Hastily, he sidesteps, and then leaps at a tentacle (ooc: 1, 3, or 4, preferably, thanks ^^) and swings his dagger in an arco towards it.

Being bashed Raven slides dangerously near the to edge of the water. 'If there's one thing I hate more than getting wet; its getting hit by the tentacle of a hideous giant squid.' He leaps into the air and manages to straddle one of the tentacles and drives his dagger down towards it.

IC:
Kasei's fiery barrage ensnares the fifth tentacle (8+0[Roll+SPI]). Normally the attack would do 10 DMG, but the tentacle is exposed after attacking and a full 20 DMG is done, frying it well. The tentacle sinks into the water.

Rose's dagger similarly strikes the first tentacle (20+7[Roll+AGI*]), dealing an impressive 14 DMG. It too sinks underneath the water as it can no longer keep fighting.

Arco's swing takes out another chunk of the third tentacle (4+10[Roll+AGI*]), dealing 14 DMG and wiping out the life in another tentacle. Raven's strike similarly tears apart a good piece of the sixth tentacle (18+10[Roll+AGI*]), dealing 14 DMG. It retains its ability to move...for now...

Grenada, tired of sitting on the sidelines, leaps forward towards the second tentacle, which has been unharmed for the entirety of the fight so far. His Deku Sword plunges into it and rips the thing apart (18+9[Roll+AGI*]), taking out 16 HP. Since the tentacle doesn't have that much, it too falls in the pool with a splash.

Raven rips his dagger out of the tentacle and quickly moves out of the way as he watches with pleasure as the tentacle writhes in pain, but is slightly peeved that he hasn't done enough damage to get it to disappear back into the dark depths it emerged. He stands firm waiting for the squid's next attack.

Unfortunately, Kasei lacks the 5 SPL needed to use the Fire Spell...

Dyquis, seeing that its tentacles are severely weakened, takes this opportunity to fire off its Acid Ink. Leaning its head back, its previously underwater mouth emerges and spits out a jet of black goop that soon covers everyone in the room. Everyone takes 5 DMG, but its main target, Blank Fireside himself, gets the brunt of the attack and begins feeling decidedly ill...poisoned.

Denning, with staff in hand, rushes twords a tentacle((the forth one)) and launchs a powerful attack upon it.

Denning's strike rams into the fourth tentacle (16+8[Roll+AGI*]), and it too sinks into the pool.

Shada also charges up to the sixth tentacle, and swipes it apart with her two daggers (12+11[Roll+AGI*]). The last tentacle falters and falls, leaving the main body of Dyquis exposed and ready to be attacked.

Rose's Boomerang flies straight into the armor on Dyquis' back (4+7[Roll+AGI*] vs. 12), harmlessly bouncing off. But at least she has the right idea!

OOC: Oh, darn...Kasei, you just had to bring the bombs into this, didn't you! The one thing Draug and I could never figure out exactly how much damage it would do...well, let's see if it even hits first, I guess...

IC:
Kasei's bomb explodes on the back of the squid (6+12[Roll+AGI*]...darn it...), dealing (...um...okay, we'll just say - until a mod say otherwise -) 8 DMG to Dyquis.

Shada and Grenada also charge in. Shada's daggers hit home (9+11[Roll+AGI*]), as does Grenada's sword (12+9[Roll+AGI*]). Together, they deal 19 DMG to the beast.

Dyquis turns its attention to Kasei...and suddenly the mercenary realizes that the creature is falling towards him! The beast's head smashes through the marble flooring where Kasei stands, dealing a full 12 damage to him. Fortunately, he does not become confused. Unfortunately, all the bombs are soaked. ( )

Without warning, four of the squid's tentacles re-emerge from the water. After only two turns, the tentacles are fully healed and ready to fight again. As if things weren't bad enough, Arco's song finally wears off, leaving the group almost exactly where they started...
