The bomb revealing the triforce upside down was really strange, but provided some kind of a moral boost to Kagari. He searched the room for anything at all. [Awareness check] He looked at the wall and walked over by Aria and touched the triforce chiseled into the wall. He rubbed his hand on each part saying them out loud. "Power, courage, wisdom..."

As Aria runs her hand over the coarse stone block that was revealed by her own handiwork, she is unable to notice anything special about the overhanging curiosity. Her analysis is, however, successful in finding crevices on all four edges of the block that appear to expand about an inch into the south wall. The sound of rock scratching against rock can be heard ever so slightly as her palm meets the block, as well.
Darilan is not having much luck finding objects suitable for use as torches. The bomb blast seems to have completely obliterated the trap door, and all that remains of the cheap trick are charred, useless chunks of debris.
The scribe is successful, however, in interpreting the markings that can be found on both Armos statues. Darilan most certainly made a wise decision in learning the infernal language of the hordes in his adventures in Hyrule, as his background in the language makes translating the runes a breeze. [11+10+3 vs 5 Pass]
The translation of the writing the adventurers have found is - "Broken Armos in Safe mode. Switch behind door."
Apparently, this information is now useless to the adventurers' cause, as Aria has already discovered that there is indeed a switch behind the maliciously placed trap door. As Maverick pushes the switch into the wall, a sudden groaning can be heard from the dormant Armos statues. A sort of red glow is coming from the apparently broken statues, but this does not stop them from noticing signs of intrusion. And as all of Ganon's minions are said to do, these Armos are quick to react violently to such an intrusion. With all of the noise and commotion of a battle having begun, Kagari is unable to notice anything interesting... save for these new obstacles.

Kagari noticed a red glow in the corner of his eyes. The armos... crap, he thought. He throw his body into a spin and pulled his weapon of choose out. His bow and arrows. He grabbed his bow from his back and an arrow from his quiver made from animal fur. Like a hunter after prey, he concentrated. Aiming the arrow at the armos that were broken. He pulled the string back and released. The arrow stung the still air as it through from the bow and at the armos.

Just after he finished reading the engravings on the statue, they came to life. He should have translated it before the others were tempted to hit the switch. The others were probably curious as to what the message was, so he figured he better tell them. "It is irrelevant now, but the writing said that switch over there would activate the statues. As you can see, it worked." The thought that fighting these things was inevitable had lingered in the back of his mind since they first set foot in this room. Perhaps defeating these Armos Knights was what they needed to do to remove the bars from the door. He knew such doors existed, ones that wouldn't open unless the monsters guarding it were defeated. But how much sense would that make?
It didn't matter, he just knew they had to get this over with and avoid any serious injuries. He weighed his options: attacking with his staff was out of the question; he might be able to hit one with a magical attack. His influence would be more profound if he strengthened the others, which he did by instilling confidence in them, reciting a poem ensuring the adventurers of their own might an the enemies' weakness. 'Crap!' Alpha thought as he leapt away from the Armos, the creatures abruptly coming to life. Darilan was muttering something about the writing; apparently it would have given them the directions to activating the statues sooner. Well, that hardly mattered now; they were awake, and they were dangerous.
And they are glowing, which Alpha assumed meant something very, very bad. He wasn't about to let whatever it was occur if he could stop it, so he took out his staff and spun it around in his hands before slamming its pointed end into the ground. No . . . it wasn't time to attack - not yet. He knew something of Armos; their defense was monstrous, and the two newer adventurers were likely unaware of how difficult it would be to deal damage to the beasts. He grimaced; if only they had waited a few seconds rather than rushing in blindly! Well, he could hope that they got lucky . . .
. . . but Alpha was not one to depend on luck when skill could take its place. Spreading out his spirit, the Sheikah quickly sent out a burst of power to each of the adventurers present, magically transferring his will and desires into strength that might help them. They needed to break past that defense, and the best way he could figure to do that was to speed the adventurers up to the point that their quickened strikes would be too fast for the defenses to guard against. "If I might make a suggestion..."
Through the doorway behind the party stood a familiar figure. Blade still sheathed, Sabertache looked at the armos; he remembered fighting these things before. Hitting them had proven nearly impossible.
"Why not just leave the room? You'll have a rough time damaging them physically, and it seems a waste to use up magical resources on them."
The mercenary's eyes glanced back and forth between the Armos. Both were glowing, and that fact kept eating at him, making him uneasy. Yet another reason to leave the room.
"Sorry for the delay, by the way."
Waiting for the group's response, he kept light on his toes, wary of the living statues. [Dodge Check]

Whats this? Animate objects....and fighting? Hyrule is a mysterious land.. Striding out of the shadows, his eyes flit around the room, searching for a latch or other way to remove the bars. [Awareness Check]
"Having trouble? I second his words, some confrontations are better solved by guile and intelligence, rather than brute force."
However, this did not prevent him from loosening his blade. Tilting his head downwards, Ryou stands upon the balls of his feet, ready to move at a moments notice.

