*girl walks over*

Her:  "Hi!  Were you talking about your favorite video game characters?"

Me:  "Yeah, it's pretty nerdy, I know, but it's something to talk about."

Her:  "No, it's totally cool!  I have a favorite character, too."

(it's worth noting at this point that she's wearing a Nintendo armband that I hadn't noticed)

Me:  "Oh really?  That's pretty cool, who?"

Her:  "Zelda!"

Me:  "Oh, huh.  I guess she is royalty and all, so that's neat.  But she doesn't do a whole lot to help out."

Her:  "No, stupid, that's the PRINCESS.  I like Zelda!  He's so heroic and saves the world all the time!"

Me:  "...you mean Link, right?  Link is the boy in green.  Zelda is the princess."

Her:  "He's my favorite character, I think I would know his name.  Why do you think they call it the Legend of Zelda?  It's not called the Legend of Link!"  *gives smug look*
