Sabertache, Tantari mercenary extraordinaire, leaned against the building, looking across the bridge at the majestic Hyrule Castle. It really is beautiful...He thought. It was strange; He had been here for a few months now, but he never stopped to observe the wonders of this land. But now...now that he was possibly about to die, he was compelled to take in and appreciate every wonder he could lay eyes on.

The castle provided a momentary distraction from the mental and emotional chaos he had been in prior to his arrival here not five minutes ago. So beautiful...he thought, closing his eyes...beauty...I haven't stopped and appreciated beauty for ten long, hard years...His mind drifted back to his home that seemed oh-so-far away now...the rolling hills and open fields had been the first beauteous thing to captivate him...and the last, until now anyways.

Running through the wheat fields with his dog, Jessie...he would hide in the immense plot of tall grains, the faithful canine bounding through the waving plants after her master's scent...Like a wild dog, hunting down a hare...His mind snapped painfully back to the present. Like me...he reminded himself of his goal, and the pain and anguish flooded back to him, making him horribly aware of his losses yet again.

The mercenary realized he had been crying for some time now. The sun was low in the sky now, as it was almost night, and it shone off the streams, causing his face to glow and making his tears obvious. He quickly blotted his tears on his red tunic, the color darkening in the spot where he wiped. He turned to his companions, ready to brief them on the specifics.

"Okay then, so..." He realized his voice was still sobby, and he cleared his throat, swallowed, and closed his eyes as he regained his composure. "The alleyway. That's our first point of interest. We need to search the area for any trace of human occupation. It's been a month, but hopefully, there will still be something." He silently cursed at himself. Why didn't you try this earlier, Saber? They could be in another country by now...Yet something inside him, some nagging presence, kept him going...

OOC: Okay. Now, it's time to lay some guidelines as more people are allowed to join.

1. Nobody post until Zelda Veteran and Hi No Seijin have posted, since they were following Saber it only makes sense that Dogura and Rose say something before other people. After they post, anyone else can join.

2.I will expect the utmost effort out of everybody here. If you insist on:

a.Making short posts
b.Posting things that contradict what already happened. Seriously people, READ THE PREVIOUS POSTS THOROUGHLY
c.Posting with such horrible grammar and spelling that noone can understand what you are trying to say. If you think your post is questionable, just send it to me, I'll edit it and send it back to you to post.
d.Godmoding/saying you found evidence all by yourself, saying you know where they are, blah blah blah. I'm the one writing the story.

Then I will ask RG to delete your posts and we will ignore you.

3.Yes, this is an event, declared so by RG.

4.If you want to fully know what's going on, read 'An Innocent Query' in the Courtyard, and my topic in f33. Those are the first parts to this.

5.Have fun with it.

OOC: I've read the rules, and terms of agreement. I'm exactly or OVER 13 years of age, and I'm ready to get started.

IC: The samurai approached, Alex and Darkin following close behind. The sun was setting; Dogura's favorite time of the day. The sun was a low hue of orange, and it was sitting just over the horizon, painting a beautiful picture for the land. Dogura stopped at Saber, and nodded. "We're all here, and we're ready to roll." Alex walked a little closer to the castle, getting a better view. "So the ally is back in there somewhere..." Alex turned to Saber, a serious look on his face. "I know I might not look like much... and its true. I'm not much of a warrior. But I'll do anything I can to aid you." Darkin rested a hand on Alex's head. "As will I. Let us know when you're ready." Dogura nodded. "So these men... They're all part of a syndicate, and a dangerous one." The Hylian samurai looked out over the castle. "Have you seen Ms.Hillmound?"

Rose frowned. "I've been with you all for a while now," the ranger said, looking in the samurai's direction.

OOC: And end post. XD

Nah, just kidding.

IC:
"Also, Dogura, I like my surname too, but you don't always have to refer to me as Ms. Hillmound. Rose will do just as well."

The human turned her gaze to North Castle. "Are you sure you want to begin your search now, Saber? It's getting dark, which won't be any trouble for me. Call me lazy, but I don't feel like being the only one looking for clues of this gang."

Well, whatever he decides to do, no point in arguing with him, the ranger thought. I very well would've done the same thing back in Holodrum.

OOC: I had a really good thing going while I was typing to reply to this, but I accidentally exited out of it. So here I go ... again....

