OOC: Sounds good! Love the new Avatar  And a seperate forum in parapa huh? When will this be up? What if its up already? Ill have to check it out when im finished. Also, Alpha was looking for a shadow medallion, and a light medallion. Im sure he was creating a banner. I'll look around some more Alpha, just one question. How big does it have to be? I can probably find a small pair of medallions. I'll check back here later.

A unanimous decision - the group would indeed become a guild. Alpha looks around the table with a grin on his face, heartened by the fact that his ridiculous speech had somehow had the effect he was desiring. "Very well then," he says calmly. "From this point forward, we are the members of the first guild that this generation of Adventurers will know.

"Our tasks are twofold. First, we must stand between Order and Chaos. As Neutral bound people, our task is to ensure justice - a justice that neither the side of 'good' and 'evil' supports. We stand between the light and the dark: we are the Twilight.

"And second, we must protect the people that cannot protect themselves. We are their Guardians. Therefore, we shall be known as the Twilight Guardians.

"I have put a bit of thought into where our base of operations should be, and have finally settled on a place that holds frightening memories for most of us, but may also hold great secrets that could be helpful for our cause. The Shrine of Spirit, which most of us returned from a mere week ago, is large, abandoned, and difficult to find. I do not doubt that there may be perils awaiting us in its labyrinth, but if they do exist, we shall face them together.

"And now..." Alpha's merry face turns solemn in an instant. "Now...it is time for us to face this war together. There are tasks that must be done so that justice may be served, and it is up to us to see that they are carried out to completion."

OOC: FYI, I have several small ideas on things we can do at this point - contact me if you wish to offer up ideas. Right now, though, I am working on one major thing in conjunction with Nogare, so I will not be posting again IC in this topic until I've discussed it with him and we believe we have a finalized project. Until that time, however, feel free to continue the discussions.

Oh, and I have no idea how that Forum MG said we'd get is coming. I'll talk to him about that as well. As for the medallions, I think I have something good going, but if you find anything of any size, ZV, please do send it my way.

We're becoming a guild. The six of us... Blank looked around the table at the adventurers who would quickly become his greatest allies on the Hyrulean battlefront. Alex, Rose, Tayro, Dogura and Alpha. He knew them well enough by this point in his stay in Hyrule, but he never would have imagined that the six mismatched adventurers could ever affect the outcome of Hyrule's latest war.

Justice was very appealing to him. He had been raised without such a virtue, surrounded by a people whose morals were enforced by threats, cowardice and murder. Blank had certainly seen very few justices to cancel out the injustices he had been exposed to. Because of this, he was ready to combat not only the evil, but the "good" as well.

"So what exactly are we going to do first?" asked Blank, knowing that Alpha would want to take action almost immediately. He suddenly recalled his surroundings: citizens of Hyrule. Lately, the treason charges were becoming ridiculous. Even mentioning a word of opposition against the Royal Family would result in death, or worse. The Hylian leaned forward, spilling the dregs of his drink without realizing nor caring. The minuscule trickle of ale seeped through the table's cracks and splashed on the floor with delayed "Drip!"s, but Blank was unable to notice. "Maybe this isn't the best place to talk about this. This "Spirit Shrine" might be a better location than a tavern filled with loyal Harkinian fans."

"I agree," Rose replied, though somewhat apprehensive to return to the shrine. "I'd feel better if other people weren't around. Why meet in the tavern in the first place is beyond me."

Alpha smiles at Blank and Rose's concerns. "Believe me, you two, I thought about that myself. However, we needed some place where we could meet quickly, and in a place like this," he waves his hand towards the main portion of the tavern, which is a clamor of noises and people acting like complete idiots. It's obvious what he's referring to: the sound. A bar creates so much noise, it's a wonder that the group has been able to hear each other throughout their discussion, "it would be quite difficult for anyone to eavesdrop in on us.

"But I digress, you're both right. I've said all that needs to be said, so if we all want to leave, then I suggest we split up and meet outside the gates. Then we should be able to travel together without difficulty." He pauses for a second. "Oh, and if you think you'll have any trouble getting outside with the gates raised, well . . . the Void is an option."

OOC: I ask that nobody else post here, until one more post is made . . .

Nogare, that's your cue. Do it!

