Nogare bared his teeth in fustration as he saw the beast turn it's attention away from him, attacking Grenada. As he ran to aid the Deku, Victor was then poisoned. Who should he help? A heartless Mercinary who has loved nothing but money his entire life? Or a friend, who is not as badly injured, but still wounded. What would Father want me to do? he asked himself. He quickly made his choice.

No matter what, the he who will be greatly needed before the end, Nogare concluded. He ran for Grenada, and quickly chanted the words to use Favour of the Goddesses. When the Deku was healed, he looked up at the beast, and grabbed the nearest rock, and threw it again at the beast, to get it's attention. To Grenada, he yelled, "Get away, Deku!"

'At last.' Raven says as the Kropberg becomes vunerable. His feet kick up a fine spray as he charges towards the Kropberg with determination and anger in his face; his dagger is held in an iron grip. As he plunges the dagger down a trail of droplets fly off of its tip as it heads for its target: The kropberg's right leg.

OOC:
Nogare: Grenada isn't heartless! XD Lol.

Alex: Only if you guys decide to remember what I said near the beginning of this fight...which, I must say, you're proving to be a very difficult task for you guys...

...I expected better of you all...which leads me to another question.....

Weien: Where are you? I trust you've already figured it out; it's not against the rules to post the answer, you know. :P

IC:
Alex's Elemental Burst flies forward, striking the Kroperg with the force of a whirlpool (6+10[Roll+SPI]). Surprisingly, though, the beast seems nearly unfazed. Even with its supposed weakness to water, the Kroperg takes only 2 DMG. Apparently, though the armor has been weakened, it is still of use to the boar.

Alex's boomerang is unable to repeat the actions of the Burst, and misses utterly, completely, and totally (15+3[Roll+AGI]). Fortunately, the Zora's Dodge Check fairs much better (16+3+3[Roll+INT+AGI]).

Finally damaged - even if it is only slightly - the Kroperg returns its gaze back to the Zora it had attacked earlier. Bursting forward, the beast lunges at Alex, but misses (4+9[Roll+AGI]).

Victor loses 3 HP to poison.

Nogare's Innate Check fails (5+7[Roll+INT]), and Grenada's health does not return. His Dodge Check also falters (2+7+3[Roll+INT+AGI] vs. 15).

Raven's strike comes nowhere close to the stampeding beast's leg (3+6[Roll+AGI]), and no further damage is done to the Kroperg.

Alex: 17 HP, 4 SPL
Victor: 35 HP, poisoned 2 turns

Kroperg: 198 HP, 9 AGI

OOC: Something about strategy, right? ^^
Weien: Where are you? I trust you've already figured it out; it's not against the rules to post the answer, you know.
Right here. Though I don't trust that I've figured it out... other than my fascination with the Kroperg Nose, as it sticks out seven feet, stinks, smokes, and is the monster's primary method of dehydration. Unfortunately, Arco has yet to succeed an INT-based check of any sort...

Personally, my concerns at the moment are:
-Play Will of Farore
-Throw another Arctic Seed at the legs
-Further examine/direct attack specifically at the Nose

And of course, you guys are welcome to help me with any of the items on that laundry list... XD
---------

IC: Arco wilts somewhat at being confounded in his attempt to gain insight regarding a Particular Kroperg Body Part. It takes a few moments before he un-slumps, at which point he seems to have resolved to transfer matters of intelligence into more capable hands and minds.

Presently, he leans against the wall, his eyes on the Kroperg. But whether he is watching it or simply browsing through his own memory is undetermined; his dead eyes do not betray his plan, other than perhaps the fact that he might not have one...

A memory. Childhood, servitude, slicing out strips of leather for binding hilts, in the mountain smithies. Cutting exact slabs of material out for the tailors and armorsmiths... exact. Very exact, or else the sword-hilt or jerkin will lack in quality; very exact, or Master Craftsman will punish. And... the key to exactness is to trim. Try to cut too little rather than too much; the former option is as forgiving as the latter is irreversible. Choose the more flexible option unless pressed to do otherwise...

Arco moves slightly, his mind decided on a next course of action. Some things one has many of, others are in short supply. And when his grayish hand reappears from reaching down at his hip, it holds an Arctic Seed--one of many, sitting in his pouch. You note that he did not reach for his hurdy-gurdy. ...There is only one of that, and it can only sing so much before growing hoarse...

A whir... you see Arco sweep forward, curl one arm around himself, and then twist sharply, the speed coming from a rapid hip-turn. His hand stretches forward and opens... and a small, cold twinkle flies in a low, flat line towards the Kroperg's legs.

The Arctic Seed makes a beeline for the Kroperg, smashing into the saturated fur that flops about near the boar's legs. With a hiss, the seed sends off a brief flash of light as another section of its body becomes covered in ice.

The Kroperg loses 1 AGI.

The beast now charges forward, flying straight towards Nogare again. But even though the Hylian's Dodge Check had not succeeded, he is still able to dive away from the Wild Charge and escape unharmed (5+8[Roll+AGI]).

