After I'm done with this, I don't wanna see sand anytime soon! Argh!
Once again, Tayro roamed the endless Parapa Desert. He had, once again, lost himself from his team, and, once again, he was lost. By now, Tayro was starting to hate Parapa Desert. Due to his heavy and hot garments he couldn't muster the same agility as his friends, and wasn't able to catch up with their speed, ultimately losing sight of them. This was quite an annoying predicament, as they might be with Master Zaris by now, and he wouldn't know about it.

Huh? What's that?
Tayro quickly turned his head to the left, as he could identify a sound not too far away. Yes, he couldn't see anything, but he could hear various sounds coming that way. He started running towards it. Maybe it would be what he was searching, maybe that's where everyone was. Thanking the goddesses for his great hearing skills, he ran towards the source of the noise.

As he moved closer, he spotted an opening by a rocky formation, with some stairs leading down. The sounds seemed to come from there, so he walked deeper into the hole. As he almost reached the main room, he eyed several people there...
"Fighting?" - Tayro said as he spotted to examine the situation. He noticed a particular entity with a known symbol in his garbs.
An Hakiem! Just wait a bit, everyone, I'll be right there!
He ran towards the battle and, getting a hold of his staff, jumped towards the middle of the 'arena'.
"Sorry! I'm late!"-he excused himself to his party, as he observed the great amount of creatures they were fighting.
"Well, let's diminish the numbers, shall we?"- he said, as he eyed the leader of the crew. He began drawing a rune in mid-air with his staff, of a circle and a star in its center. Focusing all his energy, he channeled the magical properties in him to his hands, who were then transfered to the staff and ultimately to the rune, which seemed to glow brighter with the power it was bestowed with. Fully charged, the boy yelled:
"Elemental Burst! Light!"
A sphere of a pale tone formed in the center of the star, and was quickly projected to Xamnial.

His spell forwarded, he jumped back hoping he could avoid incoming damage from the beastmaster {Dodge Check} and, putting his hands together, started praying for the three goddesses, Din, Farore, and Nayru to aid them in their battle against their foes, to help grant life to Raven so that he may continues his fight and life in the realm of the living.

His prayer finished, he once again eyed his main opponent - Xamnial.

Tayro: Coby's still watching from the stairway.

Rose's sword connects yet again (19+4[Roll+AGI]), and another 7 HP are deducted from the predator of this battle. But even though he has indeed been injured, Xamnial shows no sign of recognizing this fact. He moves just the same as he would have without the hit. His staff bursts outward, smashing into Rose's chest (17+4[Roll+AGI]). As the Human falls to the ground, he grins and stands proud before her collapsing form. "At least I know how to use my rattle," he taunts, then turns away.

Azador and Tayro's Elemental Bursts fly forward, one taking on the random element of Water (Azador's) and one being of Light (Tayro's). The first hits the Sheikah for full damage (1+5[Roll+SPI]) and hurls him backwards. But this gives the Hakiem a single extra second to prepare for the second burst's force, and he is barely able to resist it somewhat (16+5[Roll+SPI]). Azador's attack causes the full 13 DMG, while Tayro's weakened one deals only 10 DMG. Azador can do nothing to protect himself from the Hakiem's counter (13+4[Roll+AGI]), and loses the same amount of HP that he has just subtracted from Xamnial. Tayro's Dodge Check fails (12+6+1[Roll+INT+AGI]), and he is similarly blown away by the warrior's staff (12+4[Roll+AGI]), also losing 13 HP.

Xamnial is now infuriated. He is down to a mere 25 HP, and even with full SPL, he knows no spells to rejuvenate his health. But a grin forms on his face for one last time. This will be the last spell the Beastmaster needs to close this fight out - and everything is in place for it to work to his satisfaction. His staff is abruptly thrown to the ground, and he places his hands together as if to pray, again. But this is not Magical Refreshment...oh no, it most certainly is not...

A bright green light engulfs his form as, through the spell, he examines the room. The magical requirement is satisfied...the sacrifice has been made...and the beastmaster is willing. Perfect, at least for him. Death to those fighting him. The light radiates outward in a flash as his body suddenly rises into the air.

"PRIMAL SPIRIT!"

When the light fades, all those still conscious can only look on in shock...for Xamnial has transformed into Scizorn. Xamnial Scizorn stands mighty above the gathering, ready to annihilate them with its fangs and scales.

(Primal Spirit: transforms Xamnial into any beast that has fallen thus far in the battle in exchange for all his SPL. All stats become whichever of the two were greater. When his new form loses all HP, the caster returns to his Sheikah form with the stats returned to prior the casting.)

