Worru tryed to push his way through the crowd of fellow adventurers. Next time I decide to help people, I'm choosing the people with less people... he thought, grudingly, as he finally made his way through, but met a wall on the way out. He shook his head to relive some of the pain, then ran after Polka, not remembering where he was, exactly.

OOC: Sorry for the short post, but I can't exactly think of what I could use to make it longer.

Blank had been standing perfectly still. Watching, waiting, and resting. There were far too many people here. He could smell the odors of each individual person as they passed him by in their efforts at searching for evidence. The nomad didn't want to turn tail and exit. He knew he could be of some use eventually, and besides, this Saber boy was becoming an interesting specimen of mystery. In fact, Blank's interest in the boy's tribulations were rivaled only by those of the Sheikah mage Alpha, who was best known as the coldest, vaguest man the Hylian had ever encountered.

The others seemed to causing quite a ruckus. Blank wondered why some adventurers had chosen to incorporate outside friends rather than coming alone. This was a but a simple inn, and it was packed. The constant jibber-jabber of all those present was beginning to bother him, and so he just stood there, motionless. He didn't even bother to speak, for that matter, and even closed his eyes every so often, often finding himself drifting to that surreal realm of sleep. Of course, this was hardly the time for such behavior. Silence was one thing, but to fall asleep on the job - despite this job being voluntary at best - was just disrespectful.

He watched as the innkeeper scurried off towards the stairs, and he too wondered how the man had not been accosted yet. Some of these people are like children! he told himself, finally coming up wit ha thought worth thinking. It was true enough, too. The best move Saber could have made would be to send most of the rabble out, leaving only the core adventurers and the heads of whatever groups had shown up. For now, anyway. Blank wouldn't mind having them around afterwards, should a fight break out. Strength in numbers, he told himself, remembering how even weak Moblins of the clan could be a strong force if there were enough of them.

Finally deciding to take some action, and finding some use in himself, for that matter, Blank bolted after the man who had been referred to as Polka in a quick lunge rather unbefitting of his slow grunt build. Before the businessman could even set foot on the stairs of his establishment, Blank's strong right hand had grasped him by the collar of his shirt, and the nomad yanked hard. Whirling the man around, Blank yelled at the man, speaking in so loud a tone that the others gathered at this inn would probably jump and turn to see what was going on. Because despite Blank's outwardly friendly and idiotic demeanor, he could be a very serious person if the time called for it.

Squinting in anger and showing all sorts of persuasive, frightening attitude, Blank barked out his command, sticking his face in close and raising the innkeeper up off the floor a few inches. “There's been a murder, and we need information on the gang who did it. They were here, and I know you know some things about them!” Pushing the man forward, Blank let him fall hard to the floor on his knees. The Hylian knelt down next to the queried one and spoke in his ear loud enough for everyone else present to hear. “Tell Sabertache here everything you know, every last detail. Or I'll take you aside and extract it myself.” Blank stood to his feet and took a step back, glaring at the man while nodding to Saber. “Well go on!” he shouted, likely loud enough to at least let the men outside know that there was something going on inside. Those who knew Blank were likely not familiar with him acting in such an aggressive manner.

Kasei stared at Blank with his emotionless eyes. The mercinary looked on with indiference, but drew his scimitar slightly in case of a struggle. This man would be easy to silence. There was no worry, but something still tugged at the back of Kasei's mind . . . Hmmm, I wonder . . . what has these people so worked up? Death is natural, so is murder, its the guards who should be investigating, not some kids!

A nagging feeling entered Rose's head. She had to be somewhere else, doing something more important than this, and it had to be done now. But no, she had promised Saber she would help him. She pushed the feeling to the back of her mind. However, something else came to the front. You have a little thing called "soldier's intuition." You always listen to it and act upon or inform a superior officer of it, even if it is out there. Is that understood, Cadet Hillmound?

