Arco takes several hasty steps back from the bars as the Daira smacks at them. Then, his eyes half-closed in an expression of uninspired exhaustion, he lets his gaze sweep the room: behind the bars, outside the bars, Grenada, Blank, Alpha...

The flatness of his eyes settles on the other Sheikah, and then seems to flinch: a ripple in a bed of gray.

"Alpha, can you shoot through the bars," asks Arco, quietly, his voice inflection all wrong--like that of a sarcastic statement. But he asks it seriously, as you know from being around him long enough. Er, probably.

"Sure thing, Arco," Alpha says, withdrawing his Slingshot. He quickly looks around and grabs a few pebbles from the ground, then loads them into the Slingshot. He pulls it back and lets the rocks soar.

Now returning his thoughts to Blank's previous question, Alpha frowns. "I'm not sure how the Beamos could relate to things...it can't be destroying them in that order," he again motions to the numbers, "because '3' appears three times. I guess we could hit them in that pattern, just like I did with the bars. Or maybe..." his expression suddenly brightens. "Maybe there's something underneath them that we could use."

Wanting to test out his hitting idea before he tries destroying the Beamos, he brings his Slingshot around again and fires off rocks at them, following the order of the numbers again.

As Alpha shoots the first(well 3rd) Beamos, the eye changes from Red to Blue, though that doesn't really hint as to good or bad, it is a change, and change is good. The first beamos changes from red to blue upon being shot, the second shot hits the third again, changing it to green, the 2nd changes to green and the 3rd changes to red. After a miniscule pause, all three simultaneously shoot out their color beams, and when these meet in the middle, a flashing orb is created. From this orb, all three beams shoot out in a circling pattern as the fly toward the exit. Each crashes into a different bar causing a bright flash, and when vision returns, the bars are gone. It seems as if the daira had dove out of the way when the beam approached, as it was no longer near the entrance. It was however, the only enemy in your vision.

OOC: Hooray!

Oh, I purchased L3 Dual Wield, but I shall not use it. How would I explain how Blank got a second sword :) Perhaps next time!

IC: The Daira. As the light cleared, and his vision returned, there were two thoughts in this nomad's head. I'm not blind after all! and Oh good, a lizard for me to pummel fiercely. The Daira had been involved in knocking out Grenada, and was partially responsible for the current halt of the dungeon progress. For these reasons, the reptilian monster was Blank's newest of enemies.

For a brief moment, Blank could have sworn he saw a ring drawn around the Daira, with thin cross-hairs painted in the center. Every movement his head made put his imagined scope on a different area of the lizard man's body. He shook his head quickly, erasing the hallucination from his sight. It had become obvious that the blinding rays of the Beamos statues had left him a bit light-headed. He was feeling fine now, however, and instinctively approached the door which, much to his relief, was now free of its barrier. The eager nomad was pleased to know that he had been correct; the Beamos were indeed beneficial to the puzzle's solution. This in mind, Blank drew closer to the Daira, grinning almost devilishly. The muscles in his right arm tensed as his sword plunged through the air, an enormous dart with a single target.

OOC: So we're assuming that the Daira is indeed still in vision though, right? Oh, and Blank... I can't believe you now triple Arco's DMG (and pretty much the DMG that almost anyone can muster with a dagger or sword right now ><). *cowers*

And as for starting Dual Wielding now... well, that's an easy RP, isn't it?
"In a fit of second wind, Blank let his shield clatter to the floor, seized a second sword--the one he always carried as a backup--and fell upon the Daira with a vicious scissor-action: twin blades slicing the very fabric of time as they neared his target's torso."
Of course... you can do better than that!

IC: In his social life, Arco has always been, essentially, a mimic. His first "hello" in the open air with people he would eventually call his friends was merely a parroting of what they'd said to him first. Even to this day he has an overweening tendency to watch--very intently--what those around him are doing before acting. And then, he acts very much in the same way as he'd just seen, usually. Social norms. Gotta love 'em.