Tayro's Innate Check fails (4+6[Roll+INT]) and the Favor of the Goddesses refuses to come down and bless the weak Raven. As he does so, one of the Kakris Beetles fly towards him and attempts to take a bite out of him, but the bug fails as well (2+2[Roll+AGI]).

Can it be that even the Goddesses have given up on any chance they have of winning...?

Alpha refuses to believe this. Grabbing a mighty orb from out of nowhere, he slings an Elemental Explosion of Light to the ground. The flash takes out the ten remaining Kakris Beetles, and even manages to impact against Xamnial Scizorn (9+5[Roll+SPI]), dealing 17 DMG to the beast. But Xamnial's recoil is more than enough to send the Sheikah into a deep sleep (14+9[Roll+AGI]), as it deals a mighty 19 DMG to Alpha. Life fading, his last thought before drifting into a recuperatory sleep is that maybe he was wrong...maybe the Goddesses are actually against them in this endeavor.

bastard. Enraged at his own failure at the assasins battle, the shiekah kasei decides to make up for it here. You all die! The servant rips out a bow and arrows, and fires furiously at his enemies, all of them. he then decides he doesn't care who wins, and prepares to shoot those he was just working along side...

Arrows fly every which way with a fury only seen before in the battle by the Scizorn's rampages against the group. Unfortunately, Xamnial's intelligence mixed with Scizorn's speed enables him to easily weave through and around the bombardment (1+5[Roll+AGI]). But the merged beast's counter strike in made with perfect aim - kind of hard to miss with a tail stretching nearly fifty feet (15+9[Roll+AGI]) - and Kasei's health takes a 19 point reduction.

Shada runs forward with her twin daggers, ready to strike. Xamnial sees the woman coming and manages to get in the first attack, grabbing her into his mouth and chewing for all he's worth (15+9[Roll+AGI]). When the female Sheikah is spit out at last - Scizorn might not care about eating people, but Xamnial is against cannibalism - she collapses in a heap. After a few seconds, she falls from the indentation in the wall that her impact had made, and lays on the ground, doing little more than breathing irregularly.

Kasei sees that no matter whoes side he's on, he'll lose, so he decides he's on noones side, and fires arrows at everyone, and tosses a few bombs at nogare, just for the fun. feh, too fun! The mercinary lives up to his class, and is ready for the pain... just then, aria appeares behind azador, scared of her guardian's evil...

Kasei's aim proves to be absolutely horrible, hitting only two of the seven targets (OOC: figures it was my two... ). Plus, hitting Koura is no real feat since she's slumped on the ground, knocked out from one of Scizorn's attacks a while back. Yukie had been paying attention to Xamnial, and therefore was unprepared for an arrow from a supposed 'ally'. The arrows do 8 DMG to the Gerudo and the Deku.

Yukie instantly turns around and charges the Sheikah, slicing him apart with his twin Deku Swords (20+5[Roll+AGI]). The Sheikah is helpless against the betrayed Deku, and abruptly finds himself falling unconscious as well.

Xamnial shrugs mentally. An unexpected ally, he might have been, but not a true ally in the Hakiems' cause, so his sacrifice means little. Instead of trying to aid the foolish Sheikah who had attempted to fight against both sides, Xamnial Scizorn rushes forward, chomping down at Raven, hoping to finish him off. He is not successful (3+9[Roll+AGI]), proving that the Sheikah is a foe to be wary of even when he's weak.

...As soon as kasei's body hits the dirt, he vanishes, and aria brings out her own bow, but instead of hurting everyone, she aims only at scizorn. take that! The young shiekah was body shocked and enraged by kasei's betrayal, and decided to make up for it...

"Ow!"- Tayro yelled, as he jumped back to et away from the raging battle for a second. As he reached an area he deemed 'safe', he started rubbing the place the enemy staff had made contact, and surely it had layed marks. Angered by the weak shot he managed to launch, he once again prepared for extra contact.
He started drawing a rune, when suddenly, his attention was turned to the Beastmaster, who seemed to shapeshift to another creature.
Uh-oh! Not good!

Instead of charging like mad against the newly-formed foe, he instead tried a recovery method - he kneeled, and started praying once more.
Please... isn't our cause good enough? Must innocents suffer from this group's evil schemes? Please, grant us more will to fight! He had given his full vigour in his prayers, and only one thing was certain: They needed their aid. {Favor of the Godesses + WILL = to max amount Tayro has/ all the amount needed for FotG to suceed 100% - the lowest (If this can't be done, then WILL+5)}

Once again, the lad prepared yet one more magical trick from his sleeve, only to be interrupted by the sound of... an arrow. Sighting Kasei's arrow just in time, Tayro jumped back, sucessfully avoiding the 'trap'. He looked at Kasei with anger in his eyes. You doublecrossed us! Now you'll see... ... Tayro's revenge? Didn't seem like it, as Yukie gave him the final blow, rendering him unconscious. Take that!

