It was twilight.There is a cool breeze whipping around the place.The grass calmly moved in the wind.The setting sun was simply beautiful,being very large and the color of flaming bronze.The sky has turned a mild violet due to the setting sun.And...a strange thing is floating!

It wore a dark-red cloak,and his face was hidden under a hood.Its feet and hands were covered by dark grey boots,and it was uttering strange words,floating in midair with his legs crossed and arms strecthed out,index and middle fingers pointed at the sky while the others were curled.

The creature suddenly snapped out of his trance,and fell to the ground safely on his feet.He roared,"Power Staff!".A bright light appeared in the sky,and a green-striped light plum-colored walking staff fell out of it before the light vanished.

"What do ye want?"The creature said.It was now clear that he was male,and his face--it was green,scaly,and his eyes were yellow,and his razor-sharp teeth and fangs were yellowish.

"I could ask you the same thing," Alpha replied. He looked onto the creature with a mixture of awe and fear. "And what are you?"

Darilan freezes when the thing speaks to him. He is too weak to fight it, but he will not surrender himself to this evil creature's desire. It is evil, he supposes. Right now he wishes he is ten times stronger. Trying not to stammer, he says, "I want to walk through Hyrule..."

What is this thing? Is it some sort of demon? And why is it asking what he wants? He gets the idea that it wishes to grant him what he wants for a price he will not pay.

Quick, Darilan! Think! He wants you to say something like, 'I want fame and money.' What can you say? "Ah, I want to walk through Hyrule care-free... and, and without a worry in my mind."

Grenada turns as he hears 'What do ye want?'. The first thing he notices is the Green scaly face, and yellow teeth. Those could be described quite accurately as scurvy. He chances a smile.

"You know, you could give me rupees... and leave..."

Another smile, which slowly fades. He isn't really sure what the monstrosities motives are. He falls back and is standing near Darilan. He is usually proud of how he hides his emotions, but he couldn't help but show a little fear. A gulp, and he tries to whisper to the Scribe, but no words come out.

A dim shadow looms over Grenada from behind.

"--..........," says an open-mouthed Arco, moving aside so as not to shroud the Deku Scrub in darkness. He leans his head to the right side, peering at the floating being.

Looks like a dragon-thing. Yet humanoid--somewhat of an Anthro-thing, then? And tamed. Dad might think so, but everyone here...

Arco deals out a sidelong glance to each of the nearby adventurers, observing the...

Battle faces? Defensive stances? Tensed poses?

...responses and wondering if he should act accordingly.

"Yes,well then...I am not what you see...I was a handsome young nobleman from my country,the land of Arusia,but ever since a great war,this is what I have become..."the creature said sadly.He shakes his head,summons an ancient-looking,worn-out book that read:"Book of Arusia;From Glorious Rise to Dreadful Fall".He flips it open,and said,"Well...do ye all wish to know how this happened to me,the sole survivor of the Arusian-Tangean War?".

"The Arusian-Tangean War?" Alpha asks. 'Interesting...I haven't heard of that one in a while. And he's the sole survivor? This could be enlightening...' He nods. "I'd be happy to listen to your tale." But he keeps his hand on his staff, just in case.

Julian walks throught the fields when his eye catches a crowd looking at a strange creature. He walks toward the crowd, attempting to get a nice view of the strange green creature. 'Arusian Tangean war' Julian thought. "I too would like to hear about this unknown war," Julian says as he leans his weight on his staff.

As Denning strolls by he spys the creature.
This creature. The one from the cave?
I dont see Leon, so maby its not.
"Grettings, um, what is your name?"

"Yess...here goes..."the monster said,flicking his tongue.He flipped the pages of the book,and hissed,"The War started twenty-five years after the Demon War.The Imperial Alliance of the Arusians,Beramites,Territes and Orionians was re-established.However,as Tangea was the nation that started the Demon War,the Imperial Alliance had banished it from our Alliance.The Golden Age of Phareon--the land of swords and magic we lived in--began,but it would not last.".

"The Golden Age ended after a short twenty-five years.When Tangea sweared they would gain revenge on the Imperial Alliance for taking over most of their territory and then casting them out of the Alliance,they weren't kidding.The Tangeans invaded Dermos,a hilly,neutral land that became one of the main battlefields during the Demon War,and the Dermian tribals were no match for the superior Tangeans.".

"The Imperial Alliance were shocked at this action,and promised that if the Tangeans do not withdraw their troops from Dermos in two weeks' time,they will suffer the consquences.However,the Tangeans ignored it.Dermos fell in the next two days,and Terria declared war on Tangea shortly after the two weeks were up.However,after fierce battles and harsh campaigns in the Ruan Desert,the majority of the Territe Army was defeated at the Battle of Trema Valley.".