Then again... sometimes, fighting is pretty much the same thing.

Arco does not see any mystical bull's-eye center on the Daira. However, Blank's charge forward is as good a call to arms as any hallucinatory flare. The Bard snaps into action from one stiffness to another, almost robotically, and follows the deep-red head of hair in front of him in an almost shadow-like fashion: the same steps, the same chambering of the weapon, the same plunge forward...

It's Arco instead of Blank, a dagger instead of a sword, a copy instead of the original. But moments after the first man's strike, a gray figure follows, attacking the same target with a ferocity which is...

Well, repetitive. Boring. After all, you just saw the Nomad do it first, a moment ago. And a joke's never as funny the second time around...

OOC: By the way, this sentence: "Every movement his head made put his imagined scope on a different area of the lizard man's body"--frame that. It's golden. Made my eyes pop out when I saw what you were trying to describe. ^^ (Yes, from now on I'm going to try more ooc-acclamation; some of you guys deserve it on a daily basis but... never get it :)).

Ya gotta pay attention.

IC: As Blank began lunged out of the hallway the group had previously been in, caution would have served him well. Off to the right of the door stood a Moblin, it's arms at the ready, club drapes across it's shoulder. With a Grunt, he begins to swing toward Blank's body. Blank only has enough time to notice and at the last second(2 + 2 = 4[Fail]) doesn't succeed in dodging at receives a powerful blow to his right ribcage(15 DMG). Blank has 26 HP remaining. Arco on the other hand, makes it past as the Moblin, distracted by Blank, and charges on past to the Daira. His dagger (6 + 4 = 10[Miss] Slides quickly over the left shoulder of the lizard.

OOC: Yes, but how am I going to explain how I got said second sword? :P

I take it we're not moving in Battle Orders anymore. It'd be kinda hard, what with all of the people who have forgotten, or whatever their excuse may be...

IC:

Thump!

It was a comical sort of sound, and the situation itself would appear to be some kind of planned gag, but the one thought Blank's head was not funny in the slightest. Hurtful, agonizing and perhaps even mind-numbing. These words were used to describe the tingling - and throbbing - sensation known as pain. And Blank could tell you that pain is no laughing matter.

Placing a hand on his ribcage, the nomad eased himself to his feet and grimaced as the wound stung vigorously, and he preyed that the bones had not been shattered. He glanced down at his gut, staring at the new injury and fighting the urge to rub it; it hurt him, but touching it would only make it worse. He realized now, that at some point within the last thirty seconds or so, some kind of club-like device had struck him in the torso. Perhaps it was a club? The thought crossed his mind, of course, but the weapon of infliction did not matter to him. Honestly, what kind of capable fighter would hide behind a door's arch, waiting to deliver a cowardly surprise blow? Blank, of course, knew the answer was clear: Only the dirtiest, cowardly Hogs the world had to offer.

Blank had always had a distaste for Moblins. Odd, considering he had been raised by such beasts. Even before discovering the truth behind their roles in many dark eras of the worlds history, the Hylian had never enjoyed being in the company of a Moblin. They always carried that reeking odor that made even the sturdiest of noses twitch, the stench lingering hours after the departure of the beast. To put it simply, they stunk. They appeared to a cross between man and pig, their enormous snouts dripping mucus, their bodies tattooed and pierced at many intervals, and their hideous skin draped over the their thick build. To put it simply, they were just plain ugly. They were the epitome of evil, rudeness, and malice, a symbol of evil in the eyes of the public.

To put it simply, Blank could not stand Moblins.

He glanced up, and just as expected, there stood a Moblin, club and all. Like a two piece set, Moblins and clubs were. Blank fixed this particular Moblin with a cold stare, forgetting the Daira altogether. His sword still in hand, he was about ready to attack again. At this proximity, his strike would not even require much effort. With a newfound sense of hatred for the disgusting beast, Blank's devious grin returned and he jerked his hand swiftly, sending the point of the Deku Sword towards the hog's blubber-filled chest in a menacing thrust maneuver.

