Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess
Walkthrough — XII. Temple of Time

Once inside the Temple proper head forward to the gold door (past the bell, Tower of the Gods, anyone?) to get a tip from Midna. Switch to Wolf form and use your senses to spot the missing statue. You'll need to find one and put it there to open the door. So, switch back to human form and grab the little statuary piece behind you and put it on the button across the stairs from it to raise a platform. Climb up there and approach the stairs on the south wall to find Ooccoo and Ooccoo Jr. heading the same way as you (“to get home”… hrm). Round to the other side of the north half to find two unlit torches. Light them for a chest with a small key. Go open the north door and go through it.

In the next room you'll spot a spider and a button on the floor. Deal with the spider and pick up one of the large red pots to place on the button and open the south and west gates. Run through the south gate and grab some arrows from the small chest. Then head west and take out the spider. Use your bow them (once past the first west gate) to smash the pot and close the first west gate and open the second. Continue west up the stairs and dispatch many Lizalfos and the Armos statue. Once all those enemies are defeated a chest with the Dungeon Map will appear. Collect the map and use the two little statues on the ledge to weight the buttons next to the gate to open it. Head through the opened gate and to the door.

In that pen you see in this huge room there appears to be a herd of spider livestock. All creepiness aside, dispatch the many Lizalfos in this room and head up the stairs. Use the Spinner on the wall rail to cross the gap and go to the central area in the middle. Push the outcropping in the pillar to lower yourself into the spider pen. These things are clearly livestock, as they refuse to fight you, but nonetheless slaughter them all to deactivate the electric field on the pen. Grab the small statue and put it next to the pillar's control outcropping. Raise the pillar and carry the statue to the button on the floor in front of the north door. Find the other statue on the Trap track and do the same to that.

Head up the raised ledge and through the north door, which will lock behind you. Dispatch the two Armos statues and grab the small key from the chest. Return to the last room and go through the locked south door.

In here use the crystal switch to open the doors and pass to the east end of the room by shooting arrows through the holes in the fences to get at the switch. Pass down the hallway to the next room and do the same to get to the south end of this room. Be especially careful of the Dinolfos who are heavily armored and are best defeated with either the Mortal Draw skill (if you have it) or waiting until it attacks with its tail and striking then.

In the next room defeat the spider herd and head up the stairs to the scales. Navigate them by tossing the statues in between each. On the other side, use the Claw to get to the little statue hanging out on the ledge under the target. Grab that one and use it on the scales to get them in one position or another. Either way, leave it on the scales and pass through the south door.

Here avoid all the traps and the Beamos and go west to the second half of the room. Dispatch the Lizalfos and run through the traps to grab the small key from the chest in the south part of this area, then use the little statue in the north to weigh down the button and open the north door. Head through there.

In this room, deal with the spider herd and the two Armos statues and grab the purple rupee from the chest. Head through the gate that opens and through the door there. In the next room, prepare to face your first Iron Knuckle!

MINI-BOSS: Iron Knuckle

This guy is very easy once you get your pattern down, though it doesn't hurt to know a few moves. Either way, get your sword and shield up and wait for him to strike, and his sword comes down, jump to the left and strike a few times. Rinse and repeat until his armor all falls off to reveal the soldier inside. This guy is very susceptible to some the skill that involves rolling behind the guy and striking him the back, so do that a few times and the battle is won. Walk toward the gate for it to open. Inside the chest is a new item, the Dominion Rod.
Use the Rod to take control of the large statue (I bet you know where it's going, eh?) above the chest that the Rod was resting in. It'll follow your movements exactly, albeit from a distance, so maneuver him under the bell towards the door so it gets transported out. Follow by going through the door. In the next room the statue will appear from the bell. Take control of it and move it forward to the gate. Swing the Rod (B button) and the statue will follow suit and smash open the gate. Take it south over to the ledge and park it right in front of the ledge. Leave a pot on the button to lower the ledge and follow the statue onto it. Smash the pot with an arrow to raise the ledge and the two of you can continue on your way southward.

Down the stairs and you'll come to an electric gate. Maneuver the statue forward so the statue steps on the button past the gate (it can walk right through the field) so that it deactivates the electricity. Cross where the gate would be and take control of the statue to begin indiscriminately roughing up the place. Shortly you'll discover this statue is your new best friend. Smash through the rolling traps, the Lizalfos and then down the stairs to take out the Beamos and various Traps circling the room. Drop the statue for a moment and grab one of the little statues with the Rod to pull it off the pillar. Pick it up and leave next to the button that the Beamos was on top of (which lowers the ledge in the south half of the room). Position the big statue on the ledge and then use the little statue on the button to raise the ledge so you can then move the statue under the bell and transport it to the next room. Head north through the door to follow suit to the Scale Room.

The objective of this room to use the scales as bridge to get the statue to the bell at the bottom of the stairs. First things first, our business involves a door to the west. So, pile on some weight on either scale so that you can reach the little pillars on either side of the scale plates. Climb up on that and use the Claw to hit the target on the ceiling and reach the ledge above. From there, ride the rail on the wall around the circumference of the room to the east door. Go through.

In this next room first dispatch the two Helmasaurs and the Armos statue and use the Claw to get on the ledge above. There are four weighted buttons here that need to be pressed down by someone other than Link, so use the two little statues found above here for two of the buttons, then use the Claw to grab the two Helmasaur helms on the ground below and bring them up to you so you can use them on the other two buttons. That done, jump down and open the chest for the Big Key. Return to the Scale Room.

Now, hop down and take care of the herd below. Then, grab the little statue on the ledge with the Claw-shot target, as well the three on the ledge next to the right scale. To get the big guy to the bell, first you need to get him onto the left scale, then weigh down the right so much that it can be moved to that one. Then, weigh down the left enough so that the right is lever with the ledge with the top of the stairs so you can get the big guy down the stairs to the bell. When that's done, head east through the door.

In the next room, to collect the big guy first go over to the pillar that we raised to get up here in the first place and put it to it continues up to the bell. Collect the statue onto the platform and then push it so it descends into the spider pen. Kill off the herd to deactivate the gate and then take the big guy over to the bell behind the gate. Head through the door to continue on.

Here remove all the enemies and then proceed with the statue all the way to the bottom of the stairs and to the bell. Continue through the door to return to the first room of the level and maneuver the big guy over to his appointed spot. Wave goodbye and continue through the door ahead.

In the next area continue through gauntlet and across the gap. Grab a little statue and put on the button on the south side of the gap so that the gate opens. Go over to where the gate would be and take control of the statue, then just walk southwards so the statue falls in the pit and the gate closes, thus opening the other gate that you need to pass through. Kill the two spiders and the n plunder the pots for your boss fight.

BOSS: Twilit Arachnid, Armogohma

I guess we know where all those spider herds were coming from, eh?

This boss is easy as cake. It has two attacks, one of which to fire a laser from its giant eye, and the other is to birth baby spider swarms. To take it out, fire an arrow at its eye to drop it from the ceiling, and then run up to what ever statue it is lying under to activate the statue and then hit the B button to have a fist come crashing down on the disgusting creature. Three rounds and it's done for, sort of. Enjoy the chase, but other than that, the fight is basically won.