Well, looks like we got company. Taint drew his sword, eager to make up for his blunder with some good old fashion swordplay. "Lilly," the Zora simply stated. The fairy knew what he meant, and flew high into the air and out of danger. He'd explained to her that her safety was of his utmost concern, and that he wouldn't be able to focus if he had to look after her. She had acknowledged this, and promised him that she would stay safe while he was working.
The Zora's mind was now cleared, and focused only on the animated statues. "Time to get to work people." He stated, darting in towards the statue furthest to the right. With quick skip, and a hop off of the bounce, he slashed with all of his Zoran might in a diagonal arc, praying that his sword would cut through the stone. If it didn't, he'd be wide open for a retaliatory strike of the statue's very own.

Despite the colossal advantage the Armos Knights have over the adventurers in terms of defense, Kagari's arrow is able to penetrate the rocky, enchanted foe. A horrid groan rumbles from inside the demented abomination as the Sheikah's precise marksmanship is demonstrated for the other adventurers. (Armos Knight 1 - 9 HP).
Abel, however, is not as successful as the archer before him. His attempt at dual wield throws him off balance at just the wrong time, and his swords swing right past the stone monster. The Armos, emotionally blind to the fact that it has escaped harm, simply retaliates by throwing all of its body weight in the grunt's direction. Fortunately for Abel, the newly-animate Armos misses altogether and continues its frenzied rampage.
Darilan's epic masterpiece of a poem seems to have done the trick. If the enemies here had any sort of emotion, they would surely be cowering as a result. The entire party of adventurers beams with confidence and morale having heard the fantastic piece of poetry. It's certainly a great way to boost the overall self esteem of the party. (Darilan -5 SPL; Party +3 All Stats)
The adventurers present on this excursion should consider themselves fortunate to have a strong-willed leader like Alpha along at times like these. The Sheikah is easily able to boost morale even further with his display of leadership. The collective chances of victory continue to increase for the freedom fighters of Hyrule. (Party +3 AGI)
Sabertache is hardly able to speak his piece before feeling the onslaught of the broken Armos Knights. As he finishes his suggestion, one of the statues charges the mercenary. Fortunately, Saber has chosen to keep his guard up, and with the help of the party's new-found drive, he is able to resist the attack altogether. He doesn't even need to attempt to dodge, as the Armos is unable to hit anyway.
Ryou has good reason to avoid fighting a seemingly futile battle, choosing instead to remain focused on the unopening southeast door. While this may seem difficult to do in the middle of a dangerous brawl such as this, he is successful in avoiding any damage by the frenzied Armos that comes quite close to him while he searches. Unfortunately, there is nothing new to be found here. (3+4+2 vs 10 Fail)
The commanding officer of this military entourage, General Richard Valens, is taken by surprise when he spots the two newcomers. He is not ready to complain, however, given the circumstances that the party now faces. He had expected something like this would happen. As he is distracted by Saber and Ryou, an Armos manages to slip past his defenses. He retaliates, exacting vengeance for the cheap shot. (Valens -6 HP; Armos Knight 2 -14 HP)
Taint is as unlucky as ever, and it seems there is just no winning in this room for the young Zora. His attack, focused as it may have been, is met with utter failure. His sword strikes the hard armor of the enchanted statue and ricochets with a painful vibration, having been unable to dent the stone build. In this quick moment, the Armos makes an attempt at hitting back, but is unsuccessful as well. These adventurers were just too darned fast.
The Armos statues begin to grow a brighter shade of red.

Eberron stood unsure of what to do, watching as his allies fought or stood still. He wasn't any good at dodging, he was far too big... And if they were going to hit him, he might as well try and fight back he supposed. But he still wasn't sure... The ideas rolled round in his mind as he attempted to work out exactly what to do. The newcomer who had so boldly declared that they simply avoid battle seemed to know a thing or two about these scary statues... he might have experience when it came to animate glowing statues.
"Excuse me, umm, sir mr sir?"
Eberron clumsly ducked and weaved his way in a ridiculously complicated manner, as if trying to avoid a hundred blades being thrown at him rather then two clumsy statues.
"You say avoiding? Well I'll try that but... why? I don't understand. What happens to them if we avoid them? And... why are they glowing?
After finishing Eberron took another look at the statues. Shivering he curled into a ball and rolled around the room to find a way of avoiding them. These things were about as creepy as they came. He really HATED animate statues...