OOC: I suppose you could always take Grenada's(for now), he won't need it for a while.

We'll go in order again if we ever get enough people. Like you said, with just you, Arco and Alpha, though, it doesn't seem worth it.

IC: Blank's sword, (2 + 13 = 15[Hit]) slices it's way into the Moblin's chest causing 12(Good RP) DMG. The Moblin lets out a deep bellow, and the other enemies surround the doorway ready to attack.

Enemy 1- The Daira that Arco attacked looked at Arco, but for some reason decided to bring his attack toward Blank. He continues his run, then dives(2 + 2 = 4[Miss]) right past Blank's right side, crashing his face into the ground, the Daira takes 6 DMG.
Enemy 2- Ran from a position behind Blank and his Moblin foe and into the hallway, running toward Alpha. The Daira runs on past Alpha, claws extended, and(4 + 16 = 20[Hit]) the claws tear into Alpha's flesh causing 9 DMG. Alpha has 44 HP remaining. The Daira slides it's feet as it stops and turns to face Alpha.
Enemy 3- The Moblin looked around from it's position between Grenada and Blank, and bounded over to Blank. The moblins growl angrily before pulling it's club to it's right side. With a grunt it(2 + 8 = 10[Miss]) slides in front of Blank harmlessly.
Enemy 4- The Moblin that Blank had just attacked, unexpectedly charges away from Blank, instead choosing to fight Arco. Taking it's club high over it's right shoulder, it swings the club hard and (2 + 19 = 21[Hit]) the club hits Arco on his left shoulder causing 17 DMG. Arco has 14 HP remaining.

It was however, the only enemy in your vision.
Ya gotta pay attention.
OOC: It's the "was" that got me. Like... it "was" the enemy in our vision, or still "is" the enemy in our vision? Hope my confusion is... understandable :P.
Yes, but how am I going to explain how I got said second sword?
Like I said in my example... you have a spare that you always carry with you, just in case you drop your primary weapon down a well or something ^^. Or not. *shrug*

IC: Arco regains his composure after missing the Daira and straightens, only to be smacked right back down by the Moblin Blank had attacked. He allows his body to move with the club's attack, ducking down, spinning automatically, and thrust-...

--Sometimes you have a Little Moment. A Little Moment in which time freezes for you, but everyone else rages on in the battle surrounding. In such Moments sometimes the physical self moves of its own accord, or it simply vanishes from the conciousness of others. In traditional theatre, it is generally at this time that the hero pauses, looks around him with wonder, and then delivers his monologue on the trivialities of life. In many ways, it is like a dream, where you wake up with a jolt of some sort, and--

...-ing up in a flat arc between the Moblin's legs, right where the armor is thin. Well, maybe not so much "thin" as simply "not thick enough."

OOC: Oh sure. Get the enemies to try and kill me while I'm gone. Thanks a lot MG. :P

IC:
There's something really annoying about how sometimes people or creatures attack beings that haven't done them any harm. It's even more annoying - especially for a Sheikah - when the target can't get away from the attack before it hits.

RIIIP! comes the sound as the Daira's claws tear into Alpha's shirt and chest. The Sheikah stumbles backwards as he recoils from the creature's strike, managing to hold in a cry of agony. But he still mutters angrily, "Flames of Din that hurt!" Crimson eyes transforming into a fire-red gaze, if his eyes were those of a Beamos, the creature would be feeling the burning laser.

But, since he can't hurt - just stun into submission - the enemy with looks alone, Alpha grabs his staff from behind his back and whips it around his body in a series of maneuvers designed to confuse and/or daze a being of lesser intelligence. In mid-flight around his body, the staff is abruptly gripped by the Mage's hand and brought down in a crushing blow to the Daira's forehead.

