Those who have followed Koura, the banished Gerudo, soon find themselves on the fringes of Parapa Village. It is still somewhat dark; you all have made excellent time. Sunrise should come in about an hour, so you will have that long in which to move around with the aid of darkness.

Koura comes to a stop in front, then turns back to you. "If we are found out, it is a certainty that you will all be in grave trouble. Few Gerudo are civilized like in the land you come from; they will kill you if you are found with an exiled being like myself. Are you sure you wish to do this?"

Are you?

OOC: Okay, this is where all the action of Part IV will be happening - yes, this is merely a continuation of Part IV. If you choose this path, post here.

I just want you all to know this - do not expect this to be nearly as good as the Event. I spent months working on that thing...this one was planned out in a couple of hours. I'm still not entirely finished in the planning department, really...so don't get your hopes up too high.

Rose nods. "I said I would help, and I will," she says. "Lead the way."

OOC: *grumble, grumble* Alf, you weren't supposed to come back before me. Eh, this isn't so bad, actually. Not to much to catch up on.

Dogura stops think for a moment. "This is where i spend my summers at the beach. If i were to be forever banished, I would have to sell my property here, and move on." Dogura felt a desire to back out, but shook it off. "I dont need a summer home here.. Ill help Alpha in any way I possibly can. Thats what friends do for one another." Dogura took a glance at his old summer home, and walked inside.

A couple minutes passed before he returned with some pictures, and he stuffed them in his pack. He was now wearing black and red armor. "It was my father's." He said proudly, as it gleamed in the dim moonlight. "My sword was recently sharpened by a smith in the highlands, and my armor was also polished as of yesterday. "Im ready to roll!" The samurai said enthusiasticly, as he waited for orders.

OOC: What did you meen by path? Oh well, im ready. Im loving this Alpha, we can always count on you for a good time! :D

Raven decided to go with Koura to help get the medicine for Calla. Staying with her would have caused too many painful memories to surface and by doing this he felt he could make up for his past failures.

A young girl, lies seriously ill in bed. No more than 9 years old. She keeps shivering and her face is ashen. It's obvious to even the least medicaly trained that she needs help and soon.

'She needs medicine that we don't have.' Her mother told him. He did not look up from her bedside. 'I've heard that it can be found in Courtyard at Hyrule castle but...' He got up and walked out of the room. He knew what he needed to do. '...by the time you get back it might already be too late.'

He took a horse from the stable and rode it hard to Hyrule Castle. It was a least a two day journey to castle and he didn't have a moment to spare. He only reason he stopped was due to the horse almost collasping after being driven to run so fast for so long. He cursed the beast and continued to trek on foot pulling the reluctant animal behind him.

He raced around the courtyard until he found the apothercary and raced in. He explained the girls symptoms and owner nodded his head. 'Got just want you want right here.' He turned round and grabbed a small vial of a shelf. He was releived that they had the medicine that she needed. That feeling soon disappeared. 'That will be 300 Rupees.' In his haste to get here he had only take what he had on him a the time. Although, even, if he had asked around for the rupees it was highly unlikely that anyone would give him the amount needed. He explained that he only had 104 rupees and that the girl was very ill, but it didn't sway the owner. He had no doubt heard it all before. 'You pay, you get the medicine. Until then get out of my shop.' The owner grabbed him and threw out into the street. As he walked back into the shop he murmered something barely audiable but he heard it: 'Stupid kid.' The 14 year old would remember that and would show him the error of his ways.

Knowing that he couldn't go back in after what had happened he waited until darkness fell upon the land and the lights went out in the apothercary. He broke in through the window and crept across the moonlight lit floor making as little sound as possible. He went up to the shelf where he had taken the vial down from eariler. After taking several of the down and examining them in the light he found the one he was looking for. He made his way back to the tethered horse and rode out of the town.

He had not slept for 3 days now and his tiredness soon overcame him. He tried to fight it off as he rode the horse for all he was worth, but eventually he succumbed and fell asleep while riding. The horse not being driven to run slowed down and eventually stopped. When he awoke he saw the sun was high in the sky, he was in the middle of Hyrule field and the horse was grazing quietly. The gravity of the situation soon hit him and he was soon thundering his way back to the village.

He didn't wait for the horse to stop. As he got to the village he leapt off the horse and ran to the house. He ran in triumphantly with the medicine but his mood was brought crashing down by the sombre faces looking back at him. He was told that she had died in the early hours of the morning. He walked slowly up to her where she lay still in her bed, but now at peace. 'I'm sorry, Sparrow.' and he broke down incontrolable tears.

Six Years Later

'How can I help you.' The apothercary asked. 'You can help even a score.' He said. In a single swift movement he cut the mans neck. The man put his hand to his throat in an attempt to stop the which was pouring out, seeping through his fingers. He collasped to the floor and cowered away as he lept over the counter. 'I haven't forgotten what you said to me six years ago.' The fear in the mans eyes changed to one of inquisitiveness to recongnation and back to fear. 'So you recognise me now, because of you the girl I loved as a sister died.' Mans face started to grow pale as his continued to lose blood, his breaths gargled with blood. 'Now you will get die knowing that no-one is going to save you and alone.' He walked away then turned back and croached next to the man looking directly into his eyes. 'Here's the 300 rupees.' He took a pouch from his belt and emptied the contents over mans head. He walked away from the blood soaked man and taking the key that hung on the wall he locked the door behind him as he left.

'Never again.' He said under his breath.

"Alright," the Gerudo says without pause. She immediately darts forward, assuming that the others are following closely behind her. Her movements are decidedly stealthy - the rustling of her cloak is almost nonexistant and her feet kick up no sand at all. Entering the village, she instinctively chooses a narrow pathway that serves as a back alley between two rows of houses.

