I don't think I'll ever get to play D/P)
Does any PKMN turn into a ghost?

One, it's 32 people you have to meet in the Underground.  Or you can talk to the same person 32 times.  Failing that, just get a friend who already has a Spiritomb and have him/her breed it.

Two, if you have an open spot on your roster and a spare Pokeball, you'll get Shedinja when Nincada evolves into Ninjask.