OOC: You got it, cheif! :D

IC: At that moment, you hear the sound of the wooden Tavern door not far away from your table open widely, it's fulcrum causing it to bang against the wall, and a few Hylian Knights, now with new iron halberds. "My gods! That new street magician in town was almost impossible to capture. At least he finally got into the dungeons, where he belongs, for now. He will be punished after the battle, should North Palace survive."

They at a table, and one of them, a Deku, scanned the area. Then, when he eyed the group, he eyeballed down at the woman's sword. He sqeaked in suprised, and in his Deku accent, which was both shrill and pestering, "Oi! Hey, you! Lady, why are you armed?! All of you, in fact! You Zola! You're not supposed to have weapons!"

OOC: I mean not to offend anyone, but this Deku is slightly racist. Even when, in my theory, Deku are related to Octoroks, being called a Zola is extremely offensive, being that Zolas worked for Ganon, and are now Exiles. Zoras = Nice, good people. Zola = extremely evil villian, hateful toward the Goddesses, etc. But it's hat to be expected in a world of different races. I'm not personally trying to hurt anyone, but just making a characteristic for this guy... it's kind of like the Jews - because the ansestors did a very bad deed towards the public (killing Jesus), their desendants are looked down upon.

And I'm getting somewhere with the weapon thing. :D Savy?

Rose lauged at Alpha's statement. "Alpha, I can shape shift. Leaving North Castle won't be a problem for me." Then Rose's head snapped over to the Deku who just spoke. She saw who his company was. And she knew what she was about to say was extremely stupid; she knew she shouldn't have said it. And yet she said it anyway. "I'm armed because uninhibited men like your pals there may decide they can do whatever they want with me. And if no one's supposed to have any weapons, then why do you all have them?"

Rose prayed to the goddesses Alpha could think of something to save all of them; she rather not let the Hylian Knights know that she can shape shift.

Alpha nearly slaps himself in the head again when Rose responds to the Deku's inquiries. It isn't nearly as stupid as Alex's earlier remarks about the king, so he does keep his hand by his side, though it does make the Sheikah wonder if Rose had had anything to drink. He hadn't seen her taking in any alcoholic beverages, but with a statement like that, it certainly is a possibility . . .

Alpha steps forward, holding up a hand to stall anyone else's responses. "I'll take care of this, guys." He walks forward with a confident - but not overly-confident - stride, and nods in friendly greeting to the group. "You'll have to excuse the lady's curtness; I think she may have had too much to drink today." It was true: he did think that it was a possibility. The fact that he had no evidence supporting the fact was beside the point.

"The fact is, though, that we, like you all, are participating in the defense against the oncoming Exile attack. As you can see, my summons to today's meeting are right here." He withdraws the letter which had been delievered to him days before, acknowledging that the King's Council was set to begin, and holds it out where all the Knights can see. "We stopped in here for a few drinks in an attempt to relieve the anxiety that had fallen upon us, and were just leaving to go prepare."

He certainly hopes that he doesn't have to do anything . . . drastic . . . before the Twilight Guardians can get out of the city . . .

A racist Deku? thought Blank, astonished. The entire race of scrubs was far removed from the ordinary, mainstream races of Hyrule. Their leafy apparatus and tap-like mouths made them far more difficult to take seriously; the fact that this Deku could find a woman and a Zora - two of the more graceful specimens of Hyrule - was laughable. But the Hylian's laughter had yet to begin.

Blank was glad that Alpha was able to not only stretch the truth, but partially conceal it as well. Had it been his own duty to respond to the discriminating Deku, he doubtlessly would have said something far from appropriate. In the sense that the six Twilight Guardians would be sent to the dungeons or gallows almost immediately afterwards. He would have said something along the lines of "Why, we're simply plotting against the the Royal Family. But don't worry! We're not Exiles, we just don't want to do things Harkinian's way!" Thankfully - and the others would be glad for this - he kept his mouth shut.

A short, stifled laugh escaped him, but through his nose, creating a held back snorting noise. Inescapable was the hilarity behind Alpha's description of Rose's statement. He found himself coughing and practically gagging just holding his laughter back. His eyes watered, to the point that he could not see the Knights in their entirety.

