Alex looked down as the body fell to the enraged river beneath them
He swiftly Jumped to the other side
"It's an easy one!" he yelled at the others to encourage them to jump

Shada also leaps across, easily arriving on the far platform. It doesn't even seem to be a challenge for the lithe Sheikah woman. Tayro approaches the edge, gulping as he looks over the side to the dangerous waters below. Swallowing his fear and listening to the words of Alex, he makes a running start and also jumps across.

It's halfway through the leap that he remembers that the Zora has actually spent time and energy learning how to jump with the utmost efficiency.

But still, he reaches the other side with room to spare. He collapses to the ground, simply glad to have survived the jump, and waits for the others to cross. If he could do it, certainly any of the battle-trained warriors could do the same.

Blank was hesitant to jump across the raging river below. Tayro, Shada, Kasei and Alex had made the leap seem simple, but Blank had a knack for tripping and falling at the most inopportune of moments. Realizing that there was no other way to go about the situation, the nomad managed to keep a stranglehold on his courage and sprint towards the ledge. He gave a quick shout as his heavier grunt body flew across the chasm, and he could swear that there an instant in which time stood still, with him simply levitating in midair.

OOC: What can I say? I guess I'm just a jerk... :D

IC: Grenada curses to himself silently, he knew saying his name was a horrible mistake, and though he watched the Hakiems get slayed promptly slayed, he took a mental note that Segnin wasn't there. Squinting, he turned to follow the group, not quite sure what to say to them. There wasn't really any explanation, and there could be no excuse. So he took his steps silently following them, head down, trailing the footsteps blindly until he reached the hole.

--I can't jump this guys, there's no way...--

He says telepathically, hoping someone who's still on this side can help, or someone can jump back across. He didn't want to fall into the chasm of death, that would suck, though he felt a couple of his companions wouldn't mind after his screw-up.

"Go back as far as you can and run," Rose says encouragingly. "Push off of the edge." She walks forward and shifts her weight into her legs. "I'll be ready to catch you." Rose hopes someone is behind her to grab hold of her just in case she is pulled forward by Grenada's weight.

Even after watching others successfully jump, Grenada can't convince himself that it would be safe or even a good idea.

--Sorry Rose, but no can do. I doubt I'll be able to jump this.--

He knows that Kasei wouldn't have any trouble pulling him up, he didn't weigh more than 35 pounds with his armor. He grabs the rope, takes a couple steps backwards, and with a running start charges toward the gap. Jumping from the edge as Rose suggested, he jumps, trying to be as majestic as he can, but while in mid-air, begins to freak. Waving his arms maniacally, his chest hits the edge, his arms up top until he slides down, and grips the edge with both hands.

--Now would be a good time to pull. Please...--

'Too easy.' Raven jogs slowly towards the edge getting his foot right on the edge of the platform and propels himself towards the opposing platform. Raven soars through the air confidently - just as would would expect of someone with such a name - and lands on bended knee while his cloak billows up behind him before slowly sinking to the ground. He stands up slowly to take advantage of all the eyes on him but that's where his problems begin.

Not realising how close to the edge he had landed, standing was a dangerous prospect as he stood he took a step back and found his foot supported by - nothing. He tried to move forward but his other foot was barely on the edge of the platform and he began falling. In a desperate attempt he reached out to grab something, anything to stop him from falling. His hand managed to grab hold of something and he retained his balance and took several steps away from the edge. He turned around and could see Shada next to the edge where he had almost fell looking somewhat shaken.

He walked over to Shada. 'Sorry, for grabbing your shoulder.' He said.
Shada turned round so fast she was almost a blur, she was looking at Raven in such a way that, if looks could kill, he would have been dead five times over. 'That was not my shoulder.' she seethed.
Looking sheepish at this moment; the only thing he could say was a whispered 'Sorry.'
Raven could almost feel the daggers that she was stabbing him with in her mind as she continued to glare at him. She then shoved him out the way and walked as far as the platform would allow her to get away from him. Leaving behind a guiltly feeling Raven, with a sore chest, from where her palm had impacted so heavily.

OOC: Red, all I ask is that you not make a habit of god-modding my characters. By which I mean don't do it more than once every few topics. Preferably not at all.

But since I get to hit you because of this one, I'll let it slide. Next time I'm calling Draug.

IC:
With the group having successfully crossed, Shada - still fuming - motions to the doorway on the far side of the platform. "Well, let's get going," she says, attempting to calm down. She fails miserably.

OOC: Sorry, Alpha. I just saw an opportunity to add some (risque) humour to proceedings. In my defense though, I believe I stay true to the character you created and wouldn't dream about make her do anything like; stabbing Raven in the neck and throwing his body in the raging waters below - and then setting fire to the body with a fireball. Although, I sense that if I interfere with your character again that could be a possability. So, I promise that I won't god-mod your characters anymore.

IC: Raven slopes along at the back of the group. To keep his distance from Shada's rage at him - but not so far back that he can be accused of holding the group up - hiding his face in the shadows the hood of the cloak provides. Hoping that he will get an opportunity to make it up to her.

OOC: I'm back, after many a day of being away. So what's happening. :P Nah, I'm kidding. I read all of what happened throughout the past 5 pages I missed. I'm all caught up. OK, a lot of this post will be past-tense, just so everyone knows.

