Regardless of Timeline, the fact is that the spirit's power can evidently be lost from the blade and regained in increments through the sages.

MagmarFire

Maybe, more generically, she's just a spirit that has been sealed inside the Master Sword without necessarily being the spirit of the sword itself? Wasn't Vaati sealed inside the Four Sword? If so, think of it like that.

Advanceshipping and Rion had better be Chuck Norris approved.

Commodore Axilon

Then why would she look like the sword?

Uximadesk

I'm just going on a sugar rush, but the Master Sword has the power to repel evil, right? Ans it's the Goddesses who grant this power to repel evil, right?
What if that girl [drum roll] is...
a Goddess?
But not just any goddess, what if she is that missing part of Triforce, because, come on! what kind of artifact would be able to subdue a being empowered by a piece of the triforce if that artifact in question wasn't itself empowered with something as divine?
I believe that this girl (and the Master Sword) will be part of the higher Hyrulean pantheon.
But that's just the sugar rush speaking.

Good, 'cause them you'd be GANNON-BANNED!!!

The Glamour Nazi

You guys...

You make me laugh, I really don't care what this "GIRL" is, it's obviously a spirit of the master sword, and the quality of these new games it'll be something really simple.

Don't go getting your hopes up because you'll be sad later, just saying.

I doubt it'll be a goddess, let alone really important. But the power of the 7 sages is one of the only few possible things it can be without being insane speculation.

Also note the Master sword was created to defeat Ganon/dorf because he was so powerful due to the Triforce. That's going to say only one with the triforce can wield it, think of it as... A stat boost stack.

yeah they don't put important people on the cover or anything

The Glamour Nazi

I'm talking about important like a goddess/something like that.

This is why I stay away from new game conspiracy threads.

Cause people know they're going to be wrong/semi-wrong yet still choose to talk about it... :-*

Fishalicious

speculation is fun. you don't have to be right to speculate.

If we only cared about what was right then there would be no theories or timelines. /:

Or in opening FMVs.

Damn it, Square Enix, why put Aria Benett in the opening FMV if she just dies in the first five minutes you know her!

Anywho...

Um, Link had a piece of the Triforce himself.  Maybe that had something to do with it?

I don't think the Master Sword was created to specifically defeat Ganon/dorf, but rather any evil person in general.
Best.  Cane.  EVER!
Secretary of Lolcats; I won the MagmarFire Award for 2/21/08!

*Ahem*
So Link isn't an important person?

But think about it:
She does look a lot like the Queen of Fairies. Their hair is almost the same, and the chrome-ish type appearance is a lot alike, too.
The Queen of Fairies is the most powerful, and if that is her on the front of the new Zelda game, then maybe that's her true form and she holds the power to the Master Sword in her or something? >.>
Idk, all I know is that the girl on the cover looks a lot like the Queen of Fairies with the Master Sword inside of her.

Ah, but then again...the Master Sword doesn't have a blue stone...

Darth Wyndisis

It has a yellow stone though, one that is just like the blue stone she has.

... Maybe the stone is blue because she is sad.  :-(

True. But if she did have the Master Sword inside of her it would be yellow, wouldn't it?

LMAO that's brilliant.

MagmarFire

Didn't the Queen of Fairies have four arms like the other Great Fairies? It has been a while since I've played The Wind Waker, after all.
