Alexander raises his glass to his lips and takes a long, drawn out drink of his ale--stopping every few seconds to actually drink what he gets in his mouth.
He turned his feline like eye toward the Sheikah. That old creeping feeling was starting to take hold on him again...that fright which just prompted him to put his side to the wall, and duck down small enough to disappear. Biting the glass a second relieved him of this feeling, and he was able to continue his watching.
After all, there's no way he could actually get away with anything here--same as it would do you no good, Zander. Besides...you aren't going to have to do anything you would get lost in--even less that they wouldn't ask first.
Studying the fellow's hands and forearms a second, Alexander's eyes seem to light up. A bard! Interesting...wonder if he'd perform any songs? Just as soon as he'd thought that, the spark in the green eyes died as if snuffed, and he slightly shook his head to himself.
Realizing that he hadn't even sipped his ale for more than a few minutes, he hurridly gulped down a mouthful and plopped his glass on the table before it got to looking that it had become glued to his face.
Just as quickly, he fished an old torn paper out of his pocket and read over it a second--the note that had sent him on the mission which nearly costed his life. Alexander grimaces distastefully, and begins fiddling with the paper--bending it and folding it and bending it again.
Now that he had something else to do, he could continue watching and not feel TOO guilty about it.

"Yes, I pity him, Denning, he's a cleric. I wonder what caused this? He doesn't seem like he's supposed to drink so much wine. I'll go talk to him. Be right back..."
Grenada looks up at Julian, and knew he'd feel guilty if he didn't, so he hopped down from the seat. He strolled casually over to Denning's table.
"Damn high chairs... Can't get in 'em in time for anything."
Grenada mumbled to himself as he took about seven seconds to get into the chair. Though soon he was standing, head above the table about 8 inches. He soon addresses the cleric.
"Hey Denning, what brings you here?"

Alpha walked into the bar for his first visit since he had arrived back in Hyrule. 'Nice place they've got here...quite a few dark corners one can sit in. Just the way I like it.' His crimson eyes scanned over the crowd that had gathered. A few Deku, some Hylians, and even a Zora sat at the bar. He spotted Arco in the corner, but he seemed interested in another person that sat on the other side of the bar. 'Hmmm, wonder who that guy is?' He decided not to bother Arco for now, so he went to the bar. "Lon Lon Milk, please." He got his drink and walked back to lean up on the wall behind where Arco sat. He took a sip of his drink, remembering the few times he had had it as a child.

Back somewhat slouched without leaning on the chair, like the sort of sine-wave spine favored by chiropractors who are bored or going out of business or both, Arco unfolds his arms and picks up the glass and looks at it quizzically, as if it had just spoke to him.
Shaking it with a bit of a tinkle inkle, the Bard hides the lower part of his face with its maw once again, blinking at rhythmic intervals--perhaps determined by the breathing of his nose, flaring mechanically throughout the slow draught. All the while, the blinking pupils studied the slit ones, grey on green ones, blinking ones watching the ones with the slight catlike incandescence.
Black, but artful background
The glass comes back down. Swilling a half-mouthful of drink from one cheek to the other, Arco slides his watch from the other's head to... elsewhere.
Oddly-fitted clothes?
Content of his shelved-away observations, he scans the perimeter of the room, landing his sights on the new Sheikah.
A new adventurer in the lands? Or one who was here before any of us came? It seems...

Alpha keeps sipping at his milk as he studies everyone that has entered the bar. He had realized a long time ago that it is always important to know one's friends, along with one's foes. He hopes that no one here is in that latter class. If they are, they will surely regret it.
Eventually his crimson eyes return to Arco, who has broken off the staring contest with that other man and now looks in Alpha's direction. Alpha decides that now would be an excellent chance to officially introduce himself to his fellow Sheikah. He has only recently returned to Hyrule, and carries with him a need to make a few strong friends. And from what Alpha has heard, Arco is one of the most dependent and well-respected people around.
He uses the shoulder he has propped against the darkened wall to push himself back upright. He walks up to Arco's table, black cloak moving along with his legs and arms. His hand reaches out from within his cloak as he reaches his table. "Greetings. You are Arco, correct? My name is Alpha."

Seeing the small meetting of Sheikah, Denning slowly approches."Hello Arco, and, who are you? I can see your a sheikah. I am Denning Cleric of Nayru. Most holy Sheikah of Hyrule. I am an adventurer, like yourself, tell me, which goddess do you worship?"

Alpha turns to face Denning. "Greetings, my friend. I am called Alpha, and have only recently returned to Hyrule. You are a cleric? I hope to one day be a mage, personally." He chuckles as he searches his mind for a second. 'Which goddess...?' He smiles. "I worship all of the great goddesses, Denning, though I feel that I have been aided throughout my life by Farore the most. The courage she gives me has saved my life countless times."