Yes, Lieutenant Kantoro,
the ranger replied in the present. She made her way to Saber and muttered in his ears, "I'm deeply sorry, but there's something I have to investigate on my own. A soldier always has to follow her intuition. I hope you understand." And then she was out of the room, jogging out of the inn, and running towards the castle gate.

Saber turned to face Rose as she whispered her apology to him, and he felt shreds of his hope trailing away. "I understand." He muttered back before she left. Has she given up on the search? He wondered, thinking about what they had found--It didn't really give them much of a clue as to where the gang may be..Rose had encouraged him to embark on this fool's errand, the one who had made him believe that he could accomplish this daunting task, and it was a large blow to his morale to see her leave.

Then he snapped back to the turmoil at hand and remembered what was going on. He shoved aside Orpheous, Kasei, and a few others as he made his way to the innkeeper, who was now trembling on his knees before Blank. He stopped besides the fellow Nomad and nodded approvingly in his direction--This made up for the cruel prank he had played before. He squatted down, coming to eye level with Polka, and looked him coolly in the eye. "Now then." He said evenly, his voice reasonable, yet a tad intimidating. "Who stayed in that room a month ago?"

Yassen gave a low whistle of appreciation at the miraculous feat of great agility performed by the Sheikah Mage. Then he realized the purpose of said feat was not to dodge the dagger, but to reverse it's path. The assassin had no way of successfully moving his entire body out of the path of the blade, and instead threw his arm in it's path to intercept it. However, he was not greeted with the thud he was expecting to hear, but instead a loud clang. He opened his eyes to see the blade spinning off through the air, much in the same fashion as the Bard's boomerang, with an identical dagger mirroring it. A second later, a group of men in brown robes were standing at both ends of the alleyway, three to a side.

The one who had thrown the dagger looked at Yassen, who was rappelling down the wall and drawing another pair of daggers. He had short blonde hair and a firm, jagged face. He was lean and sinewy beneath the robes, and he was drawing a katana from beneath his robe as he spoke to the assassin he had just saved. "Yassen, I see you screwed it up again." He grunted with obvious distaste. "Details. Now." he added sharply

Yassen leered at the comment before replying, twirling a dagger in his hand as he refused to take his focus off of the Sheikah. "Somebody's looking around inside the inn, Lerick." He raised one of his daggers again and nodded towards Alpha. "Then this guy blew the Assassin's Whistle. I came to investigate, and he assaulted me." He snickered. "Then Squeaky over there nearly blew us up. No doubt we've attracted the attention of everyone in the area. Somebody should look in--" He continued, then stopped as he looked over and realized his savior had disappeared, along with one of the men on the inn side of the alley.

"Well then." He said, turning his attention back to the trapped adventureres. "We'll take care of you two first, then wipe out your snooping friends." On the last syllable, he hurled the dagger he was weighing in his hands, hurling it towards the Bard, who seemed less likely to perform a miraculous feat of great agility. However, it missed slightly, and thudded into the wall. He cursed--He had taken that explosion pretty hard. The robed men on both sides of the alley charged--Alpha and Victor were in trouble.

"I-I'm not sure who he was, honest!" The innkeeper babbled, looking into the mercenary's eyes in an obvious panic. Saber narrowed his eyes and Polka shrank back a bit more. "Okay! H-his name was...was...started with a Y...Let me think..." Saber grabbed him by the nightshirt and pulled him closer, breathing into his face as he glared madly. "We don't have time for this." He hissed urgently, and Polka whimpered. "F-fine! I'll try harder, I swear!" He furrowed his brow as he appeared to scan his memory banks. "Oh! I know, why don't we just look in the ledger?" He said suddenly, his eyes popping open as he sensed a chance to get out of the grip. Saber grunted and released him, and he scurried over to the desk, fumbled beneath it for a second, and produced a small leather-bound book. Undoing the latch quickly, he flipped through the pages, dust rising in the air--He really didn't get many customers. Stopping at a page, he stuck a finger down and squinted. "It's a bit faded, but--"

"HURRY UP!" Saber yelled; he heard shouting outside. He turned as somebody began to come down the staircase at the end of the corridor. "Go back to bed! Nothing to see!" He commanded fiercely, sending the frightened old woman back up to her room. He turned his attention back to the innkeeper, who was leaning rather close to the page and tracing the letters. "Read it!" He demanded once again, and Polka stuck his tongue out at the mercenary before turning back to the book. Saber shook his head and looked back at the group following him, checking to see if they were preparing for battle as the innkeeper finally read the ledger."It says Yas--unk!"

