bottle locations

Throughout the Great Sea there are four bottles waiting to be found that could aid Link in his quest. These bottles can be used to hold many different items, such as Fairies, Spring Water, Potions, and others. Listed below are the locations of the four bottles and descriptions on how exactly to obtain each one. To help in the specific location, you may want to consult our reference map of the Great Sea to decipher what the grid location is.

Bottle #1
The first bottle in the game you can get is on Dragon Roost Island (F2). After helping Medli reach the upper ledge leading to the caverns of the island, she tosses you a bottle which you can use to follow her. This bottle is really sort of automatic, and no real effort is needed to get it.

Bottle #2
Another bottle you can find can be obtained after you get the capability to carry bombs. The mailboxes will start dancing and inside will be letter from Beedle detailing a special sale at his Boat Shop circling Rock Spire Island (B3). At this particular shop Link can buy a Bottle for 500 Rupees.

Bottle #3
This particular bottle requires some stealth to obtain it. After the events of Forsaken Fortress when Link successfully defeats the Helmaroc King and saves his sister, the richest family on Windfall Island (D2) suddenly becomes destitute. The daughter, Mila, will now be working at Zunari's shop. At night, when Zunari is away, Mila will be sneaking around outside the shop. Have Link talk to her, then walk away and she will sneak off. Follow her, without being seen all the way around the island and back to the shop. There you'll see Mila attempting to open Zunari's safe. Stop her in the act and in the following conversation act all heroic and lawful. She'll renounce her criminal ways and give you a Bottle as a reward for helping her.

Bottle #4
The last bottle can be found off of Bomb Island (F5). Off of the island there is a submarine with a raft attached to it. Sail out to the raft, kill the enemies on it, and a chest will appear with a Bottle inside as your reward.