IC:
Alf wrote:Shada grins from beneath her hood, and motions that she too is ready. 'Alright guys...let's go look for ourselves. We'll start in the kitchen.

'Just remember: act like you have someplace you need to be. Move at a hurried pace, and the Hakiems will probably let us pass without a second thought.' She turns and leads them all down the stairway.

On the floor below, dozens of Hakiems scurry around, trying to search every corner for the prisoners. One immediately turns to look at them all as they come downstairs, asking, "Did you see them upstairs?"

Shada immediately answers with a curt, "No, we did not. Keep looking." She pushes past the man, giving him the impression that she has orders to keep moving. The Hakiem merely nods in conformation and returns to the search. Shada leads them to the intersection and motions in the direction of the kitchen.
Nogare exhailed deeply. That was way too close. No one seemed to notice him. They continued on. Kasei continued to fight and argue with Dogura, Raven, and Grenada. But they were not going to be caught for it, so Nogare just ignored them.
After a while of Kasei arguing with the others, Alpha wrote:Shada leads them right up to the stairs, and is already walking down when Grenada's order comes through her ears. Not even turning around, she continues to walk as she mentally shouts, 'Grenada! What the heck are you doing!?!'

Upstairs, though, things are actually going quite well. Noticing the green band on the Deku's arm, one of the Hakiems chuckles as he moves to show his own black handkerchief. While Grenada is being recognized as equal to a L4 Hakiem, this one is L2.

Following the mercenary's gaze to the Gilded Swords, the man shakes his head. "Unfortunately," he mutters so that the other Hakiems can't overhear, "we can't take the weapons, even for this hunt. Master Karunik is enforcing the rule that these weapons are to be used only in the training room downstairs. Says that if we can't recapture those prisoners with our bare hands then we don't deserve to be Hakiems."

Lowering his own hood, he reveals a mess of blond hair and a youthful expression on his face. "Name's Segnin. You must be relatively new to the organization...and yet you're already commanding a bunch of initiates. The higher ups must have a lot of faith in your skills." He extends his hand towards the Deku, being exceptionally friendly.
Nogare held his breath during this time. Please don't catch us. He knew the statement would be useless. He was greatful that they didn't.
After a while of trekking through the hideout of the Haikems, MG wrote:Grenada was mortified. What was he supposed to do now, he wasn't sure what this guys rank was, though he looked young and new, he was higher than the initiates. It didn't help that he knew nothing of the Hakiems, their tendencies or the way they worked. He knew that this guy didn't leave when he ordered him to, he was probably a higher rank than this green. He cursed himself for his misstep, he shouldhave stayed with the group. He wanted to ask Shada what to do, but knew it would take too long, he didn't want to seem too hesitant. Reaching out, he pulls the long sleeve back to reveal his leafy, green hand and oblige the Hakiem.

"Hello Segnin, my name's..."

Do I use my own name? I know they don't like me from the battle, but that doesn't mean they know my name. If they do though...

"Grenada."

He releases his grip as he cringes on the inside, he couldn't have just said it, he wanted something else. Anything would be better than his real name. He knew it was time to get out of their.

"Anyway, I'll catch you later, don't think Zaboorak will be too happy if we don't find them soon."

He heads out and hopes Zaboorak was the name he was supposed to say. He places his rigth foot on the stair and begins his ascent.
Fool! If they find out about you, you'll get us all killed! Again, Nogare was ignored. He said no more.
Alpha wrote:With bodies in tow, the group ventures down towards whatever the stairs may lead...

The stairs are indeed wide, enough for five people to walk side by side, but these stairs wrap around a column. As a result, the room that the group comes to is actually directly beneath the one where Segnin had been searching.

The room is entirely earthen again, carved out from dirt and stone. Two caverns stretch out to the left and right, through which flows a long, rushing river. Though there is no way of proving it, the source of the flow is an eardrum beating crash out of sight down the right cavern. It sounds like a waterfall, but much louder, as if it is dropping from a greater height than most waterfalls do. One would most likely be correct in assuming that this waterfall is the same as the one from two floors above them, in the room where the group - minus Alex - had almost drowned.

The platform that the group arrives on is relatively high, standing a good twenty feet above the flowing river. About ten feet in front of the current landing is another platform, only this one is a mere foot above the crashing waters. Two large obelisks rise from this platform almost to the ceiling, but not quite. On each side of the obelisks is the symbol of the Hakiems Tribe, the crimson, slashed eye.

The jump looks easily attainable from this position. But one misstep, and any one of the group could plummet into the waters below. The speed of the river, mixed with the sharp-looking rocks beneath the surface that are visible even from this distance, means that such a drop would be fatal indeed.

Shada approaches the edge and throws her package, the body of a dead Hakiem, into the river.
Nogare remained qiuet. He wondered if these Haikems were really evil. Surely many of them were, but some may be assisting them against their will, and are going to die fighting with someone they disagree with.

But he refocused to what was happening. Jumped across after most of the others had gone. He made it, not gracefull, but made it over all the same. He got up, and looked for a wall to rest his back on again. He hadn't spoken for a while now, thus asking, "Is everyone here? Let's go." He felt again how awkward it was to have the sword at his side.

OOC: :D Yes! I'm all caught up! Haha!