Once again, he eyed the monumental creature, and for the third consecutive time, he tried to prepare another elemental burst. This time it seemed to suceed though, as no-one came to interrupt his casting. He drew the familiar Elemental Rune with his staff, and once again readied a nasty attack. Not knowing if the beastmaster still had the same weakness, Tayro decided to give it a shot anyways, as he summoned more and more power to the rune.
"Elemental Burst! Light!"- he yelled, and once again shot the magical orb against his foe.

That's when he saw something he didn't exxpect. In the stairway was a boy, about his age, maybe just a little younger, who was watching the battle. Tayro didn't need to think twice to understand that he was siding with the Hakiems. Nontheless, maybe he could tall him a bit more about the gang's intentions, or understand why they follow that Zaboorak creep's orders so blindly. Questions that needed answering were lying on the air, and maybe, just maybe, he could find the answer to any of them. Avoiding the Beastmaster at all costs {Dodge Check}, he approached the boy.
"Hi!"-he told him, a smile in his face.

Bright lights descend upon Tayro as his Favor of the Goddesses activates (2+6+7[Roll+INT+Will]), primarily because he had willed it so heartily to happen. The life within him is greatly boosted once again, as 12 HP is returned to his total, bringing him almost all the way back to full health.

Attracted by the bright lights, however, is Xamnial Scizorn. Charging forward, he attempts to take another bite out of the Hylian, but fails (1+9[Roll+AGI]). This puts him in excellent proximity for Tayro's next ability - the Light Elemental Burst. Unable to resist it in such quarters (2+5[Roll+SPI]), Xamnial takes a full 10 DMG...but it seems that he has lost his weakness to the Light Element. Tayro's Dodge Check fails miserably (4+6+1[Roll+INT+AGI]), and as a result, it is the Hylian boy who next suffers from the closeness he has to his enemy. A horn digs into his back (12+9[Roll+AGI]), actually propelling him closer to Coby, though it does cost him 19 of his HP. It is fortunate that he had succeeded in healing himself earlier.

The young lad Coby looks over as Xamnial forces Tayro in his direction, smiling the entire time. "Well hello there," he replies cheerily to the Hylian's greeting. "Sir Xamnial's abilities are very impressive, aren't they?" Bringing up one hand to move a strand of his dark brown hair out of his green eyes' line of sight, he brushes it away as he continues. "And to think: he's not even one of our generals. He often gets defeated quite deftly by our Masters. It's almost sad to see how terrible you guys are against him. Of course," he brings both hands behind his head and lays back against the wall. "I'm not really one to talk. He'd beat me with no problem for sure."

Khaki pants, an open black vest, and a white long sleeved shirt, with brown hair and green eyes...he really doesn't look like someone who could be associated with a group of assassins. And yet he is the personal assistant of the Hakiems' leader...

Edit: Oh, and I forgot about Aria's attack. Her arrow misses (7+5[Roll+AGI]), while Xamnial's attack hits her square on (16+9[Roll+AGI]), dealing 19 DMG.

Rose wanted so bad to respond to Xamnial's statement, but the wind had been knocked out of her. More than her wind; the last of her consciousness was also gone. It wasn't the first time she had fallen in battle. But she hopes she can regain consciousness soon so she could send her retort to the Hakiem.

OOC: Hey, that is fun. I can see why you all RP your characters going unconscious. However, I'm quite displeased with Nogare. Why isn't he here healing the ones who fell? He seemed to make it clear at the end of FoG III that he's the healer of the group.

"Yeah, he really quite packs a punch, I must say..."- replies Tayro, as he rubbed the place where the Scizorn just hit him. He was hurt and exhausted, but still, he had enough energy to talk, so, why not? And maybe, just maybe, he could acquire some answers. But, besides the snotty attitude he had just showed him, maybe there was some good inside. Sure, even the Hakiems have hearts, no?
"Wow, if what you say is true, then you're all preety strong!"- he told him, as he was grateful for that information - if this fella was easy beatened by the Hakiem leaders, and they were having such a hard time, that meaned that he really needed to train his skills harder.
"And I must say, your own skills in stealth are quite impressive! How'd you do that?"- he asked, just to continue the conversation further, as he really doubted that Coby would reveal him something like that.

