Walkthrough — XI. Return to the Sacred Grove

After exiting Snowpeak Manor, warp to northern Faron Woods and head to where you hopped around to get to the Sacred Grove. There you’ll run into Rusl, who will give you a gold Cucco to get to the Sacred Grove (he’s clearly not aware you’ve been there before!). Use the Cucco to glide from one ledge to another and eventually past the spinning wooden contraptions (you’ll need to use the Boomerang to manipulate them into the correct orientation) and into the Sacred Grove.

Here you’ll once again encounter the Skullkid, who wishes to play another game. This round is much like the previous, but this time you don’t specifically see the Skullkid, or where he goes. Rather, look for the light of his lantern when peering through a doorway to see which one to take. Eventually you’ll corner the Skullkid in a large courtyard and be forced to do battle with him and his puppet hordes. Use the bow to strike when possible, and after a few hits he’ll thank you for the fun time and flee, whilst opening the way to the ruins of the Temple of Time for you.

Run back to the Pedestal of Time, where you pulled the legendary blade, and do as you would to put it back in Ocarina of Time. You will shove the sword into the pedestal, and a statue will disappear from the front of a door on the west side of the courtyard where you completed that puzzle with the statues. Run up to the door and enter through it. While it looks like you would just go through the other side of the door, the same as running around it, when you open it, you will see a black and white motif appear.

Following the writing on the door (“Time Door”), you are now standing in the Temple of Time. Nostalgic music fills the sacred place, and you will have to proceed to the far side of the room, and shove your sword in a massive blast from the past, the whole and original Pedestal of Time. A transparent magical staircase will reveal itself, opening the way to the rest of the Temple. Also, Ooccoo will come whizzing by you, and up the stairs. Turns out, she's been waiting for this for a long time!

Enter the Temple of Time proper.