"Yasunk? What kind of name is--" He queried as he turned back to the innkeeper, stopping when he saw Polka slumped over the book, a peculiar dagger handle protruding from his chest. "Close one." Came a voice from the other side of the room, and as Saber spun towards it he saw two men in robes standing there, one of them with his arm out towards the innkeeper, his hand open. "Damned fool never gets the job done right."

He lowered his arm and stepped towards the mercenary, his jagged face scrutinizing and analyzing him. "So then. You must be the snoop." He brandished a sword as he approached him, his eyes darting around the room to each of the adventurers, to the dead innkeeper laying on the now bloody desk face down, and then to his sole companion. "Outnumbered." He muttered quietly to himself, then spoke over his shoulder to the other robed man. "Send another message for reinforcements. I think I can hold them off long enough." He turned his attention back to the assembly of warriors and added. "Also, bring our other friends here. Except the screwup; Leave him to fight that mage. He bungled the job; He'll reap the rewards." The other man saluted smartly before vanishing out the doorway to do his bidding.

OOC: Okay. Done. This will be a stat fight, however, I'm not going to have time to make the stats before going camping. So do your attacks and such, I'll take care of it when I get back.

Also, for the first round, it is Alpha+Victor vs Yassen+4 cronies, and everyone else vs. Lerick. Although the odds will even out in both fights soon enough.

When Polka had fallen, dead, on the ledger, Worru had jumped back, having for the first time in his young life, seen someone killed. Wasn't so bad, really. At least he wasn't in the same position as Polka. But, considering that he was in the same room as the guy who had done the dirty deed, his chances of dieing were a lot better than before.

Now, Worru wasn't a strategist, what with the fact that he was just a kid, that, and he wasn't one for thinking things through, he just unsheathed Swiftspirit, and charged at Lerick, the blade not aiming to kill, but to try and injure him. He wasn't a killer, even if this guy had just added another to his list.

Things happen so fast. Kasei was thinking, right before he sensed something wrong. He turned around and Polka was dead, and Worru was charging at the enemy. "Damn you, Worru, we need a plan!" Kasei said under his breath, and pulled out a bow and arrows. The mercinary aimed one for Lerick, and shot, hoping to buy Worru some time to get out. Running right at an enemy you know nothing about is close to suicide.

Alpha's eyes immediately dart back and forth as newcomers arrive from out of nowhere, blocking his retaliatory dagger-throwing with annoying precision. Well, at least he can take solace in the fact that the attack was going to be right on target before the interruption had occurred; it seems that even after years of not practicing such abrupt strikes, he still has the ability nailed down flat. 'I've still got the skills . . . always nice to know,' he thinks, staring down all four of this Yassen fellow's allies.

His ears perk up slightly as a few words are exchanged between Yassen and the one who had so rudely stopped his attack - though as to why, Alpha doesn't exactly know for sure. From the new guy, Lerick's, tone towards his ally, it seems the guy is a constant screw up. That isn't something that a group of assassins can afford to have; it's quite likely that Yassen will be killed for his failure at avoiding detection even if he does survive the upcoming fight. And there will be a fight, no doubt about that.

And yet, another, subtler notion hits him from the voice of Lerick. He blinks a few times, surprised - from the way he'd spoken, Alpha can tell, somehow, that Lerick is really just mad at Yassen for being caught and for making such a commotion out the open. That in and of itself is not unexpected, but the implication that comes from it is: Lerick is not mad for him being here. In fact, it sounds like Yassen was supposed to have been here. He might even have been tasked with patrolling the area, for some reason or another! 'Novices. These guys have GOT to be novices.'

