Rose had lost her breath from that hit, but now that she had it back, she was ready to attack again. She saw that the beetles had someone come back and that the bug/slash snake thing didn't like fire. She bit her lip. She still had no control over her Elemental Burst, but either way she could potentially hurt both the Kakris Beetles and Scizorn. She threw up her hand and unleashed Elemental Burst against.

OOC: I know, Nogare. I remember watching that show, just as HNS does. Alf was indeed funny.

Why do you attempt to taint my memory of such a wonderful being by trying to compare it to me? There is no such comparison; I am far inferior. I request that you remove such a horribly incorrect statement from FoG immediately, Nogare.

IC:
The Kakris Beetle cracks apart under Nogare's sword (4+5[Roll+AGI]). Another Beetle attempts to avenge its fallen comrade, but fails against the Vassal's superior defense (13+2[Roll+AGI]).

Dogura's blade succeeds in piercing the Scizorn and dealing a good deal of damage (11+6[Roll+AGI]). It's retaliatory strike fails to hits the Vagabond, who has proven too quick for even the speedy serpent (2+9[Roll+AGI]).

The Scizorn is, however, able to avoid the bomb Alex has thrown. Three of its Kakris counterparts are not nearly as fortunate ([11+3]), however, and when the burst subsides, they are all gone. "There! That one!" Xamnial cries, and the Scizorn closes in on the Zora who had rid the world of the beetles. Its horns rip into the Zora's skin, dealing a hefty 10 DMG to him (12+9[Roll+AGI]).

The new Elemental Burst from the Human flies forward, once again obtaining the Shadow Element. It rips through four of the Kakris Beetles before it has dissipated, but it is Scizorn that comes forward to obtain vengeance. However, Rose is able to avoid its large body with quick maneuvering (7+9[Roll+AGI]), and so no damage is received on her end.

Alpha runs forward, stabbing through one of the Kakris Beetles without hindrance. Another Beetle rises up behind him, but Shada comes in from behind and slices it into multiple tiny pieces with her twin daggers. "You okay?" she asks. A nod answers her as the Sheikah mage rushes back into the fray.

Above, on Scizorn, Xamnial takes a cross-legged sitting position. Settling into a meditative stance, he starts muttering a quiet incantation. "Magical Refreshment..."

(Magical Refreshment: can only be used if SPL is less than 10. Removes user from combat for two turns; when returned, his SPL is full again.)

After being crushed in the Scizorn's mouth, Raven is understandably short of breath. The crush he had recieved had cracked all of his ribs but unfortunately for the Scizorn he could still hold his dagger and as long as he could do that he would continue to fight.

Undeterred by the swarm of five foor beetles he slides his way towards the snake, noticing that the beast master has taken to riding on the it's back. He surmises that it won't be able to move as fast as it did previously, unless it wants to throw it's master and once again thrusts the blade towards it's scaly flesh.

OOC: Alpha, I have 6 SPL, not twelve. I did Elemental Burst twice.

IC:
Seeing how her Elemental Burst failed to take out more beetles than she had hoped for, Rose jumps into a group of them and performs a spin attack.

OOC: Yeah, sure, HNS, criticize me after I've spent 6 hours on one single homework assignment. Thanks a lot.

Oh, and Raven, Xamnial's been on Scizorn's back throughout the entire fight.

IC:
Scizorn lets out a mighty bellow as Raven's dagger slashes into the underside of its scaly skin (10+6[Roll+AGI]), dealing 7 DMG to the mutated creature. Xamnial remains undisturbed on the creature's back as it lashes out with its horns, hitting Raven for another heavy 10 HP (19+9[Roll+AGI]).

Rose's spin attack succeeds in destroying an additional five Kakris Beetles (17+4). More of the bugs converge all over the Human, but none manage to hit the nimble woman (3+2[Roll+AGI]).