Victor loses 3 HP to poison.

Victor: 32 HP, poisoned 1 turn

Kroperg: 198 HP, 8 AGI

OOC: Yeah! What do you mean heartless? He has one of those. It's not his fault that he doesn't use it...

IC: With a growl, the Deku gets up slowly, though thankful for Nogare's heal. He nods to the Vassal, but doesn't utter a word. He was just concentrating on the Pig-Demon. He knew that water had dampened it's armor before, and had a feeling it could do so again. He would bring this up if the problem arose yet again. Another thought occurred to him and he smiled. It was large and covered most of his tiny face. It never occurred to him that the others didn't know why he was happy, but he kept smiling. Grenada had been waiting for this exact moment, the protective shield had faded, and now was his best chance to attack. That was his role in this fight, he knew, and inevitable that's what he'd do. Taking his sword from his sheath slowly, the Deku compressed his body into what was almost a spring. Holding there, he smiles, eyes wide and also darkened until he uncoils flinging his tiny body at a forty-five degree angle toward the Kroperg's face. Bringing his sword from it's position behind him, he does a half-thrust, half-slash toward it's right eye. It's almost as if he's trying to bludgeon the beast.

As Grenada's blade comes straight in towards the Kroperg's eyeball the boar moves aside and it misses by mere inches (13+5[Roll+AGI]).

OOC: By the way, MG; I think the Kroperg's armor/fur will from now on always be dampened unless its "Needle Mail" is active, since the room is itself still wet and a big "mist fills the air" and all of that. Like, the Kroperg wet right now, which is why the Arctic Seeds are slowing it down...

Otherwise I think it'd be invulnerable :D.

OOC: Damn it, Alpha, why did you have to make Kroperg so hard? :D

IC:
"Damn that pig!" Rose shouts. She is really angry, but no one needed to point that out. She runs around it and tries to bring her sword down upon the giant nose. It was a hard target to miss, unless the target was moving very quickly. Hopefully, Rose would be faster.

OOC: :) 1% HP down, 99% to go!!!( :( we're doomed, right?)
IC:Alex had a hard time realizing that this was only the begginning of the fight.
'I was barely able to hit it' he thought I used my strongest element'
He knew he wouldn't be able to cast a spell under thosed conditions, so all he had now was his wit and his average weapons...and...
'The artic seeds!' he still had a good bunch of them, and after all this time had proven to be quite reliable (OOC: Like SOMEONE had planned using them the whole time :P )
'If that demon it's still wet, it's only matter of time before it's completly vulnerable'...
A small twinkle of light flew through the air, as swift as anyone was able to see...

OOC: ...well, let's see HNS, maybe because it's the boss?

Unlike most games, the bosses actually get harder as my tale goes along.

IC:
Rose's blade finds itself in the same situation as Grenada's had mere moments ago. The Kroperg blows past the Ranger (10+4[Roll+AGI]) without taking any damage whatsoever.

Alex's seed flashes bright as it impacts against the boar's fur, and now a portion of the fur on its back becomes instantly covered with ice. With the extra weight added to it, the Kroperg becomes a bit slower again.

The Kroperg loses 1 AGI.

Kroperg: 198 HP, 7 AGI

OOC: Bosses are supposed to get harder!

IC:
Rose was really starting to wish she had kept some seeds for herself. But with the pig slowing down, she figures she has a much better chance of hitting it now. So moves in for another slash at the snout.

OOC: Yeah, but they never do. I mean, seriously, Ganon's a piece of cake in OoT...and WW...and the Oracle series...

Although, I have to admit, Majora's Mask has got to be one of the toughest bosses I've ever faced. And that's one of the reasons I like him so much.

IC:
Rose's attack is greatly in vain (1+4[Roll+AGI]), and she fails to come even close to the Kroperg. Shada, seeing her friend's reluctance, pulls out a few of her own seeds and tosses a bag of them to Rose. Then she slings one of her own at the boar, which, upon impact, slow it down even further.

The Kroperg loses 1 AGI.

The beast charges forward, ramming straight into Dogura (20+6[Roll+AGI]) and dealing 15 DMG. Victor loses 3 HP to poison, but feels it slowly slipping away.

Dogura: 27 HP
Victor: 29 HP

Kroperg: 198 HP, 6 AGI

OOC: I swear, the dice roller doesn't like us. Image

IC:
"Thanks," Rose says, not wasting any more energy on talking. She throws a seed at the Kroperg herself. She has never been too good at throwing anything; she did hit more than she missed, but it was a very narrow margin. But the pig was huge, so she thought her chances of hitting it was pretty good.

Not only does Rose have a fair chance of hitting a rather large target, thus far the seeds have seemed to be magically drawn to the Kroperg. So it is no surprise when the Arctic Seed crashes into the pig's side and slows it down even further.

Kroperg: 198 HP, 5 AGI