The new and improved Orpheous is ready to participate in this event. I am exactly or over the age of 13, and I am full of questions. I will participate in this topic either way, but would it be fitting if Orpheous were to be able to use his inkweaving summoning ability in this topic, if the answer be no, say no, and forget I even asked. Oh, and HnS, if you wish to critique that ability go a head, but in my own opinion, it is as off the wall as your morphing talent is. I assume that I can you NMC's in this event(Non-Main Characters). After all, Dogura is using Darkin and Alex(who I might add, is from Earth).

IC: It was a beautiful fading day outside, as Orpheous walking back from the castle back to the camp. He was wearing his usual cloak with the Terminain watch on his wrist. Under his cloak, he wore a robes, but the top part was covered up with a tunic. His black hair and hood blew in the wind(which I assume is a light breeze). He had not noticed the beauty of this marvelous place either. He hadn't been able to with the fighting evil and whatnot. Ever since the day he got here, nay, ever since his second hour here, his first hour had been dedicated to taking in the scenery and looking at the beauty, he had been caught up in getting organized. Then came Roronek, and then the voyage, and then the PFH(which was still going strong). However, ever since about half a month ago, since the beauty of his life, Silna, revealed her love about him to him(and of course, he felt the same way), something about Hyrule seemed more enthralling and ever so more beautiful. He had taken minutes out of every day since then to recognize the beauty, but today he had forgot.

However, remembering he had forgot made him look west to the setting sun, which could barley be seen behind the castle. Hyrule Castle. Man, this place had changed him so much. Then another thing struck him, twilight was practically his second favorite time of day, other than the time when it is so dark outside, you can't even see a rupee shimmering in a river. Last night had been their first kiss. It was so moving. However, he realized that she needed to protect the species, and that meant that he might have to give her up to on of her own kind.

Even though she was the last of her kind, Orpheous figured he might be able to inkweave a male to suit her, so he had begun working on the scribe. Whether it be a good thing or a bad thing, he was already one-fourth of the way there.

Slowly walking behind him was were two people, one of which just about everybody knew, it was his 16 year old apprentice, Simon. The other man, who looked like he was in his late teens, early twenties, only Saber and Dogura would know. He was an Earthain who goes by the name of Matt Wittherson. Simon was dressed similarly to his master, but Matt wore a black t-shirt and black jeans.

Simon poked Orpheous, who turned around to see Dogura, Alex, another one of Dogura's friends whose name escaped him, Saber, and the rude lady from the cross-roads.

He walked over slowly and noticed the mercenary's tears. He then developed a good ice breaker, "Hey guys, sup. Can somebody give a short recap of what I missed?" When he said it, he looked at everybody except from Rose, who he clearly ignored. He thought to himself that if she got mad at him for that, that he could remind her that she should have been a little nicer at the cross-roads.

OOC: Savvy?

Saber glanced over at Rose as she spoke. He lowered his head, looking away from the beautiful castle and mulling everything over. "Yes." He spoke finally after debating with himself a while. "It would be best to look now, without all the pesky civilians getting in the way and asking questions. We would surely be reported for suspicious activity." He brushed his hair aside, out of his eye. It was wet at the tip now from his tears. "I doubt we're going to find what we want tonight, anyways. Tomorrow, when everyone's out and about in the daylight, we can ask questions. It's all about convenience..."

Then he was greeted by an old friend from his trip to earth--a few, actually. He turned to face Orpheous and smiled. "Well, in a nutshell..." He then went into a not-so-short version of precisely what he had told Rose and Dogura. He was beginning to tire of telling this tale...

OOC: And I declare this event....OPEN!!!

Anyways, Orpheous, if you haven't read the previous topics, I highly suggest you do so. The first one is optional, it's 'An Innocent Query' in the Courtyard. It's good to read that, but not required. You should definitely read the one in f33 though, as that's the first part of the event. I don't feel like explaining everything again :P

I would appreciate if you left Inkweaving out of this, actually, as it would mess up this whole stealth system I've been developing for the dungeon. I suppose you may use it for the information gathering, but that's it. I don't really think it'll be very useful anyways.

Ah, yes, NPCs...Here's the deal with those. They will not be allowed into the dungeon at the end. I talked it over with ZV, only Dogura will be entering. You'll see why when we get there. This does not mean, however, they will be out of the thing entirely. You'll see.

I would also like to clear up Rose's morphing before HNS explodes. He has worked out a very precise and developed system for morphing, and actually gave up TP for it. She uses SPL when she shapeshifts, while your inkweaving just pulls a character out with no cost, and it is just as strong as a normal character. So they aren't quite even.