As the moon continues on its downward trek towards the horizon, the group encounters their first problem rather early on. Reaching a long stretch of the main street, Koura hides in the shadows of the moonlight and gazes out from behind one of the houses. A quick hiss is enough to demonstrate her annoyance.

A group of five Gerudo guards patrol the streets, one of which has just passed by your current position. Their routes are arranged in such a way that no one could possibly sneak past them. Some sort of distraction will undoubtedly be required...

OOC: Hmm, seeing as how I volunteered, I should probably speak up, huh? :D

IC:
Rose strides out into the path of the guard. "Excuse me," she says in flawless Gerudic. "I'm looking for the Gerudo in charge of security around here. It absolutely sucks in some areas."

At the sound of the voice - even one speaking in Gerudic - the two nearest guards rush forward and bring their spears in line with Rose's neck. Stopping only a few feet away from her (and the spears' point less an inch away), they begin barking orders to her, something about staying still.

Soon another Gerudo runs over and looks over the trespasser. One of the Gerudo glances in the leader's direction. "She speaks our language," she says in Gerudic.

The newcomer nods in understanding. "She is a mere Human," she replies in the same tongue. "Doubtless she is unaware of the laws of this land. Lower your weapons, ladies." The two follow out her orders without question. "I'm afraid that we Gerudo have a law indicating that this time is to be a curfew - and it is even more strictly enforced now that our new king has been born."

Turning to the others, she motions for the other two nearby to approach her. When all four have gathered around her and Rose, she slowly begins speaking again. "I will be taking the woman to a safe haven for the remainder of the curfew hours. Sursha, you will be in charge of this area until my return." A Gerudo nods, but another one steps forward, asking why Sursha was chosen.

Koura looks around the corner and nods to those with her. "Now's our chance. Let's go." Leaping out from their cover, the Gerudo charges silently across the barren landscape.

The Gerudo leader can obviously see them as they run across...but makes no move to stop them.

Rose showed no sign of fear as the Gerudos pointed their spears at her neck. It may have helped her, for she had been scared senseless. Luckily, they lowered their weapons. She decides to keep on talking to them, just in case.

"Why is there a curfew?" she asks. "This place hardly seems dangerous, and I doubt anyone would be heartless enough to kill an infant, even if the infant is a king."

At Rose's words, the woman all stop their arguments and look at her. The leader takes charge of this correction yet again. "You are not privy to the information that a regular of these parts would know. There have been two attempts on the king's life in the past month; we have hired special forces to find and eliminate these threats, and one of them has indeed been punished. The other should be gone by now as well, though we have yet to confirm it.

"There are many who believe that should our kind ever gain a king again, then no matter what we shall attempt to destroy Hyrule. It is sickening...to discriminate against our kind because of the acts of one man." From the annoyed babbling that arises from the other four guards, it can be assumed that none of them have any respect for the one that the leader has alluded to: Ganondorf. "But that is the world in which we live...as I said, you are unaware of the laws of our land. The desert is a place of cruelty and suspiscion, unlike your North Castle."

"I agree with you," Rose says, hoping she isn't going to far. "A whole should not be judged because of a part, or at least when it comes to people. Where is this safe haven you're taking me to?"

OOC: Okay, Red Fury or ZV need to get over here now. :D

Oh, and Alpha, not doing homework like you're supposed to? Same here. We really should start an offical club.

Following the Koura across he feels uneasy about leaving Rose behind and even more so about running around in plain sight. If Rose is doing her job correctly we should be fine. He quickens his pace to get level with Koura and asks her: ' How close are we to the Crescent Moon Tavern and how will we, you, be able to talk to Enici there's bound to be others around.' Maybe this was not the best time to ask such questions but he would like to know that they weren't just making it up as they went on.

"It's very early in the morning," Koura replies curtly as she ducks into another small alley on the other side of the street. "The only people there will be those who are totally drunk, and Enici. We shouldn't have to worry about it." She crouches down and leans one eye out again to look at where Rose stands with the other Gerudo.

The Gerudo leader finishes up the discussion over who will take charge now with an angered look. "Sursha will take control. That is my decision. You had best learn to live with it, Brinna." She motions for the guards to return to their routes, which they do, then waves for Rose to follow her. The Gerudo walks straight towards the alley which Koura and the others hide within...

"An alley is a safe haven?" Rose asks. "Where I come from, alleys at night are not places you want to be."

The Gerudo does not respond to Rose's statement, and simply charges right ahead. "This alley holds someone that can keep you safe," she says quietly. Oddly enough, it seems as though she is struggling to contain a flash of anger from erupting from within her body.

She rounds the corner, and looks at the Gerudo standing there without blinking. Koura gives the guards' leader a small smile. "Thanks, Elissa."

Elissa puts a hand to her forehead and leans against the wall of the alley. "Koura, what are you thinking!?!" she says, obviously struggling to keep her voice down. "You know as well as I do that you aren't allowed here in the village! You are an exile!"

Koura turns away. "I need medicine from Enici. There's a Rito who will die if we don't get his help."

Elissa merely nods. "As always, your reasoning is sound. But just...be careful. Mistress Nyra is no longer alive, I hear..." A tear forms in Koura's eye at the name's mention, slowly moving down her cheek as she nods in confirmation. "...so you need to be on your guard. I'd hate for my best friend to be killed." With a warm smile, she motions for the group to get going while they still can.

Rose breathes a sigh of relief; she was lucky the two Gerudos were friends, despite Koura being an exile. "Well, then," she says quietly, "where to next?"