The boy looked at the battlefield to see that Xamnias was easily beating everyone, and that the battle might not have a nice ending to it, and yet, he was to weak to do anything worth of damage to the beast... so he decided to stay quiet for the meanwhile, as he thought of a strategy he could use in their advantage. Some debris were on the floor, and the shrine walls resembling sand only gave Tayro a shiver down his spine. Even on a shrine they had to put sand in it?! {Awareness Check}

Turning back to Coby, he realized they haven't yet been introduced.
"Oh, sorry! With all this fighting, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Tayro, and you?"-he asked, never removing his friendly tone of voice. Really, how could a person like him be a personal assistant to Karunik? Surely there was more than it met the eye, and Tayro needed to knopw what - for curiosity's sake.

As Raven lies with his back on the fallen Scizorn he sees the white light associated with a healing spell hover over him but almost as soon as it appears it's gone and his broken ribs are still as broken as ever. Am I cursed?

He watches as Xanmial transforms into a second Scizorn and quickly dispatches the students of Zaris. Suddenly a flurry of arrows fills the air as Kasei fires arrows everywhere, in a manic attempt to hit something, anything, as he soon discovers when an arrow sticks in the corpse beside him. It's not a close shot - at least an arms length away - but the intention was clear. There's something not right about him. Then Yukie puts him to rest, he guesses it's to protect everyone from any more psychotic attacks. Although it could have been revenge for nailing him with an arrow.

Having been attacked unsuccessfully once, he lurches to side as Zanmial attemps to finish him off landing painfully on his chest but managing to avoid becoming Zanmials chew toy. His body racked with pain, barely clinging on to consciousness, he drags himself using the scales of the Scizrons body and gets into the postion he was in earlier albeit futher down it's body. He watches as Tayro uses Favour of the Goddesses on himself. Don't mind me. I'll just wait here for the inevitable. It appears as if Raven is cursed, cursed to suffer tremendous pain with no reprieve. Not from his allies or his enemies.

"Well of course!" Coby says merrily at Tayro's comment about the Hakiems' strength. "Assassins of this caliber need to be able to battle against overwhelming odds. It's a little known fact," he leans in closer as he says this, as if imparting some great insight, "that the best assassins always assume they are going to mess up on a job. So they train to become incredible warriors as well as silent killers. If they fail to slit some knight's throat, they have to be ready to take him on in man-to-man combat and still succeed.

"As for my skills, I was trained by my good master, Karunik. He's so incredible - even moreso now with the skills he's gathering. But of course, I can't let loose my secrets, sorry." The kid's grin remains fixed firmly on his face, almost as if he doesn't know how to frown.

Tayro's Awareness Check succeeds (12+6[Roll+INT]). He sees a ton of debris lying all over the place, and so much damage has been done that it is somewhat surprising that the statue of the Colossus on the far end of the room remains standing tall. There is also the pathway leading further into the maze of the shrine. Nothing else stands out, and even that stuff seems useless against Xamnial Scizorn.

Coby reaches out and grips Tayro's hand, matching his friendliness. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Tayro. My name's Coby! I'll ask Master Karunik not to kill you; you're a nice guy, even if you are teamed up with our enemies." His smile remains, and he speaks about death almost flippantly.

Back on the battlefield, Xamnial's mouth opens wide as he takes in the available targets: Nogare the knight...Raven the thief...Azador the mage...Koura the Gerudo...Yukie the Deku...Tayro the talker...Aria the newcomer. Eyeing each one in turn, he immediately crosses off those who pose no threat to his newfound brilliance. Koura is asleep, so she's gone from the list. Raven is almost too weak to move, and though Xamnial Scizorn wouldn't mind finishing off the Sheikah, he has proven to be somewhat of a challenge to hit thus far.

Next, those whom he can't eliminate with a single attack. He inwardly chuckles as he examines Nogare. As a knight, he is no doubt well acquainted with the legends of brave men slaying dragons...but Scizorn is far from a dragon and could avoid the sword with ease. More importantly, the son of Greyblade retains the most health of the entire group. There is also Aria, who might have already proven to be nowhere near as mighty as her guardian Kasei, but her health is notable as well. Finally there is the Deku Yukie. It certainly would not hurt his reputation in the Hakiems to bring back the Deku that Dessil had been tasked with finding, but again, Yukie has too much HP...though just barely.

Those remaining are Tayro and Azador. Tayro is speaking with Coby, and Xamnial has no desire to hurt Karunik's assistant, even if it is just by accident. But Azador is a secret ally with Master Zaboorak...whom Xamnial never really liked anyways. What's more, Azador retains the most magical power, which is the weakness of this body. The mage will go first, he decides. Launching forward towards his chosen target, Xamnial's horn smashes into him (18+9[Roll+AGI]), sending him flying into the wall without a shred of consciousness remaining in his body.

In his mind, Xamnial grins again. Another one bites the dust...