Everyone, criminal or not, has heard the saying, 'The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime.' Detectives, sleuths, the Hylian Knights . . . anyone attempting to enforce the law and bring culprits to justice knows that this saying is actually quite accurate - and the same knowledge is held by any crook or outlaw. In ever story Alpha has ever heard, from the Criminal Underground or not, returning to the scene of the crime always ends up going bad for the criminal - they get caught oftentimes, become suspects at the very, very least. Never does one visit the scene of the crime without drawing some sort of attention, which is why most of the major criminal factions have made it de facto law that if you commit a crime, be it robbery, assassination, whatever, you stay away from the place for at least a year, the sole possible exception being that you have another mission in the area. And even then, it's seen as quite stupid to do so.

For Yassen to have been here on patrol or whatever is absolutely insane. Idiotic, even. Alpha rolls his eyes and slaps his forehead, shaking his head in disgust for several seconds before another realization pops into his head: just because these guys are sloppy assassins does not necessarily mean that they're sloppy fighters. Might as well take them seriously until he gets evidence for them being the latter as well as the former . . . and then his shoulders slump as Yassen's dagger flies off into the night, when the man had obviously been aiming for either him or Victor (the aim is so terribly off that even the Sheikah can't be sure which one he was wanting to hit).

Well . . . um . . . just because one's an insult to assassins everywhere doesn't mean that the other four are. Five targets . . . 'Might as well . . . economic in terms of magic to use that one . . .' he thinks with a sigh, standing upright once more, drawing his hood over his face once more, and forming a sphere of changing energy in his hands once more. He makes the movements seem almost uncaring as he tosses the sphere forward, unleashing his Elemental Explosion.

OOC: To Saber: Is late. Will post tomorrow. Don't kill. EDIT: OK, postin' time!

IC: Alpha seemed mad; surely he knew that Victor had only made an honest mistake? In the darkness of night it's hard to tell one man from another. After all, he's no Sheikah, darkness is not his element. Quite the contrary: as a Hylian, light rather than shadow is where he thrives. Besides, he was only trying to help his fellow man, as per usual. He just got mixed up, is all. And who is Alpha to say-

Victor's train of thought was interrupted as his Sheikah companion made some kind of twirly move, and it wasn't until he heard the clink of two metal daggers that he realized Alpha wasn't dancing: the man the Bard had saved was now attacking them both.

And it seemed he had friends, for a group of men was now backing up their attacker. As Alpha's ears perked when the men began to speak, so did Victor's- though his were Hylian and, therefore, could hear more.

"Yassen? Screwed up? People in the Inn?" he thought as he glanced at the building beside them. Something was definitely up. "Assassin's Whistle... Alpha? Why would he do that? How would he kno- Squeaky?! Hey!"

Victor wanted to retort, but with the men still discussing things he felt the best course of action would be reason. So he spoke:

"Hey, hey, guys. We're all grown men here, eh? Why fight? Let's us just walk away slowly and pretend this never ha-"

It was then that the dagger whistled by his ear, and he froze with an "Eep!" After a few more frozen seconds he glanced around the alley, frantically looking for a way out as he tried some more persuasion.

"OK, OK, well... I saved your guy! Hows about letting us off the hook for that, yeah?"

But as the group charged Alpha let fly a spell, and he knew bargaining would no longer be of any use. He threw a dismayed look at the Sheikah and mutted quite audibly, "Oh, that's a big help. Make them angrier, why don't you?" Sighing heavily, the Bard brought out his bow and cocked an arrow, aiming at Yassen and firing away.

No use trying to avoid a fight now, he thought as the arrow flew towards the assassins...

(((OOC: Wow Alpha, thanks for that sexy demonstration of Wraith skills. PHEER!!!!)))