Watching Denning head over to the two Shiekah on the far side, Grenada heads back up to the bar. Approaching his previous spot by Julian, he calls out.
"He was just trying to clear his head. It seemed to work pretty good. He's over talking to Arco, and some other Sheikah."
He motions toward the three, before asking Julian,
"What brings you here?"
He turns to the barkeep, and orders another drink while waiting for Julian's reply.

" Nothing really, I just needed a rest from all of the traveling I have done and I needed to have a little fun." Julian nocks on the bar table and asks for another drink of milk. "How about you, what brings you here?"

By now, Arco makes no effort to hide his intent to watch. Turning his body as to align his frame better, he rivets his gaze on the approaching adventurer. Under his loose-fitting clothes, Arco prickles, feeling... feeling...
So many eyes, so many watchers. But this man's eyes, layered and deep...
The approaching Sheikah commanded attention, at this moment. And, by habit as well as interest, the Bard can only oblige.
Such a strong wind from him. How old must he be? Perhaps...
Mind away from his body, it takes Arco a minute to find his way to being a sentient being again. His chair scoots out slightly, and he looks up at the other Sheikah. Time passes. Alpha's question is considered.
"Yes," replies Arco. Then, literally remembering his manners, he pushes his chair out further, stands, and completes the handshake. "Greetings," he says. "Alpha," considers the grey eyes. Then...
Someone else's eyes are here with us...
Turning his head and stepping back a half-pace to give Alpha some personal space and restore his own, Arco allows his dull glare wash over Denning--but not before giving the tired-looking Scribe in the corner a glance first.
"Hello, Denning," starts Arco, though his tone of voice indicates that he doesn't have much else left to say. It was the mindscape that needed to be traveled.
'Most Holy Sheikah of Hyrule'? Must every man be first out of the rest?
A fretful sheen then enters the Bard's eyes. Goddess? Which goddess do I worship? Rather than responding right away, he waits to see what Alpha says, but almost all but misses the Scholar's affiliation when he hears that...
He has only just returned to Hyrule? Where was he, then? But that question, like others stored in the hiatus region of his mind, would have to wait.
Arco digs himself out of the mind-world once again and answers Denning, with: "......." --silence. His eyes speak his uncertainty for him, sinking into a darker grey than before.
I don't know. We didn't talk much about the Goddesses back then...
OOC: And from what Alpha has heard, Arco is one of the most dependent and well-respected people around.
Only because even a fool will be considered wise if he keeps his mouth shut! *laughs* Good ol' Solomon. Handy even for role-play.

Alpha waits for Arco to speak, then laughs as something becomes apparent. “Not much of a talker, is he Denning? Can’t really blame him; being around all these people is a quite unnerving for myself. Fortunately I have a great deal of experience in acting…” his voice trails off, and he tries to cover it with a chuckle. But the laughter fades away just as quickly as his voice. He’s just reminded himself of his former ‘employer’, and, as always, it makes his flesh tingle in disgust. After a few moments, he finds his voice again, but it is much quieter and more subdued than before. “But enough about that,” he mutters softly. Even a blind man could have easily seen Alpha’s discomfort at their current topic.
Alpha looks up into Arco’s eyes. ‘They are full of questions,’ he thinks. It makes him feel uneasy at first, but then he realizes that he’s lived almost his entire life with enough questions to fill Death Mountain—at least a dozen times over. Still, he hopes that Arco doesn’t expect him to answer many questions. ‘Certainly, some of my secrets will be revealed in the time that I am here, but…’ his train of thought is lost for a moment, ‘…but I sincerely hope that my greatest mysteries remain unknown.’ He unconsciously starts to lift his hand up to where his scar lies on his face, but then realizes it and forces it back to his side.
OOC:
Only because even a fool will be considered wise if he keeps his mouth shut!
Also, Weien, there is the matter of a certain "Best RPer of the Month" award I see you won in June...

Most holy Sheikah? Why did I say that? Must of had too much wine. Perhaps I should lie down. Wait. Grenda, what fool requires pay for help. How can I punish him. Alert the Gerudos?
"I hear another Sheikah has become an adventurer. I forget his name, I belive he is a grunt."

Alpha raises his glass of milk back to his lips, continuing to try and hide his discomfort at their previous subject. Finally, Denning comes to save him with a new topic.
"Yes, I've seen this Sheikah around. He keeps asking everyone if they know where he can find a dark robed Sheikah with the Sheikah symbol on his back. I'm starting to wonder if he's talking about me." Another confused look comes over his face, and he takes another quick sip. "Can't imagine why, though. It's possible that I've met him before, but I seriously have no idea as to where or when said meeting would have happened." Alpha sighs. "He hasn't even joined the Traveler's Hostel, so there's no telling who he could be..."
OOC: Malciore, if you read this, then ( hint-hint) you should put up your profile in the Traveler's Hostel. One, it's an easy way to keep up with your info and stuff, and two, it gives you a couple more rupees!