OOC: Grenada's sword? Such an honor has never been bestowed on Blank! I smell a good +2 paragraphs, or so :)

IC:

Slice! was the sound that Blank liked best. The sheering of the inhumane hide of the deadliest and dirtiest. A Moblin with a club. A creature too unintelligent to use a spear or sword like its brethren. "Take that, you filthy swine!" came Blank's victory shout, although it was short lived, for the obvious reason. Aw, he's still alive.

The nomad's head shot around as he heard the unforgettable sound of clothing ripping, fixing his sight on the hideous Daira that had lunged at Alpha. The thought crossed his mind that he should attack to perhaps ward off the lizard, but he was far too slow. He winced as the beast clawed savagely at his ally. If winces could stack, this would be that certain situation. Returning his concern to his own wound - that twinging pain in his ribs - Blank remembered that he had already targeted a monster. The filthy Moblin, the one that he had not yet exacted full revenge. The common saying was "an eye for an eye," but Blank had developed his own. "A body for an eye." What better way to say "You attack me, you die."

It was then that he recalled the Deku's presence. Grenada had been knocked unconscious and had been out of commission up to this point, and Blank saw no signs of any ally casting Resurrection. He won't mind if I... he thought, dashing towards his fallen, leafy comrade. From the hushed expression on the resting mercenary's face, Blank could not determine whether Grenada was at peace, or if he was struggling to stay alive. He assumed it was the former; the latter made him feel awful, standing around with no way to save him. At least the Deku might be glad to know that he hadn't been entirely useless in the battle, despite losing consciousness.

He half expected to hear some type of fanfare; a cheerful melody to accompany the obtaining of a new weapon, if only temporary. He glared behind him at Victor and Arco, as if saying "Well? What are you waiting for?" No tune followed, and Blank sighed sullenly. 'You got the Deku Sword!' he thought, chuckling, but snapping back to reality. Or perhaps that was his ribcage snapping. Whatever. He could feel an equal amount of energy surging through his left arm. Ambidexterity was a great companion of Blank's.

The sword wielded by Hyrule's Greatest Mercenary... thought Blank, feeling honoured to be endowed with the privilege of using the weapon. It was similar to his own; created with Deku wood and sold at a low price. Of course, Blank's was less worn, as he had purchased it for this exploration. He had literally been shipped overseas without sword or shield. An incomplete package, to a recipient that would no doubt send him back immediately in the hopes of a refund. Alas, Blank had instead whisked himself off to a foreign desert to participate in some half-cocked terrorism infiltration, if he had understood the root of the operation.

With swords in hand, Blank maintained his hysterical grin, as if it had been painted on his face with an irremovable substance without him realizing. He drew one blade behind him, and one ahead, closing his arms in a quick yet graceful movement. He pitied the Moblin for a second. An attack like this would leave a normal man - or beast, in this case - mangled beyond repair.

OOC: I am loving the combination of L3 Goron Strength and L3 Dual Wield more and more with each passing minute :P If that attack goes through, it would deal a good 22 DMG, without any other bonuses :)

OOC Arco: Considering the text preceding it was in the past tense...
It seems as if the daira had dove out of the way when the beam approached, as it was no longer near the entrance. It was however, the only enemy in your vision.
... I figured the sentence following wouldn't make sense in the present. Correct me if I'm wrong(english isn't my strong point), it was meant as a hint of sorts.

IC: Arco's powerful thrust (6 + 14 = 20[Hit]) is powered through the weaker spot, cutting through the flesh with a surprisingly soothing sound, and causes 7 DMG to the Moblin.

OOC Alpha: No problem, any time.

IC: Alpha's staff (4 + 4 = 8[Miss]) is swung hard, be maybe Alpha tried to hard, the staff came down to the right front of the Daira, crashing into the ground with a thud.

OOC Blank: I believe that it's only 16(5 + 5 + 6). You don't add STR with both hands.

IC: Blank, swinging both swords toward the Moblin, they (2 + 13 = 15[Hit])both slam into the Moblin's massive skull, and before a sound can be bellowed from it's lungs, the large creature collapses with a loud thud. His body lies, not moving in the sandy soil for a long, time, blood leaking out. It must have perished by now.