~Pyre had been watching the innkeeper and Saber closely. He sort of understood what was happening, and sort of didn't. For one, how was the stupid thread important. He knew the use of finding out who was in the inn, but how did it connect? How could they know anything for sure anyways? The hylian shook off his doubts, assuming Saber knew what he was doing, and continued to watch, slightly impatiently.

Then all of that didn't matter anymore, and everything shifted to pure instinct. His blades were drawn before the dagger that had killed the innkeep even stopped quivering. This was the worst possible scenario. It seemed whatever baddies they were searching for clues for had decided to show up. It made the search easier, but it also made the search a whole hell of a lot harder.

Soon, Pyre's eyes were locked on the newcomer, in brown robes. It seemed like the assasin had chosen to show himself immediately after the kill. That was good. He wouldn't be able to catch any of them by surprise that way. After a short mental assessment of the situation, which included the points above, he began his next move. Go for the kill, fast and before defenses could be mounted. Before stats could even be posted (a bit of OOC IC if you know what I mean...)

Despite his lightening fast mental take of the situation, his own reflexes were no faster than any other ranger's, or in this case, assasin's. As fast as his own trained dexterity would allow him, he pumped his left arm, sending a dagger whirling through the air at the unwelcomed interruption. In the next instant, he pumped it again, sending another dagger flying out of a concealed sheath in the cuff of his red shirt. Now that the projectiles were airbourne, there was nothing he could do, but hope that his offensive suceeded. [Duel Wield]~

(((OOC: The official beginning of my return to HA2. The actually thing will take place after I've gotten use to going back to school (In three days for me  ) )))

IC: Lerick watched the young Gerudo/Sheikah hybrid's reaction with a smirk; He obviously hadn't seen much battle, which made sense. He was a kid, after all. However, despite the age, he had been trained not to show restraint towards anyone. And he was a man of principles. So when the child's blade came his way, it was with a smirk that he reacted.

WORRU(14(roll)+6(AGI)=20) vs. (20(DEF)+2(AGI)=22)LERICK

His katana swung up, a silver blur intercepting another silver blur or less blurriness, and flicked it harmlessly to the side, then placed a hand on the child's back and pushed him out of the way, turning just in time to see Kasei fire an arrow straight at him.

KASEI(+7(AGI)+9(Roll)=20) vs. (20(DEF)+2(AGI)=22)LERICK

He threw his head backwards, eyeing the young swordsmen he had just pushed aside as the projectile whistled past, sighing as it passed just over the head of the child. Things would have been so much easier that way. As he snapped back up, he saw a firey-haired Hylian reaching for throwing blades--This one looked like he was ready to kill. Taking a step back to ready himself, he locked his eyes on each projectile in turn, preparing to evade them in whatever way possible.

PABRU(5(AGI)+14(Roll)=19) vs. (20(DEF)+2(AGI)=22)LERICK

Twisting to the side, Lerick felt the dagger graze by, luckily avoiding the keen blade by a hair as he threw himself back into the same place to dodge the next, which missed by an even smaller margin on the opposite side. That guy can be trouble. He thought as he regained his footing again, watchful for another attack.

Saber had rushed over to Polka during the struggle, and was now trying to read the name that had been so unfortunately protected. "Please...Goddesses, I beg you, make it legible..." he mumbled tearfully as he tried to read the symbols beneath the staining blood. However, the fact that reading wasn't one of his skills and the blood staining the page beyond legibility rejected the mercenary's attempt. He slammed his fist down on the table as a tear fell onto the page, making it even wetter. His gaze rose to eye the killer, who answered him with a mocking grin. "Crying, are we? Don't worry, you won't be sad for long." He added with a meaningful slur. His grin evolved to a chuckle as the mercenary hopped over the counter and charged Lerick, drawing his saber and slashing in one blow, his yell fueling the strike as Lerick brought his katana up to parry.

