zelda iv: link's awakening
walkthroughs - getting to the face shrine

Okay, the Sign Post Maze is very easy, but make sure you have 300 Rupees. Trust me.

:Signpost Maze:

Head south from where the warp outside of Mabe Village is, past the Telephone Booth. Use the feather and boots to jump the chasm and follow through with the maze. When you complete it, a staircase will open leading to Mamu on Vocals. Learn the Frog Song of Soul and leave. Now head back to the Animal Village, by warp preferably. Head north from Animal Village, past that weird looking maze of holey blocks (with the Tektites inside) and kep going right. When you hit the end, go down. Now for the annyiong part.

:Mini Face Shrine:

First of all, note two things, one: certain statues come alive when you touch them. Two: you can stun those statues with your hookshot, which is a needed skill to get through the shrine intact. Make your way to the entrance on the far left of the shrine and go inside. Grab the Arrows from underneath the pots and go up. Now face The Minotaur. Just launch Arrows at him and after about ten arrows he'll die and give you the Face Key. G up and learn your destiny...

To the finder... the Isle of Koholint, is but an illusion... Human, Monster, Sea, Sky... A scene on the lid of a sleeper's eye... Awake the Dreamer, and Koholint will vanish much like a bubble on a needle... Castaway, you should know the Truth!

Notice the Owl picture next to the Whale picture... hmmm. Anyways, leave the Shrine, and get bugged a little by the "Owl". Head into the water and enter the cave (under the left statue) on that little island. Emerge from the cave and go aropund the right path. Place the Key in its hole and enter the Shrine...