The samurai winced. "The last thing I want, is to be reported. I'm a wanted man as it is, North Castle is a red zone for me. I can't believe I haven't been caught yet. The artist must not have portrayed me very good." He smiled at the thought, and quickly turned stern again. He sensed the sever emotions creeping over his friend. Dogura too felt like crying at times, however, he put up a stone cold front. The samurai couldn't help but sypathize with the man. He seemed rather dissorientated, and confused about whats going on. Darkin took flight, heading for North Castle. "Don't worry about him, he's just scouting." Dogura said with tired tone. His voice was raspy, and it was manifest that he was lacking on sleep.

OOC: First, check my updated profile, there you have it, and extremely delicate inkweaving system that draws an SPL cost. As for the TP, well, um... I'm waiting 'til I get two, and right now I only have one. See? Awkward..... I am down with everything you just gave me though. I don't mind one bit.

Oh, by the off the wall comment I had, it is true, both our our talents are equally off the wall, seeing how they are currently both on the wall, as opposed to off of it.

IC: Orpheous began thinking as soon as the story began. He always did love to get an image of what the bigger picture might look like when the puzzle is finished. After hearing the story, he wanted to make sure he got the basic facts straight. "So, to make a short story even shorter, you found a dead merchant and you have a hunch that a mark on the back of the merchant's neck was made by the assailant. Not only that, but the same mark was on the back of your family's necks when you found them dead. So, you believe that the assailant(s), are one and the same, and you are trying to track them down to avenge your family. Also, as of right now you are looking for clues. Is this right?" as he completes it, he takes in a deep breath.

He reaches into his robes, pulls out the necklace he is wearing and awaits Saber's answer. It is a communication crystal that he would, without a doubt, use to tell his camp that he was going on an adventure with Simon and Matt, and that he might not be back for a while. If he survived at all.

"Oh, I almost forgot to ask," stated Orpheous. "I you don't mind telling me Dogura, why are you a wanted man?"

OOC: Try not to do to much conversational posting(you all know, me leaving and coming back to a topic that has already been completed).

~Outside the castle, near the edge of the moat, a lone hylian was walking swiftly, a hood over his head, and shrouded in a black cloak. He was making his way quickly towards the castle gate. The sun was starting to go down, and one didn't want to be caught in the field after sun down. When the bridge closed, the night creatures came out, some native to the land, and some coming down from the desert. Either way it was a dangerous place, even with the so-called powerful Hyrule Knights protecting the region.

It didn't take long for him to enter the castle. He could feel the last rays of the setting sun warming his clothing, but he had trouble enjoying it in the crowded streets. The hylian didn't have a particular destination in mind, but he thought he might visit the temple district. It wasn't a bad idea to pray in a sacred place now and then.

Pyre had been walking through the town square on the way to the Temple of Nayru when he heard. Some vendors were talking about a discover of a murder that had happened about a month ago. It seems like it started as a childrens game, but then a large commotion started about a killing. The hylian wasn't all to interested in what was going on. Intrigue in the castle just wasn't for him, and couldn't compare to wandering through the forest. Of course, if something more ominous was starting to happen he guessed he should check it out.

Then he saw Saber and things started to change. The ranger couldn't be sure if the mercenary was involved, and he had no reason to believe so since the murder had happened so long ago, but he had a bad feeling this had to do with his friend and he would check things out just to be sure. He strode forward getting closer to the mercenary, and then spotting Dogura and Rose. More friends. Pyre felt the same feeling he felt whenever he saw a gathering of familiar adventurers. Something big was going to happen. The hylian almost regretted approaching them. He would probably be robbed of peace for quite some time if he joined the group, but he didn't know how prophetic his words would be.

When he was in speaking range of his friends, he called out to his fellow ranger. One of them at least, for he didn't always know to trust the unstable samurai (:P). "Rose, I just heard something about a murder that happened just a few weeks ago, whats going on. Why is everyone gathering around..." Although he didn't know what was going on at the moment, he knew that he would soon be enlightened. He probably wouldn't like what he heard either, but he venturered the question anyways. Might as well get it over with ( )~

OOC: Rose's shape shifting ability is perfectly in line with the Zelda setting. Need I remind you of the bosses in the Zelda series that have changed their form? Hell, in MM Link does it with the help of masks. Besides, shape shifting can be seen in several myths from around the world, whereas your inkweaving is taken from a children's book(s). There is a major difference, so don't you dare call me out on Rose's shape shifting.