Koura rises upward and brings her scimitars downward towards the Scizorn's head, but the beast looks up and meets her glare before moving out of the way almost lazily (6+3[Roll+AGI]). Scizorn turns back instantly and slices into her skin with its horns (10+10[Roll+AGI]). She falls to the ground, gasping for breath as she struggles to get back on her feet. She fails.

OOC: Really!? I was under the impression he was standing back and allowing the creatures to do all the work.Oh, well it's not changed the outcome much.

IC: Raven rolls across the floor as the Scizorn's horns crash into him, but he manages to recover and he can feel the at least two of his cracked ribs are now broken. He doesn't feel the pain with the adrenaline coursing through his body, and he charges like a man - or should the be Shiekah - possessed right back towards the Scizorn. Keen to cut an adjoining wound to his previous attack. Unlike the other times, though, he is going to be ready for it's attack. [Dodge Check] (OOC: I really should have used that earlier.)

The now near-defeat ranger leaned aganist the wall on his back, this was too much for him, but still he was not defeated, not yet...
"If I'm ... going to fall, uh!... I'll make you... feel as much pain as me" he said with great difficult.
His mouth was still black with blood, but that didn't matter, this was going to be maybe the last attack in that fight, so make it the most powerful.
"AAAAHHHH!" he ran at the group of the damned insects, slashing as much as there were in his way, his body was torturing, but the rage blinded it all.
Standing in front of the Scizorn, he did what he had to do to make sure he hitted this time, he drew a bomb...

OOC:The zora is too proud to ask for it, but i'm not... HELP! use that little thing you long eared fellas have...

Dogura landed, satisfied with the damage he caused. He stood up straight, examining the room for anything of use. Perhaps a way to destroy the creatures more easily.

Rose ran towards the snake, if you could even really call it that. She'll let Alex worry about the bugs for now. She focused her energy on making a large ball of fire and throwing it at Scizorn.

OOC: If I don't have enough SPL for a Fire Spell, make it Elemental Burst.

And I'm sorry, Alpha. Please don't hurt me.

OOC: I'll let you off with a warning this time, HNS.

IC:
Raven's dagger once again slices through the mighty Scizorn (14+6[Roll+AGI]), ripping out 7 more HP in the process. His Dodge Check fails (11+3+6[Roll+INT+AGI] vs. 21), and he is subsequently trampled upon by the rampaging serpent's reprisal (12+9[Roll+AGI]).

Atop Scizorn, Xamnial's form begins to glow a light blue as his concentration continues to increase.

Alex's bomb crashes into Scizorn, exploding and taking out another 6 HP from the serpent. His Dodge Check fails miserably (4+3+3[Roll+INT+AGI] vs. 21). On its quest for vengeance, the Scizorn is able to easily score a mighty hit on the Zora (20+9[Roll+AGI]). The final amount of life is drained away from the hit and he falls to the ground, barely clinging on to life. The serpent is content to leave him unconscious so it can come back and feed on the Zora later. For now, it has others to deal with.

Dogura's Awareness Check fails (7+5[Roll+INT] vs. 15). Nothing jumps out to the Hylian...except the Kakris Beetle charging towards him. Its attack misses (13+2[Roll+AGI]), but is able to escape without harm.

Rose's Fire spell is all that is needed to finally topple the beast. Ensnaring the bug-snake in its flaming grasp, the magical blast succeeds in burning the Scizorn to a crisp (9+0[Roll+SPI]) dealing the final 10 DMG necessary to take it out. The flaming corpse crashes to the ground, shielding from the Ranger's sight as Xamnial, spell completed, leaps towards her to take vengeance in his beast's place. His staff nails Rose (18+4[Roll+AGI]), dealing a hefty 13 DMG to the lady.

Yukie, heartened by the snake's defeat, slashes through a storm of Kakris Beetles, taking out four in no time at all (14+5[Roll+AGI]). Xamnial again lashes out in place of his beasts, striking the Deku for 13 HP (9+4[Roll+AGI]).