Alpha was about ready to slap Saber . . . and Ryou too. Since when had adventurers been such pacifists?! "If you've an intelligent manner to best a pair of Armos, then please tell me!" he called out, responding to Ryou's words but looking at Saber as well; he didn't want the 'great' Tantari Mercenary to feel left off the hook.
Eberron's hesitation made him want to slap the Goron too - but that would probably hurt the Sheikah more than it would his target. He simply glanced Eberron's way, replying as quickly as he could. "It will do no good! Armos statues explode, and I don't want to see the kind of eruption that comes from a broken one. Our best chance is to try and short-circuit the system; break them apart too much and they might not have anything left with which to cause an explosion."
He'd wasted too much time already addressing these foolish queries, wishing desperately that someone like Tayro or Dogura was along for this - they knew how to get things done, without trying to second guess a system that they had no reason to doubt in the first place.
His hand shot up, pointing at Eberron. "You're with me, got it?!" he ordered, taking a commanding position amongst the group. By the goddesses . . . he hated trying to be some sort of leader, but if no one else was going to stand up against such foolishness then by the Dark World, he had no choice! "We're after the one that got hit with the arrow - attack it now!" he bellowed, sending his words out through the chamber. "Everyone else, concentrate on the second Armos, and we can end this quickly!" He immediately suited actions to words, charging the first Armos with his staff in hand. With that Epic Poem, he and the Goron could take out this one all by themselves, leaving the second one for the others to finish - and if by chance they missed killing the creatures this round, then hopefully there would be a little bit of time left before these malfunctioning beasts erupted on their own.

A smile crept onto Maverick's face as his idea came to fruition. He pushed the misfit block into position and turned around to show the others that the puzzle had been solved, hoping to find the doors unbarred and the party ready to move on before those dormant guards could be given power. He would be sorely surprised.
The Calatian-born scholar cocked an eyebrow as he noticed that somehow, the stationary soldiers were no longer quite so stationary. He almost laughed; it was sort of amusing to know that this was his fault, but he decided to look at it in a more optimistic light. Judging by all the failure searches of this room (and there seemed to have been quite a few of those), there was no natural mechanism controlling the bars on the southwest door. He concluded that the Armos Knights would have needed to be disposed of sooner than later.
Hearing Saber's comment, he wondered about how one might leave the room without leaving this destination altogether. There was no longer a southwest door, for it had been rooted out and destroyed like the rough load of aged wood it was. The southeast door was far from open, at least by his current theory on how the group might go about opening it. And Maverick was certainly not going to flee from a duo of broken statues, livid as they were.
He stood still and nodded as Alpha barked out orders at the terrified Goron who appeared to be doing more evading than attacking. Maverick guessed that it was in the Goron's friendly nature to be so off put by something so fantastically unreal as an enchanted stone figure. The mage agreed with his fellow that focusing on one Armos at a time was the best course of action, and he showed off his staff as though he were the kind of person who knew how to use one when needed. He certainly was that sort of person.
Now, he was spurred on by the wondrous words of the poet scribe and the gallant yet strict leadership qualities of the man he sometimes loosely referred to as a subordinate. Maverick darted at the second Armos, which the party had been asked slightly-to-moderately politely to attack. When he was close enough to his target, he jabbed the thick head of his staff towards the animate statue's glowing red armor with all the might he could muster.

We're after the one that got hit with the arrow - attack it now!"
Eberron stopped for a moment and glanced across at the suddenly yelling black mage. Well... If he said so. Explosions certainly didn't sound good. Turning to look at the target that had already been pierced with an arrow, Eberron cracked his knuckles together and set to doing what it was he did best. Switching to a more aggressive stance, Eberron set his eyes on the target in front of him. He didn't want to miss this. If what the Mage said was true, then failing to get a good hit in could cause an explosion... Explosions were really not what he wanted. He imagined they hurt. He had seen enough bombs thrown at his enemies to understand that. Charging forward like a rampaging bull, Eberron swung his fists one after the other in a spinning motion towards the animate stone statue, aiming to smash into whatever could count as a weak point in it's rock solid structure. Closing his eyes as he moved his fists back round for one more strike, Eberron quietly whispered the name of the ancient Goron hero, hoping to gain some strength from the long dead warrior.

The vibrations ran down Taint's sword, and made him fall over backwards, which actually proved to be the best maneuver given that the armos would have hit him had he not taken the tumble. The Zora knew that these things had to have a vulnerable spot. Suddenly, the cloaked man's voice rang out, pleading that everyone deal with the second statue. Taint didn't have much to lose. Jogging over to the second statue, Taint thrust his rusty old sword directly towards the center of the animated statue, hoping that he might strike a weak point.