"The Terrians' capital,Terrion,was besieged a few weeks later.Its Royal Guard and best troops fiercely defended the Imperial Palace after the town fell,but their valiant efforts were of no use but for delaying the inevitable.The Palace was taken a month later,and the lucky few that escaped a horrible fate fled to the Orionians.".

"The Orionians looked like they were being destroyed by the Tangeans,but during a miracle in the Battle of the Gu Swamp,they defeated the Tangeans,and pushed the enemy out of the borders of Orinio after three months of bloody battles and difficult campaigns.Tangea,furious at their defeat and loss of twelve forts to the Orionians,attacked the Beramites.".

"The Beramites fought hard,but in the end were overwhelmed as well.Finally,Arusia stepped in,fighting as the last member of the Imperial Alliance participating in the war as the Orionians withdrew after suffering massive casualties.We fought hard,and it seemed to be a stalemate until the Tangeans released the beasts of the Shadow World.But at the bleakest hour,our alchemists used a deadly new potion that annihalated the Tangeans.But it also was a double-edged sword--almost all of Arusia's population was decimated.".

"And the survivors were...mutated like me.I am the sole survivor...in Hyrule.The other mutants now walk the wastelands of Phareon.That is the story of the Arusian-Tangean War,or at least it was called that by us surviving Arusians--the Orionians dubbed it the "Chaos War".".

He breathed deeply,and waits for a response.

"I am Omegaurus IV..."he answers Denning.

His fear is gone for he is safe, but he feels sorry. He is sorry for what he thought of this deformed man. "How... horrid... What a horrid thing to have happen to you. My mind's changed. I don't want to go for a carefree walk through Hyrule; I want to help you."

"I thank ye for yer concern,but what has been done in the past cannot be undone,"the creature sadly."And after what was the Demon War,we thought there would be no more catasthropes in Phareon...no more betrayal...no more mutation magic...no more evil demons...only to be proven ever so wrong.".He looks at everyone around him--Darilan,Julian,Arco,Grenada,Denning,Alpha--and says,"You people are very lucky--no such war has taken place in Hyrule,correct?".

Grenada listens to the man's story, and while he doesn't want to believe it, you can't make something like that up. All the terms are unfamiliar, and he doesn't really understand what happened to this man. A confused look gleams across his face, and is slowly replaced by a cold stare. What is he thinking, Grenada tries to boil out of him wordlessly. He gives up, and decides to respond to the guy.

"Well, I guess not. But that's what we're here for. To make sure Hyrule stays safe for it's denizens."

Omegaurus looks around at the people around him.A very thin Sheikah,a short but menacing Deku,another Shiekah who looked like a scribe,yet another Sheikah who had a mark,a Zora and a Shikah Cleric.He grumbles,

"The Orionians would not accept us into their territory.However,they were right--we were slowly losing our Arusian minds,we had been mutated,and we are becoming more and more like horrible,cannibalist barbarians.I looked at their largest city and capital,Azimelii,and dream about our old capital city,Seuria,being as large,richly populated and magnificent as it ages ago.Now,all that is left of Seuria is a pile of irrepairable ruins with a massive cemetery right next to it.".

He flips the book,and drops it,revealing a page which read:'Azimelii and Seuria:The Same things and the Differences".

On it,there was a picture of a city labeled "Azimelii",while the other one is nearly identical and labeled "Seuria".Azimelii was shaped like a huge circular tower-city,made entirely of some yellowish material.Each "floor" was made of an "ring" that circles the bottom of the walls above it,littered with town squares,inns,cottages,vegetation,docks,and fountains while being surrounded by deep,crystal-clear blue water.

It later turns out that the water was coming out from four marble statues of giant wyverns on the highest level of the city,positioned at the Northwest,Northeast,Southwest and Southeast,with the water pouring out of them like waterfalls,and that holes in the structure allowed to the water to flow into the lower levels.On the highest level,there was also one island,on which is a massive blue-roofed white castle with stained glass windows.

The picture of Seuria was identical to the picture of Azimelii,but it was green,the castle red-roofed and yellowish,and the wyvern statues are gargoyle statues.The structure was also slightly shorter than Azimelii.

Alpha listens to the creature's story, feeling a wave of pity wash over him. "I...I'm sorry for what has happened to you. I have only returned to Hyrule recently. I know much of wars and fighting..." he trails off, as his own past threatens to overwhelm him, not for the first time. He looks at Omegaurus' pictures, studying them closely, using them to occupy his mind and get it off his past. "Interesting pictures," he comments. "Why is the architecture so similar?"
