Evilslayer

Sure it's likely. Mido is the capital of AoL Hyrule, and therefore I believe he was originally supposed to be the Sage in the Temple of Wind, which was left out of the final version of the game. All the other Sages (except Impa and Zelda, as they are characters in the game) are named after towns in AoL.

As for Laruto, I suppose she may be a descendant of Princess Ruto, although if Nintendo had included the two extra Temples in OoT she would have most likely been a descendant of Kasuto, the Sage of Ice.

Not only does the name sound Zolan (or Zoran, but I prefer the old school spelling), but his element is very close to water. And his town is the only town that doesn't appear as a name in OoT. So, I suppose that Kasuto would have been the Sage of Ice.

Shadow Ganon

Oh kool. Well Ruto is already a decendant of King Zora so that one seemed to fit more than the mido side of my theory

medli

mido is a ugly bullying freak! >:(

Shadow Ganon

He may be an ugly bullying freak but he still appears to be the ancestor of Fado, the Wind Sage. Plus Mido is alrite when you get to know him

Evilslayer

But of all towns in AoL, why did they have to name him after the CAPITAL? :o I suppose it could be because of the importance of the Sky/Wind Temple. I've heard that the beta screenshot where Link gets the Triforce actually is in the Wind Temple.

Marcamillian

sorry i forgot i posted in here.... evilslayer... i dont believe that OoT was the imprisoning war. Hardly a war.. a 10 year old boy against a middle aged man

medli

you guys talk too much! i'm going to rest my brain! :-\

Shadow Ganon

is it possable ganon is century's old?

Evilslayer

Wrong. A host of invading Moblins against the defenders of Hyrule Castle. ;) That's the true Sealing War, according the Japanese manual. The Wise Men sealed the gate to the Dark World and stopped evil from flowing. That's where ALttP's explanation ends.

In OoT we see that, despite the Wise Men had succeeded, Ganon had already gathered too many minions and he overthrew the castle.

Also note that the Japanese version of the Sealing War doesn't say that the King commanded the Wise Men to seal the gate, so the fact that he was betrayed and possibly killed before the attack doesn't become a problem.

This is what I believe happens if OoT is the Sealing War. But it all depends on TP, if that game still allows ALttP to be between OoT and TWW.

medli

ganondorf is old.......very old.........really old :(

dan_the_man

if a new gurrudo king is born every hundred years- are they all evil - why do all the ganondorfs look the same?

and evilslayer, dont say that the game boy ones dont cos that is just cos graphics wouldnt let them

Shadow Ganon

Is it the same ganon in WW and OoT???

Davros

Wind waker gannon talks about being fully freed from the enprisonment in Wind waker because you pulled out the master sword, so it is almost certain to be the same man.
