I think Gerudos can go um... do their business with human and Hylian males.  All the aleals (sp?) in the Gerudo's sex cells are dominat over thos of the father, resulting in someone who is basically a pure-bred Gerudo.  Cause there was that one gossip stone that suggested that Gerudos come whoring around at Hyrule.

They probably die because they grow old.  I think they can leave the forest.  During the end credits, you see Mido out of Kokiri Forest, and Saria was in the Sacred Realm.