SABER(3(AGI)+16(roll)=19) vs. (20(DEF)+2(AGI)=22)LERICK

The blade arced through the air heavily, the skillful weaving typical to the mercenary gone in his fury. The katana barely held the blade back, and Lerick caught himself looking into the mercenary's tearful eyes, burning with vengeance. Need to take care of him now! He decided, pushing the blade backwards and leaning towards Saber, whirling to gain momentum for a strike that he hoped would remove the blade from the hands of his adversary. (Disarm Lvl 2)

LERICK(3(Level 2)+2(Race)+17(Roll)=22)

In his rage, Saber was caught off guard by the sudden counter, and his blade spiraled through the room, towards his allies as the katana ripped through his arm, dealing 11 DMG and making him stagger backwards, slamming into the counter. Lerick looked around the room, ready for more attackers, then stole a quick glance out the window. Reinforcements were already on the way; These fools were deep in it now.

_____________________

Yassen's eyes opened wide as he was rudely reminded that he was dealing with a powerful mage. The explosion of energy became a raging wall of flame that raced wildly throughout the entire alley, scalding all five assassins who didn't even stand a chance, nailing each of them for 18 DMG each. Yassen felt his face scream yet again, although this time he had crossed his arms before his face for protection, the flames licking and charring the fabric as he heard his companions scream in pain inside the same magical Hell. He lowered his arms only to see the Squeaky man's arrow hurtling towards his chest and threw himself aside.

VICTOR(3(AGI)+9(Roll)=12) vs. (14(DEF)+5(AGI)=19)YASSEN

He landed on the ground and pushed himself up immediately as the arrowhead clinked off the brickwork, and went on the offensive as he rose, making sure he wasn't attacked by surprise again. He dashed forward at the Mage, considering him the major threat, twirling two more daggers that had appeared from his sleeves and leaping into the air above the duo and throwing the two projectiles straight down at the Sheikah.

YASSEN(5(AGI)+14(Roll)=19) vs. (12(DEF)+7(AGI)=19)ALPHA

As the two daggers penetrated the Mage's defenses for 14 DMG, Yassen planted both feet on the wall and launched off it backwards, landing in front of them with a smirk on his face as his four Sheikah companions launched their attacks simultaneously, three at Victor and one braving his chances with the dagger-returning Alpha.

The triple blades pelted into Victor's completely unarmoured (OOC: Really KP, what's up with that, get some armor or you won't make it to the end of this event :( ) body, dealing a hefty 21 DMG to the Bard in a not-so-comical fashion.

RECON(8(AGI)+10(Roll)=18 ) vs. (12(DEF)+7(AGI)=19)ALPHA

The remaining dagger nearly hits home, probably because the Sheikah is stunned from the previous assault, but Alpha pulls himself together just in time to evade it slightly, and the assassins are circling their victims in an organized manner--Obviously this has been practiced--Drawing more projectiles to finish the job when Lerick's assistant reentered the alleyway. "Everybody in! Lerick needs assistance!" He requested, with the rest of the assassin's nodding curtly and leaving the alleyway just as suddenly as they had entered. As Yassen left, an outstretched arm held him back. "Except you. You stay to reap your rewards." The man finished with a sinister grin, Yassen's shocked face seeming to thrill him. "See if you can finish the job right this time." He called the parting shot as he rushed into the Inn with his fellow assassins to aid Lerick.

Yassen turned to face Alpha and Victor, his confidence suddenly deserting him as he drew another two daggers with shaking hands.

Lerick eyed the reinforcements and chuckled slightly. They were battered and burnt a bit, but were reinforcements nonetheless. He eyed the group and mulled over the situation again. Damn that Yassen. He grated his teeth as the men took position in the room. We could have avoided this whole thing if he had used the Scope instead of getting in the perimeter. As his thoughts drifted to the Scope in question, he felt the familiar cold metal against his thigh. Sure, they can be hard to adjust, and it is quicker to check, but still...We have protocol for a reason. He furrowed his brow as his hate for Yassen grew even more. Then he exposed himself! People like him shouldn't be allowed to live in the gang. He's a danger to us all.He glanced to the side and recieved the nod of confirmation from his assistant. The reinforcements had been called. Retrieval would be here any minute. Oh well. This is messy, but we should pull out of it all right. We'll just have to do one hell of a cleanup job. When we get back, I'm reporting Yassen's stupidity to the Boss. Hopefully this time he'll do something. He hefted his katana as the group of adventurers started to move and launch their next attacks, clearing his mind of the last lingering thought; His daddy's protection can only take him so far.

