Why is Link a bunny when you first go to the dark world?

It's basically what I said a page ago.  I said that Link's timid nature probably led to the form of a bunny.

It doesn't have to be an animal.  There's some guy who keeps changing his mind and he turned into a ball.  Some people, I can't see what animal they turned into!  Link got to stay in his Hylian form after that because he got the Moon Pearl.