Enemy 1- The Daira that had dove past Blank, took a long time to get up, a whine escapes from it's mouth, and it takes out two axes from their holsters it's back. Leaning back, the lizard throws one toward Alpha and a second at Blank. (4 +7, 10 = 14, 17[Miss, Miss]) they both fly awry and crash into the ground breaking instantly.

Enemy 2- The Daira that was facing Alpha charged quickly, extending it's claws before it as it (4 + 15 = 19[Hit]) slices again into Alpha's other side, snarling menacingly at him.

Enemy 3- The remaining moblin growls as it's ally falls to Blank's blades, and charges over angrily. It doesn't hesitate at all, and is definitely lacking it's bumbling appearance tht was present before. Taking a big swing, (2 + 11 = 13[Miss]) it misses Blank totally and groans at itself.

Grrrrr...

IC:
Alpha has no time to recover after his forceful swing throws him completely off-balance, opening up the perfect opportunity for the Daira to slice through him again. The Sheikah barely manages to spin around so that the claws attack his back rather than his already ripped front. But the 'RIIIIP'ing sound still occurs, and he still feels the pain that gathers in that region.

Realizing that today is simply not his day to obtain a good physical strike, Alpha chooses to switch to a style that matches his own unique gifts quite well. Placing both hands in front of him, his body takes on a stance that the others have seen quite often - it is the positioning taken whenever Shada decides to use her own special spell. Hauling the dark-blue orb that has formed in his hands, he fires the blast at the Daira. His eyes almost dare the Fire-based creature to survive his, "ELEMENTAL BURST - WATER!"

OOC: Just bought E. Burst L2. Oh yeah. 8)

OOC: 16, eh? I guess that makes sense. You're the admin here, so you'd know best :) Still, 16 is mighty impressive.

IC: Blank's grin held steady as the hideous beast before him slumped to the floor, dead. It gave him great pride, knowing that he had aided in the constant elimination of these bloodthirsty species. The crimson-haired Hylian's "Hah!" of victory was finally due, and he shouted it with glee, letting it echo and grow to let the remaining Moblin and Dairas know that they, too, would suffer the same fate. Perhaps not from himself; Alpha and Arco were very capable of adding to the damage.

He almost screeched as the odd tomahawk spun swiftly towards him, bracing himself for what seemed to be an unavoidable attack, squinting at his surroundings as he did so. One had been thrown in Alpha's direction as well, and Blank felt relieved as the sound of the deadly weapon breaking upon impact with the floor. He doubted the second would miss him, but the reassuring noise put him at ease, and he exhaled gratefully. His relief was short-lived, however, and he gasped in shock as the Daira tore into Alpha with its sharp claws. Poor guy, he thought, wishing he had been able to warn the mage of the impending danger. Of course, the charging Moblin had averted his attention, and he lacked the free time to worry about Alpha. He chuckled to himself as the hog's club soared past, but stifled his laughter in respect to Alpha's pain.

Not that Alpha needed pity. His Water-based Elemental Explosion was far too impressive for any respect to be lost for him. Blank could only stare in awe as the wild magical attack formed, letting himself fall into a daze. What amazed him was the fact that the Sheikah had been able to choose the element of his spell. Blank knew few scholars capable of this talent. Shaking himself out of the stupor before the enemy gained knowledge of his temporary shock, Blank gripped his own sword, as well as Grenada's, and advanced on the misfortunate Moblin.

The previous attack had rendered its target helpless, and eventually, dead, but the nomad doubted this Moblin had been weakened substantially enough to provide the same effect. In fact, he could not even recall if this pig-man had received any damage at all, but such a thought only seemed to waste time. He shook his head, bewildered by his own thoughts, and jabbed the Deku's sword towards the Moblin's throat, his own sword arcing upwards towards its gut.