~Pyre cursed to himself as all of the attacks narrowly missed their target. This guy was no pushover. That didn't daunt him in the least however. Pulling out another dagger, he began another attack. He didn't care about reinforcements or anything, his entire self was concentrated on Lerick.

He ran forward, but pushed his momentum to the maximum, causing himself to tumble into a forward roll. From the ground, he sprung himself forward, flying catlike towards his target, scimitar flashing. At the same time, he pumped his arm once again, sending another dagger lancing through the air to augment the other strike. [Duel Wield]

Even as he went for the kill all his senses were prepared to counter any strike the assasin might launch. He also knew that if everyone in the party attacked at once, he might accidently get hit from behind, and that was the last thing he wanted. They needed to end this fast, not make stupid mistakes.~

OOC: Saber, you have earned the right to a stabbity death. Please redeem this within the next twenty-four hours.

IC: Worru grunted when he had hit the ground, getting up on his hands and knees as he shook his head, trying to think clearly. Alright, that was a stupid move. I have learned this. Now, to repeat it! he thought, picking up his sword again, as well as his dagger. He flipped so that he was facing the human mercenary again, and dashed at him, ready to strike. [[Dual Weild]]

Utterly annoyed that his roughhousing had yet to yield truly important information, Blank cursed under his breath and turned to the cause if the latest commotion. All he wanted was to find out every last bit of evidence required by Saber, and at the moment it seemed that “Who stayed in that room” was of utmost importance. Although, he wasn't so sure that the gang members would have left their true names, but likely aliases. After all, only an idiot would leave such a clear paper trail, and idiots were normally incapable of such clever schemes. Yes, Blank knew quite a lot about idiocy.

He had completely ignored any and every word that Lerick had spoken, and was instead focusing his attention now on the dead body of Polka, looking on in shock at the corpse of the man he had been strict with only moments before. A shudder escaped his mouth after crawling up his spine, chilling him to about the temperature of the outer alley. He faltered momentarily, once again remembering how easily life could be torn from its tree and smashed to splinters. His jaw locked tensely as he tried to mumble a shocked comment on the latest murder, and he was unable to focus on this spectacle any longer.

Lest he be considered vulnerable, the nomad turned on his heels and observed the conflict with the gang member Lerick. As Worru, Kasei, Pyralin and Sabertache all failed to inflict any damage whatsoever, Blank could not help but shake his head sorrowfully. Here were three of Hyrule's best, plus Worru (who was likely just as powerful), all failing to get a hit in. It was then that the Hylian realized how dangerous this opponent was - it was near impossible for most to hit him.

Gritting his teeth, Blank decided that he had best follow suit and jump into the fray. Staring Lerick in the eyes, he reached up to the twin hilts slowly and extracted the wooden swords, spinning them around in his hand a bit to warm up his swordplay. Narrowing his eyes, he made the split-second decision on where to aim his attack. Chest and throat... nah, stomach, he strategized in his head, nodding in silent understanding of his own intentions. He let out a low cough and stretched his ankles before taking off into a quick charge. Careful to jump out of Pyre's way as he leaped, Blank stabbed vigorously with both swords at Lerick's midriff, half intending to disembowel the assassin, but mainly wanting to make a clean cut. Less mess that way. But still a gruesome red paint job for this floor, he thought woefully as he stabbed away.

Crap Kasei thought, then drew another arrow and took better aim. The rebel flame was no stupid enough to charge at his opponent, like Worru, so he decided for less damaging tactics. Aiming for his enemies left arm, Kasei fired, hoping to disable his opponent so that the group may interrogate him.

OOC: I just realised, Kasei has no buiseness here!
