How come english class is boring?

Because everyone insists on this idiotic formality when people write stuff, which really kills my style.  The formal "rules" of writing doesn't allow for the writer to talk to the reader, which is how I write.

Why are you reprimanded in English class for having your own style?(yes HNS, I have that problem too. Apparently there is something wrong with having three storylines running at the same time. anybody who isn't an Englich teacher loves my story though.)