As for your system, it doesn't matter that you created one. Inkweaving is still out of place in Hyrule, as well as your character, most of your NPCs, and some other characters created by other RPers. This is a Zelda RP. Not a general fantasy RP. A setting was laid down by Jack, the Almighty Narrator, and such setting does not have room for "Earthians." Honestly, I think ZV is pushing it with Alex, but at least I know he can handle it properly.

Also, I can't recall a single time any of the mediocre or below RPers willingly held a stat battle, and I know that I as well as others are not going to allow it in our stat battles. Hell, if I, for some reason, decided to have an RP battle and, for some reason, allowed you to participate, I still wouldn't allow inkweaving. If you want inkweaving, find an Inkheart RP forum where it will actually belong. So, hey, guess what? All your work seems to be wasted.

As for my IC half, I'll get that up once Pabru is done. Flipping Hylian ranger stole my spot.

Sorry it took so long. *coughPabrucough* I'm also still in a no-RPing mood right now, but I'll churn out something so we can continue. Sorry for the delay. And I apologize for the crappiness; like I said, I'm not really in the mood right now.

IC:
Rose listened to Saber's reply. Makes sense, I guess, she thought. I wouldn't want people badgering me either. And then more people came, most of them she had never seen before. The only person she did recognize was Pyralin. And with all these people, we might look suspicious. Some should leave. I would say these strangers, but Saber seems to know them and trust them enough to tell them what's going on right away. Whereas I had to earn his trust by telling him about Baris. And at that thought, she frowned. He must have known them longer. I had only meet him once before, and that was only for a brief moment. That must be it. She pushed it to the back of her mind and said, unintentionally ignoring Pyre, "Well, might as well get started, right, Saber?"

OOC: Okay, calm down a bit, now. No need...as I stated earlier, Inkweaving would actually prove more hurtful then helpful in this case. Now then...I may as well answer Orpheous' post while I wait for you two to finish.

Orpheous, don't tell me not to ask you to read previous parts of the story. Isn't it a good idea to know the whole story? You don't just open a book and start reading from the middle...

IC: Saber's eyes flicked over to Dogura briefly, acknowledging his presence before slipping back to the castle and the beautiful sunset. He was about to cry an alarm when the sunset was blocked out by the Rito, but Dogura's explanation appeased him and he settled back down, then he was beset upon again by the young teenaged Inkweaver.

He sighed as Orpheous tried to grasp the situation. There are only so many things a thirteen year old like him could understand....things that I was forced to learn at such a younger age...He sighed and answered the boy without looking at him. "Yeah, that's close enough I suppose. Do you mind bothering someone else for awhile? I'm preoccupied at the moment..." Thankfully, the Inkweaver turned his attention to Dogura, leaving Saber in peace, albeit for a very short time.

This is annoying...He thought, disgruntled. I don't want this to be public...this is my fight. He glanced over towards Rose. Well, maybe not just mine...in a way, this is Rose's as well...That's when the importance of what she was doing hit him, and he gazed upon her with a newfound respect. She's willing to sacrifice herself just to give me a chance....a chance that she had taken from her. She's ready to give her life to make sure that one shot isn't snatched away from me as well...

Saber nodded at Rose's query. "Yeah, I think we're good to go. So then." He glanced over at Orpheous and his friends. I hope I can get rid of them quick....only reason I told him about this was so that he'd shut up...Damn that kid gets annoying...He sighed and brushed her hair aside. Then again, so do all teenagers. He added, looking over at Alex. "Anyways, let's go guys. To the alley!"

(((OOC: hey I took you up on your offer, saber! ;D your story line...looks interesting. xD jk jk

Oh, and this is after Melody and Pyre meet in the deku forest. So she knows Pyralin right now.)))

Melody sat on a rook top in North Castle Main square gazing up at the brilliantly colored sky, as if it were painted by Din himself. She smiled to herself as she hoisted herself up, her small girl for seeming heaving and a reliability compared to her fairy form. She was about to launch off as she spotted a familiar whisp of bright flaming hair, concealed partially by a black cape.

Grinning an impish smile she launched off high into the air, and caught the wind, gliding peacefully overhead. What is he doing here, out here by himself? Heading to the east, it looks. She followed him for quite a while as he made his was to the temple, meeting with a small group of growing people. What was this?