Wiping the wetness from his eyelashes and drying his moistened fingers off on his jerkin, all Blank could do was smile oafishly at the Knights. It was best to leave the talking to Alpha; despite the Sheikah's claims that he was less than fond of leadership, the mage certainly had a better way with words than the nomad.

All the knights were astonished to Rose's words, but before one of them - a Goron - could argue, Alpha spoke. A Hylian did a motion with his fingers to the Deku and Goron before they could blurt out their arguement. He nodded to Alpha, but wore no smile. "Tell me; if you fight for Hyrule, why did you not do as the King asked? We are getting iron weapons* from the Blacksmiths of the city. They wre the king's orders, being that the enemy knows that we are armed with wooden weapons. We were the first to get the iron weapons. If you were at the King's council, and you are now here, you would have had to gotten yours before us. Alas, your human friend here has iron. She must have brought it from elsewhere, which is alright. But the rest of you bear nothing but wooden weapons, disobeying the orders of the king. Is a drink more important than His Highness?"

As he speaks, and as Blank is coughing in laughter, another, a Sheikah, snarls at him. He looked away from him, and at Sheikan mage. He said nothing.

You see the Deku's tube-like mouth/nose rise slightly on either side.

Alpha lets off a low chuckle at the Deku's challenging question - moreso to give him time needed to formulate a response than because he found it funny. "Trust me, my fellow guardians of Hyrule, we have no intention of disregarding King Harkinian's decrees. But to think that times such as these have fallen upon Hyrule . . . and without the Hero around to aid in the defense either . . . I believed that I had gotten over my sorrow and fears when I originally heard the news and signed up to aid in the defense, but listening to his Majesty's words brought on a much deeper level of grief that I am accustomed to." Indeed, the King's words had troubled him greatly, and he doesn't even have to try and force the pained look that appears on his face. If only it had been the odds that were stacked against them rather than the decisions the King had made . . .

"I ask for your forgiveness," he says abruptly, a deep sigh punctuating the remark. "It is most likely that we all should have gone straight to obtain the weaponry which will be required. Not knowing when the attack will come, not knowing how successful we shall be in playing our roles, not even knowing not knowing if we will survive . . . I am sure you all must agree, it is a very stressful issue. Otherwise, what would you be doing here?" he adds, giving them a smile suggesting comradery. With a bow, he finishes. "With your leave, we shall head off to begin preparations for the oncoming battle."

Rose started to head out, but something stopped her. A bad feeling rose up in her. She thought it may be better for her to stay. Her right hand gripped the hilt of her sword, more out of comfort than preparedness.

OOC: Ahem, I originally had Rose leaving the tavern, but then Nogare posted. I should've figured that there might be a fight.

After less than a second of waiting, the human points his iron halberd at Rose. "Heh. Don't think we just came to this tavern to enjoy a keg of rum at the eve of battle. The king has ordered us to find you and arrest you. You are traitors to the throne of Hyrule. He's already confirmed it. A sheikah, a human, a zora, and three hylians. Perfect description. We've been sent to look for you right after resiving our iron weapons. We were expecting you to be where the most people get drunk. Now, you are under arrest! Drop your weapons emmediately, by orders of Harkinian King!"

OOC: This is getting somewhere.

OOC: Finally . . .

IC:
"What?!" Alpha yells, trying to inflect his tone with a good degree of disbelief. "Traitors of Hyrule? Do not insult me, gentlemen; I have already vowed to give my life for this land and to protect the people that are within it, and you insult me by saying otherwise!" Rage easily replaces the disbelief, and the words flow freely from his lips. Hopefully, they will overlook the fact that he has not pledged any loyalties to the throne . . .

"Heheh... Nice try though. This was just the same trick the evil Ganondorf had done long ago in order to trick the king. You are a traitor, after giving your alliance! It came from the King's own mouth! Your crime was critical; you sold your soul to the Exiles!" He went behind Alpha, and the others went behind each other of the Twilight guardians: The Deku went to Rose, the Goron went to Alex, the human went to Alpha, the Hylian went to Blank, and the Zola went to Dogura, tying bonds around their wrists.

OOC: This is where choices come in! Will you
a) Accept your arrest?
b) Fight them off?
c) Do something like spit in their face? :D

And sorry Alpha.
