I watched the movie, "An inconventient truth", and I have to say, global warming is alot more serious problem then I realized. If you haven't watched it, please do. For the world's sake.
Go to www.climatecrisis.net to find out tips of you could do to slow down the effect of global warming.

You haqvent realized? I've been freaking out over it for a year. Now the animals in the north are confused, and chose not to hybernate. Thats crazy, and it's definately something to worry about.

My real Poison team in BW2. They all have perfect natures and EV's. I went the extra distance and bred the right IV's into them. Come at me bro.

Hi no Seijin

Hmm, sounds like a documentary, and documentaries aren't really my thing, but I guess I could take a look at it.  But as far as Earth goes, I've read Jurassic Park and agree with Ian Malcolm, a character in it, when he says that Earth isn't really in trouble.  After all, as was pointed out, Earth is over four billion years old and have survived several events.  It isn't so much the Earth we should be concerned about, but perhaps living things.  So forget Earth.  Earth can take care of itself, as well as life on Earth.  But if you care about your life on Earth, and future lives on Earth, then you should caring about such things as global warming.

yeah, global warming could make things a bit messy, but we are assured the world won't end like that.

But their are ways to destroy the Earth, right? Anyways, if people don't do anything to help, millions of people could die beacsue of floods and hurricanes. Also polar bears might all die out.  :'(

DW

there are ways to destroy the earth. they are really hard, omstly impossible. one I heard was to make a giant straw that leaves the atmosphere, then all our air would drain out.

but what all happened to the Earth, Ice ages, giant floods, ect. were all natural. Gobal warming is man-made. Man has detoryed lots of things on Earth, sad enough to say, so couldn't they end up killing the Earth? I think we easily could by our Ignorance and indifference.

hmm...as a Christian, I'm not worried....

So your not worried that alot of people and animals could die in the next 50 years? That our ways of living could be forever changed?

DW

watch the double post, you may want to delete that last one and add it to your first.

and no, I'm not really worried. our ways of life have been changed mutliple times, we are fine. The fact is as long as there is more than one species on Earth, actually, as long as there is mroe than one living thing on Earth, at least one will be dying out. That's just the way it goes. Global warming may not even be happening really. If you look from a Christian standpoint, the world is a lot younger...

so many beautiful animals could die....Sorry if I offended you in anyway, I just feel so frustrated that it seems that no one is doing anything to help. I see Hummers driving in the street and it makes me angry that some people have utter disregard towards nature. I also hate that some people deny that gobal warming doesn't exist when there is so much data that proves it.

DW

but the data also depends on how old the earth is and such. and I'm not offended, this is a debate and you have a right to your opinion. now if everybody was like that then we wouldn't have the Sabata incident and such...

anyways, there isn't much we can do about the cars. First off, we have to get hydrogen set up in the gas stations, as far as I know only California has.

Well I am not much of an environmentalist and it is Al Gore and while I voted for him in 2000 and he was funny on Futurama, I do not think I could pull off sitting 2 hours listening to him talk about global warming and not fall asleep.

And politicians that actually care about the environment. But really why must people have hummers and SUV's if the most your going to have in it are 2 people. Other Countries don't have such big cars, only the U.s.

Hi no Seijin

Scientifically speaking, the Earth isn't living, so it would be kind of hard to kill it.  Besides, man-made effects such as global warming seems to me to be as large as natural effects.  So what if the ozone goes away allowing more ultraviolet radiation gets in?  Continuing with the example in Jurassic Park, some species will die out because of the extra radiation.  But others will survive.  That's what life does; it adapts.  Humans are perfect examples of that.  We've gone from Africa to the Artic Circle, adapting along the way.  That's why it's not such a concern for me.  If you feel concerned and want to do something about it, by all means, go ahead.  You have every right to do so.  I myself will feel inclined to make some ecologically smart decisions.  However, I'm far from worried.