Xamnial steps back from the Deku's form, and grins as he prepares another of his many abilities. His staff glows fiercely yet again, and once more shoots out beams of light in all directions. This time, however, the streams of light all converge on the different bugs that remain in the fight. "Animalic Cunning!"

(Animalic Cunning: for one turn, no beasts can miss their targets. Can be used only once every four turns.)

The twelve remaining bugs instantly turn as one, and begin their own fierce attacks. They instantly gather around the ones who retains the most health: Alpha, Shada, and Nogare. Four attack each of these adventurers, dealing 6 DMG with each attack, for a total of 24 HP lost by the defenders. No matter how hard they try, it seems that the bugs' intelligence has grown exponentially, and the Kakris Beetles can get around any defense they attempt to erect.

OOC: I have a sneaking suspicion that was my punishment. Do you have some kind of deal with the algorithm that runs the dice roller, Alpha?

IC:
Rose was torn. What would be the better strategy? Kill the bugs first, or take out the leader? Finally, Rose decided to attack Xiamnial; he was the one who had hit her with a staff. She dashed forward, bringing her sword into a downward slash as she within striking range. She considers saying, "You shouldn't attack ladies," but decides against it; after all, she was attacking one.

OOC: Sorry, Alpha, couldn't resist some comic relief. XD

OOC: grrr... first time they get me out in a battle, too bad nobody knows Elegy of the Departed. I'll soon get my revenge... Or maybe not, I just needed for one hylia to heal me with their favor...

IC:As Alex falls he watches all in slow motion, the beast falling in a sea of flames...
The kakris gathering around his friends, and he couldn't do anything to stop it, nothing to thelp them, he failed...
Kalex, seek for your sister...

OOC: HNS, if I wanted to punish you, you would have missed Scizorn, and then it, Xamnial, and all 12 Kakris Beetles would have performed a tag team attack on you. And I would have called you Feet.

IC:
Rose's sword slices into the Hakiem (19+4[Roll+AGI]), dealing 7 DMG. Crimson eyes glowing with a fierce hunger, he once again strikes Rose with his staff, this time coming down with ferocious speed upon the woman's shoulder (20+4[Roll+AGI]). Another 13 HP is deducted from the Human as payment for her own strike.

Alpha eyes the many Kakris Beetles that have just struck him. Anger is released as he smashes two of them straight into the ground with his staff (14+5[Roll+AGI]), but is renewed when the two remaining bugs in his area, still wizened by Xamnial's spell, slip past his defense and tear off more of his flesh.

IC:
Rose screams out in pain and jumps back, dropping her sword. She eyes Xiamnial angrily. Without a doubt her right shoulder was messed up; she couldn't lift it. Rose knew it was suicide, but she was determined to make the Hakiem pay. She extends her left arm and her sword jumps into her outstretched hand. She runs forward. At the last minute, she decides to throw in an insult. "You hit like a two year old with a rattle," she says maliciously, bringing her sword down on the man.

OOC: I would like to echo the sentiments made by Mikaudes about needing some help from the long ears.

IC: After having been crushed once again, Rven could feel that all but one, maybe two, of his ribs had been broken. He struggled to get up onto his hands and knees, and started to cough up blood. Spitting the remants of the blood from his mouth, he pushed himself up off the ground so slowly he thought that by the time the he had made onto his feet the battle would have ended and they would have found Zaris. Finally managing the task he shuffled past the giant corpse of the Scizorn, turing to look at it's lifeless form. He said quietly, as that was all he could manage, 'You weren't so tough.' He then coughs and spits out some more blood. He felt like yelling to the others. Hey! I need some help here. But in his condition he could barely whisper, and if he could, would he do so and risk turning all the enemies against him. As it was, anyone could see the condition he was in, so he just slumped down where he stood. He had hoped to make it to one of the chamber walls but that was out of his reach. He just layed there, his back lent up agianst a fallen foe, and wondered who would get to him first; one of the thirteen enemies that remained or a member from the group he had traveled with for so long. He left the outcome to fate.
