zelda vi: majora's mask
items

In Majora's Mask, Link has an array of items to collect, along with some old items from Ocarina of Time. Listed below are the returning items in the game, and the new items which have a description and, if applicable, a picture.

Returning Items (for OoT)

Moon Tear The Moon Tear is an item that can only be found after looking at the top of the Clock Tower with the Telescope of the Astral Observatory. You can use it to trade with the Deku Scrub of Clocktown for his Deku Flower.

Pictograph The Pictograph is a camera that can be used to win the Pictograph Contest in the Southern Swamp. You can get the Pictograph by entering the contest. Only a picture of the Deku King will be a winner. You can also get Rupees from the man that runs the contest if you show him a picture of his son inside the Swamp. Who his son is, though, you'll have to guess for yourself.

Powder Keg The Powder Keg is the largest bomb known to man... well, Gorons. Because it is so big, Link can only buy and use it as Goron Link. To be able to purchase this behemoth weapon you must first bring spring to the mountains, and then go to the Powder Keg Instructor who lives in a cave near Goron Village. He'll have you carry a bomb to the entrance of the Goron Races (in the islands area) and destroy the boulder there. Go back to see him and he'll allow you to carry Powder Kegs in your inventory and give you a free one. You can buy more of them in the future in the Clocktown Bomb Shop. Of course, there are really only two places in the game you need the Kegs, one to open the entrance to Romani Ranch on the First and Second Days and to flood the main room of Ikana Castle with sunlight.

Mushroom The Mushroom can be found in the swamp using the Mask of Scents and can be given to Koume in her Potion Shop in the Southern Swamp so she'll start selling Blue Potion.

Chateau Romani Chateau Romani is the famous magical milk produced by the special cows of Romani Ranch. Because it is of such high quality it costs 100 Rupees, 80 more than normal milk. Chateau Romani's secret is that it fills your magic meter all the way and makes it flash blue for an extended period of time, in essence unlimited magic! However, you can only buy this special milk from the Milk Bar if you have the Romani Mask.

Title Deeds The Title Deeds are used as part of a mini-trade sequence in which you can acquire a launch pad to reach a heart piece. At any point you may end the sequence by giving a deed to the "???" hand in the Stock Pot Inn toilet at midnight. The sequence follows:

  1. Land Title Deed- You can acquire this by getting a Moon Tear (see above) and trading it with the Deku Scrub in Clocktown. Use the launch pad to get a Heart Piece on the Clock Tower.
  2. Swamp Title Deed- As normal Link talk to the Deku Scrub on the Boat Cruise platform. He'll talk about the "proper connections" and you can give him the Land Title Deed. In return you get the Swamp Title Deed. You can use your new launch pad to reach the Heart Piece on top of the Boat Cruise building.
  3. Mountain Title Deed- As a Deku Scrub, talk to the Deku Scrub in the Goron Village area and you can trade the Swamp Title Deed for the Mountain one. Then, you can use the launch pad to reach a Heart Piece on the cliff above.
  4. Ocean Title Deed- In Lulu's Room of Zora Hall is a lone Deku Scrub. You'll need to enter the room as Mikau. Talk to the Scrub as a Goron and you can trade the Mountain Title Deed for the Ocean one. Then, use the launch pad to reach the Heart Piece in a nook in the wall.
  5. Canyon Title Deed- Head over to Ikana Canyon and follow the river past Sakon's cave and you'll come upon the last Deku Scrub. As Zora Link, talk to him and trade him the Ocean Title Deed for a sweet 200 Rupees. Then, use your new launch pad to reach the Heart Piece across the Canyon.