Spiraling slowly down, she perched silently on a boulder, watching with sharp eyes at the scene. Pyre obviously knew most of them and she wondered to herself what they were on about. Deciding she should shortly know she listened in as the story was retold to a slow looking human. (xD) She nodded slowly, yes, this might be interesting.

Slowly flying over to the group she spoke, "Helllo. Pyre." she nodded to the ranger, her voice life soft bells on an autumn wind. "Everyone else. I am Melody, a Cleric." she turned into a little girl once again, loose strands of her black whisped back hair blowing astray. She smiled at them, "And a fairy as even the dull one might have noted."

(((OOC: sorry for the length, but I have to go.)))

OOC: Why does everybody seem to think we're at a Temple? We're across the river from the castle....and about him telling Orpheous so quickly, HNS, this should explain it. Plus he knew and trusted Pyre already.

IC: Saber was about to cross the bridge when a high-pitched voice reached his ears, making him jump as the girl came out of nowhere. "Where have--How'd you--Who are--?!" The mercenary sputtered out of shock. Gathering his wits, he got out a harsh, "What was that all about!?!?" He realized he was breathing heavily and calmed down. He had been on edge for quite some time now, and that had been the last straw.

"Woah, calm down, guy." said Worru, looking at Sabertache as he neared the group. "After all, she's just a little girl." he added, as he looked over the group. He was thankful for being a Sheikah now, as he could see very well in the dark. He looked, and recognized Orpheous, him being a friend, Dogura, him being the guy who kicked his butt at the Grand Tournament, and Saber, from a dungeon they went though, just that he couldn't remember the specifics of it at the moment.

Worru ran his fingers through his har, looking at those he didn't know; the little girl, the human and hylian rangers, and both groups that followed Orpheous and Dogura. "Soo...something tells me that this is about that merchant that died 'bout a month ago, right?" he asked, trying to tell what exactly was going on. He never was a smart one.

Saber was shocked again as another figure came from nowhere. If these people don't stop doing that I'm going to have a heart attack...He looked the new man over. A Shiekah...the one that Dogura beat in the tournament...his name, what was it? Worruson? Worru Worruson, that's it. Not very creative, but oh well. How did he know this is what we were here for?!? He looked as his assembled group, his eyes settling on Rose. Was she inviting all these people? Oh well, he would get rid of them soon enough...he didn't want all these people getting in the way of his vengeance. He sighed and addressed the newcomer. "Yes, this is about the murder. We're just going to examine the scene of the crime for clues, that's all."

Blank trudged along, staring at the ground as went. His shadow seemed to mock him, and he tried to ignore it. “You know what you did; you remember it well,” it seemed to bark at him, with a malicious grin planted on its non-existent face. These words were merely manifestations of his own thoughts. He was tired, and when he became tired, he began to think differently. That age-old voice that had once haunted him would return in his own head, and more and more he would notice the similarity to his own voice. The Hylian shook off the notion and gazed ahead of him at the prestigious castle town.

Normally when he came this close to North Castle, it was to chance a drink at the Ornery - against the wishes of his fellow guild members. Today, however, Blank was simply passing by on his way to his favorite tall oak in the Greens, under which he would nap for hours. Much to the chagrin of the nomad, a sizable group of adventurers had gathered by the Gate House. He tried to slip by them, knowing very well that if he even said “Hello,” he would be drawn into their group and forced into a whirlwind of adventure. And all he wanted at that moment was a nap under his favorite tall oak tree!

I guess it can wait... Don't wanna seem like some kind of outcast, he thought miserably. When he saw Saber, he cocked an eyebrow and gasped inwardly. “It's that mercenary from highlands. Maybe he won't remember the few minutes of our short meeting on the flats,” he whispered cautiously to himself. As he approached the gathering, more faces became familiar, and a few strangers stood out among the crowd as well. There was Saber, who seemed to be the ringleader, as well as Rose and Dogura. Pyralin... was being harassed by some kind of insect? No, it seemed as though a fairy had donned the title of adventurer. Blank was content with this fact, as that race had always interested him. He glanced at Orpheous and Worru, unsure of whether or not they had been formally introduced, but he was sure he had witnessed one of their many exploits on his travels.

“Hey, everyone. Large group of you all today...,” he said uneasily. Then, swallowing his feelings of regret and locking them away for the time being, he smiled and casually stated - without first finding out the briefing of the event - his intentions. “I'm in.”
