After the last battle against Ganondorf, Link escapes from it triumphant. Zelda offers to return Link to his original time using the Ocarina of Time, but memories of a childhood in which he is neither wanted nor loved by his friends still haunt Link, and he declines the offer, happy to stay and act as the hero of time. However, he cannot begin to understand the consequences of this decision: he is now a 10-year-old living inside a 17-year-old's body. His mind is not mature enough to comprehend the depths of the love he and Zelda begin to share, until their relationship is shattered by Zelda's imminent marriage and Link's inability to completely grow up. Link leaves the land of Hyrule with nothing but bitterness in his heart, but when he recieves a distressed message from Zelda, pleading for his help, will he aid the woman whom he once loved?
