Tayro is once again reminded of his difficulties in physical combat as he slips up again (4+1[Roll+AGI]) and collapses in a heap. The Cranha scurries forward, snapping both its pincers and its jaws. The pincer snaps onto the Scholar's shoulder, dealing 4 DMG.

Rose's boomerang flies forward and hits the second Cranha in the face (12+3[Roll+AGI]), dealing 6 DMG. The Cranha charges forward and bites at her hand. However, Rose quickly retracts it (4+3[Roll+AGI]) and the creature misses.

Arco's dagger drives home (20+6[Roll+AGI]), dealing 7 DMG to the third one. It retaliates (20+3[Roll+AGI]), grabbing the shield with one pincer and lurching itself over to pince Arco's nose, dealing 4 DMG.

OOC: Sure. But with a roll like that, who needs a bonus? XD

Blank looked at the newest monster in amazement. Moreks, Piranhells, Cranhas... he thought, shivering as he thought of all the terrible fiends in this awful place. "Another Zaboorak creation? This guy is disgusting!" Blank could not believe that a Zora would try to meld two oceanic creatures together. "He should've fused himself with a seahorse and made things easier on us."

The time for sarcastic comments had disappeared; the nomad knew that he would have to attack. He drew his trusty Deku Sword, adjusting its angle just right, pointing it at the nearest Cranha. Then, he charged, lunging at the terrible monster and arcing the wooden blade horizontally towards it. It was only a simple technique known to even the most basic of fighters, but it had always done the trick.

Alex first uses an Elemental Burst of fire to easyly charge over the Cranha(2)
First he knocks the creature with his shield, putting all his body weight on it, and as he lands, he rolls to stab the Cranha in the head, he Jumps back to his defending stance and holds his shield tightly...

Nogare was glad that they had completed the puzzle. But as the little creatures jumped out, he felt for his staff. He looked around in shock, but remembered he only had the sword (The reason his turn was delayed.) He drew his sword, and jumped at the beasts. He knew they would be weak.

No use in wasting my magic, i should save it for when i must use my healing arts. But for now, my staff will do!

Denning runs up and attacks a Cranha (the third one, with 11 hp) with a great swing of his staff, as he charges then jumps to gain more power before the attack.

OOC: Err.. Alpha... having used two Elemental Bursts in the past, shouldn't my SPL be 0?

IC: Tayro gets up, a very serious look in his face.
Dripping water all over, the Hylian shook himself to try and get most of the water out of him, suceeding in getting all wet again, because of such shaking, he lost his balace, and again he fell into the remainders of the flood.

Getting a bit annoyed of his clown-ish show, the boy mutters a "Don't laugh.", and once again tried to get dry, without any avail.

Undisturbed by the water, Tayro again moves towards Cranha number 3, this time placing each of his feet firmly on the ground. Gripping his Staff hard, the boy approaches his target carefully, and, poking it first with the tip of the staff, turns the staff upside down and attempts to slam his Deku carved weapon against the Cranha.

Rose attacks the same Cranhas, but this time with her Deku dagger. Why she didn't use the sword Baris had given her, she didn't know, but the dagger was a reliable weapon.

OOC: Man, I'm on fire here. Haven't been touched yet. Good thing I invested in that jerkin.

Shada laughs lightly at Blank's comment. "Tell me about it. Zaboorak has always had a fascination with destroying the natural order of things."

Blank's charge is indeed effective (6+2[Roll+AGI]), and the blade slices through the fourth Cranha to deal 11 DMG. It immediately lunges at the nomad with its teeth bared, but cannot get past his defense (5+3[Roll+AGI]). It flies past Blank's head, harmlessly striking the air.

Shada also charges forward with her two daggers drawn. She aims to take out the third Cranha permenently, and her attack succeeds (16+7[Roll+AGI]). It deals 11 DMG, finishing the creature off.

Alex's burst cannot be stopped by the second Cranha (6+0[Roll+SPI]). It would have done 9 DMG to it, but being of the Water Element he has a natural resistance to fire. It only does 4 DMG. It too launches itself at Alex, and succeeds in pincing the Zora's face and dealing 4 DMG.

Nogare hits (7+3[Roll+AGI]) with his sword and slings the fourth Cranha to the floor, dealing 8 DMG. It tries to regain its footing, but fails (1+3[Roll+AGI]). Denning's staff has to find a new target, so it goes for the fourth one as well. Still trying to get back up, the Cranha cannot avoid the staff (16+4[Roll+AGI]), and it too dies.

Tayro's staff goes at the first Cranha. He finally gets a break from his bad luck (9+1[Roll+AGI]), and slams into it, dealing 10 DMG. But his defenses aren't exactly outstanding, so the Cranha easily gets a counter strike (15+3[Roll+AGI]), dealing 5 DMG with its teeth on the boy's left hand.

Rose's dagger slashes through the second Cranha (5+3[Roll+AGI]), dealing 7 DMG and almost finishing it. The Cranha tries to snap at Rose's stomach, but the Jerkin she wears stops the pincers cold (2+3[Roll+AGI]).

IC:

Arco stumbles backwards several paces; someone close to him might have been able to hear him cry under his breath: "Arrratt Rrrr!" (Translation: "My nose!). Gathering his composure again--hard to do when your nose is bleeding, big time--he shifts his grip on his dagger--blade facing outwards, away from thumb--and speeds forward in a series of rapid, tiny steps. Not as fast as a big leap, but a whole lot more versatile if your enemy tries to evade. He crosses his shield over in front of his face...

Last thing I want is two bite marks on my nose... as it is, I hope I don't ever see a mirror until that scar is gone.

...and, just before he slams down the blade on the nearest Cranha, he realizes that a party member is in the way. Skidding to a stop, he takes several steps back--realizing that he almost stabbed Rose--and reanalyzes his position...

OOC: They're probably all dead by now, anyway... the key words are "less work," right?

OOC: Thanks for nearly killing Rose, Weien. Ruin my night, why don't you?

OOC: You too give us a rest Alpha, let me take care of my arm/shoulder after the cranhas pleaaaaaaaaaaaase?

OOC: Anytime, Feet! Not my fault if her big head gets in the way, eh? Anyway, it was just your turn to be picked on, really ^_^.

OOC: Alpha, I think Blank should be dealing 11 points of damage with an attack. He has L3 Goron Strength, after all

IC:

Blank leaped away from the Cranha, relieved that he had managed to not only deal his damage, but escape the vicious counterattack at the same time. He beamed with pride as he watched the other swoop in for their attacks, then remembered that the best thing to do would be attack again. He shrugged, and decided to turn instinct into action in the best way he could. Taking the hilt of his low-class sword in both hands, the nomad stepped slowly towards the Cranha that he had attacked. When he was close enough, he felt a powerful surge of strength reach his arms, and he jabbed the blade forward with all the might he possessed, in a terrifying two-hand thrust. Well, it normally seemed terrifying, but these were crustaceans. Now Blank looked like more of a ranger than a killer.

OOC: Oh...you're absolutely correct, Blank.

IC:
Blank's sword slices (6+2[Roll+AGI]) through the first Cranha, dealing 11 DMG and killing it too. Grenada aims his own blade at the final Cranha, and it too slashes into the creature (13+5[Roll+AGI]), killing it with an 8 DMG attack.

As the last of the Cranhas fall, the bars over both doors slowly slide upward, permitting the group to at last leave this place.

Denning, seeing Alex hurt, uses his healing powers.
