"Damnit!" Dogura cries. "Two steppes forward, three steppes back!" He mutters, angrily. The Kroperg was on the brink of death, and he knew the beast wouldnt last much longer. Mustering the godesses once more, (You just gotta hate us alpha ) He heals Kasei. After siphoning all of the magic within the godesses power he decideded to use the remaining strength in his right arm to toss the dagger as hard as he possibly could, aiming straight for the beasts heart.

OOC: Is that allowed? If not then resort to this Alpha.

Mustering all of his courage, dashes straight through the flames using a [dodge check] to extinguish any damage that may be caused by the roaring flames. He drives his dagger like he never has before, using the rest of his strength hoping to finish the beast off for good. Certain words rang in his mind.

OOC: I think there was something about giving rupees to the GM before a battle. Eh, I don't know. I'll go check that at Rauru. And Nogare usually makes it sound like his character is so close to death when he has the most HP out of everyone in the group. Although, he certainly is close to death this time.

IC:
Rose slumps against a wall. Damn it all, she thought. There isn't a way we can touch it. Unless...

Rose struggles to her feet. She sees Dogura throw his dagger, but she thrusts her arm forward again, casting another Elemental Burst. As before, she prays to the goddesses it isn't fire and that the attack makes it.

OOC: I'm going to assume sarcasm...primarily because, as you'll all soon see, what he did was impossible.

IC:
As both Nogare and Dogura try to fight their way into the raging inferno that surrounds the Kroperg, they find that the swirling vortex is actually using the air to force them away. No matter how quickly they run or how hard they try, they are unable to enter the column of death.

"You'll never win like that."

Dropping her Shadowmeld, the mysterious woman in blue appears before the group. She appears unaffected by the heat surrounding them, and almost seems to be pulling her cloak tighter around her. "I knew, when I heard the commotion, that you had finally arrived in this area." She turns to face the fire. "The rest of the base believes this to be another of the Kroperg's tantrums, and is avoiding this place for now. But...I had hoped...I had hoped that you would not need to face this thing."

Returning her gaze to those still standing, a single gloved hand appears from beneath the folds of her clothing, holding a small bottle of liquid. "Right now the beast is using its natural defense mechanism to protect itself. You'll need to find some way to destroy it even with the barrier up. In the meantime, I will use this potion to help your allies recover. Hurry!" Without another word, she rushes over to where Shada lies, and pours a bit of the potion into her mouth. With a cough, Shada moves away from critical damage and into a deep sleep. The woman moves on to the others, administering the potion to the others, who display similar results.

OOC: Yes, you're still unconscious. Kasei, Dogura, Nogare, Blank, Rose, and Tayro have to figure this one out on their own.

IC:
Dogura's Innate Check succeeds (11+5[Roll+INT]), restoring Kasei's life back by a bit.

Rose's Elemental Burst comes out as Water - the perfect element for such an occasion! Or so you would think. The winds caused by the spinning vortex blows the water away, and it all seeps into the cracks in the floor.

Kasei: 22 HP
Rose: 7 HP, 4 SPL

OOC Alpha: Technically arrows and seeds for slingshots are supposed to be bought before an event, and they cost one rupee each(This is so the character has to predict how many arrows they think they'll need, and unused arrows are sold back at the end for full price). The other way that we'll probably have to do it is like HNS said, and pay afterward with an estimated amount of arrows shot, but we need to try and remember this for future events.

OOC: Hmmm...darn it, that's one thing that never came up in the planning sessions. I forgot about that little part of the rules. Yeah, we definitely need to make that a bit more widely enforced. I guess we can do what HNS is suggesting and take care of that after this is all said and done.

"You're the woman from before!" Dogura shouted, a bit shocked. "Just who are you? And also, allow any of us hylians to help you aid the comrades. [favor of the godesses/rose]

OOC: What would we do without this techniqe? I actually feel sota cheep using it this much, but hey, its survival. Also, I agree that it should be tougher to use the favor of the godesses, we almost always succeed.

IC: Dogura pointed to Rose, helping her out of her misery with a Favor of the Godesses spell. Dogura thought hard. Perhaps the water in the ceiling would help them out once again. "Kasei! I helped you out, now im going to need you to help me out. Hit the ceiling with one last bomb! Perhaps the Kroperg's flames will be extinguished with a final waterfall of its demise."

OOC: This has been great Alpha! Im really impressed! I too agree that you should write for Nintendo.

OOC: It's a good thing I know how many arrows I used.

IC:
Rose falls to her knees. Damn it all, she thinks again. Goddesses, damn it all. Why the hell couldn't they teach us to go against something like this in the academy?

She barely takes notice of the woman wondering around the room. She just knelt there in thought. There had to be some way to get past the wall of fire. She begin to look hard at it, taking it and everything around it in. [Awareness check]

OOC: Hmm, haven't used one of those in a while.

OOC: Well, one of the reasons I made the Kroperg so tough was because I expected you guys to be healing each other a bunch. So don't feel too bad.

...yet you Hylians still let eleven members of the team fall...and you actually helped Kasei, not once but twice! I must say, I've been quite shocked some of the actions you guys have performed.

IC:
The woman turns back to Dogura. "My name is unimportant. In fact, it's better that you don't know who I am, so please don't ask again," she says in a kind, yet serious, voice.

Dogura's Innate Check fails (2+5[Roll+INT] vs. 15), and Rose stays at the same amount of HP as before: 7.

Rose's Awareness Check similarly fails (6+3[Roll+INT]), as the fire is almost painfully bright. It hurts one's vision just looking at it.

Dogura's hair had fallen out of its pony tail and was all over his face. He was a bloody mess, and looked pissed. "We need to do something now!" He shouted, glancing at his fallen friends. Dogura could feel the creature inside of him beginning to twitch, and fidget. He knew it would be a matter of time before he lost controll over himself. If that happened... He shook the thought. Instead he put his most powerful weapon. His mind. He tried to peer into the Kropergs mind to see if it were just a stupid monster, or a clever animal. [Inate Check]

It wasnt long before Dogura began to wonder if he would make it out of the place alive. Never had he fought a tougher battle. It was more of a war. A war between beast and man. It wasnt going to get any easier to defeat Kroperg, unless they could drench the flames. His mind raced furiously.

OOC: I have a life scroll... Can I use it? Im not a mage. But is it accesible?

OOC: No, Life can only be used by Scholars. All you can do is FotG.

IC:
Dogura's Innate Check fails (2+5[Roll+INT]). He is unable to do anything to see into the mind of the pig.

OOC: Okay, well then call me a collecter. (screw the scroll im selling it)

IC: It seemed that even his mind could not penitrate the barier of fire. It was an unstoppable force, however, he had suspicions of the woman in the room. He decided she was the next best source of information. [inate] Searching franticly for ANY information that could possibly help them in the battle, he traced over her mind.

OOC: Am i the only one on? I feel greedy posting this much

OOC: Hey, if they aren't on, that's their problem...lol.

IC:
Dogura's attempt is indeed valiant, but futile (3+5[Roll+INT]). It seems that the woman's mind is mentally shielded, with no gaps for the Hylian's powers to squeeze through. It's like trying to pass through a solid mountain.

OOC: Sorry aboot the delay...

Do you think having taking in all of that is sarcasim. Of course Nogare's dead! ... But come to think of it, that's a bit more of a stupid thing to do than honourable. Should I edit that? But Nogare is dead.

OOC: No, I already said that he didn't die. It was impossible for him to get anywhere near the twister.
