The Minish Cap - Heart Piece Locations Guide

Sprinkled throughout Hyrule are many Heart Pieces, items which after Link collects four of them, he gains an extra Heart Container and thus more life. This guide, though a work in progress, will eventually detail where to find each and every Heart Piece in The Minish Cap, be it from a Kinstone fusion, or found in a chest, or in some nondescript area.

Hyrule Town
[1] After the Fortress of Winds, the house with the Ghost on top will be open for business in Hyrule Town. Inside is Simon's Dungeon Simulation Game, which involves you being dropped in a large arena filled with monsters. Initially it's just Helmasaurs, Charger Turtles, and Ropes. Once you complete that, a new crew appears, including Stalfos, Bomb-ombs, and Grey ChuChus. When you defeat the second round, a chest appears with a Heart Piece inside. Also, the little scene when you wake up from the simulation is hi-larious!
[2] Shrink down in the hosue with the dog and two fireplaces and leave the house. Climb a vine up to the elevated part of the eastern side of town and go in the back of the Happy Heart Inn to find a Heart Piece.
[3] Jump up and hit your head on the bell to make a Heart Piece fall out.
[4] In the playground in the school is a tiny path with a Heart Piece at the end past a rock that requires four Link to push. You'll need to shrink inside the school and head outside to get to it.
[5] Succeed at all ten rounds of catching Anju's Cuccos and you'll get a Heart Piece as your reward.
[6] In the Fountain Tunnels where you find the Power Bracelets, across the river from the broken bridge is a Heart Piece surrounded by pots.
[7] After getting the Carlov Medal (you need the first 130 of the figurines) talk to the man sitting outside the Cafe. He'll let you in the locked house where a Heart Piece awaits (along with some other cool stuff!).

South Hyrule Field
[8] Inside a tree covered in thorn vines. Vines will disappear during events in which you get your free Kinstone Bag.
[9] In the top left corner of the area, there is a hole in the cliff-face to the right of the waterfall. Shrink down using the stump south of that hole, swim into it, and grab the Heart Piece in the cave.

North Hyrule Field
[10] In the top left of the Field there is a ladder beyond a cracked block. Go down the ladder, and down the subsequent staircase, to find a heart Piece guarded by three Keese.

Hyrule Castle Gardens
[11] To the right of the main Castle door there is a staircase leading down, which is filled with water until you fuse Kinstones with someone. Inside is a Heart Piece.
[12] In Grimblade’s Dojo there is a Heart Piece. Easy as cake.

Minish Woods
[13] Just outside the entrance to the Deepwood Shrine, must be normal size to get it.
[14] In the same screen as Syrup’s Hut, all the way left and down is a small pond. Next to the pond is a Heart Piece.
[15] On the eastern edge of the village there is a short bridge that runs right to the next screen. At the end of the bridge is a Heart Piece.
[16] On the western edge of the woods there is a pond with three small caves on the other side. Shrink down, cross it, and enter the left cave to find the Heart Piece.

Base of Mt. Crenel
[17] Past the first set of vortices head all the way to the left past the tektites onto the skinny path to find a dead end with a tree on either side. Blow open the wall to find a chamber with two chests (one with 50 Rupees and one with a Blue \ Kinstone inside) and the top path has a Heart Piece at the end.

Mt. Crenel
[19] To the left of the Crenel Wall are two spiky rocks. Blow the wall in between them to find a Fountain, with a Heart Piece, inside!
[20] After you get the split ability, go back to Mt. Crenel and climb up the walls using the Grip Ring until you reach a door. Inside, stand on the lower left tile and charge your sword. Step down, move right and release the sword on the lower right tile. With the two links move up and step on the switches to open the door. Inside is Grayblade (the TRUE Master Swordsman of Hyrule!) and learn from him The Roll Attack. Then, grab 100 Rupees from the two chests and a Heart Piece from the lower left chest!
[21] Next to the Hermit's Cave at the top of the Crenel Wall is an udnerground cave you need the Mole Mitts to get into. Inside there is a Heart Piece.
[22] Fuse Kinstones with Melari and a beanstalk will grow on the summit of the Mountain. Climb up to find a Heart Piece.

Castor Wilds
[23] South of where you find the Bow, across the pond, is a grave. Push it ahead and go down the stairs underneath to find Swiftblade the First’s Dojo. Just waiting there for you is a Heart Piece.
[24] Fuse Kinstones with Zill (the drippy nose boy) in Hyrule Town to make a lilypad appear in the top-left corner of Castor Wilds. Shrink down and ride it to the hole. In there, through a series of tunnels, is a Heart Piece.
[25] In the cave in the top right corner of the area.

Wind Ruins
[26] At the second stump, shrink down and backtrack by climbing vines to the screen where you kill the second set of three Tektites. Climb down the middle vine to find a ledge and cave. Inside the cave, past the flies is a Heart Piece.

Western Wood
[27] Fuse Kinstones with the Minish on the same plateau as the Wind Crest at Lake Hylia to make a tree open in the Western Wood. Head there to find the Heart Piece.

Lon Lon Ranch
[28] Run into the sparkling tree in the Cow Field to reveal a shrink stump. Shrink down and head right to find a path-scene. At the end of that is a Heart Piece.
[29] On the northern shore of Lake Hylia there is a diggable cave, which you can pass through, heading west, to Lon Lon Ranch. Where you exit there is a heart Piece.

Eastern Hills
[30] In the bottom right corner of the map and find a Minish in a hut, accesible only after crossing a pit using a stretch mushroom. Fuse Kinstones with him and a Beanstalk will grow, which you can climb to find a Heart Piece.

Lake Hylia
[31] To the left of the Shopkeeper’s house is a pond. Go in and dive to find a Heart Piece!
[32] In the Lake itself, at the bottom center there is a Heart Piece on the shore.
[33] In the Lake, there is a dock at the bottom left corner. Go ashore and south to find a tree that you can enter. Inside is Waveblade’s Dojo. The Heart Piece waits for you there.
[34] Use the Roc's Cape to jump from the dock south of Stockwell's Lake House to the islands in the lake. A Heart Piece waits in the lake for the taking.
[35] Shrink down in the Lake Area and head to the eastern edge of the lake to find a vine. Climb up and drop in the hole in the ground. Down below, fuse with the Minish and a Beanstalk will appear. Climb it to find chests with 200 Rupees, 200 Mysterious Shells, and a Heart Piece.

Royal Crypt
[36] Once in the graveyard itself, push the top left grave ahead to reveal a staircase. Below use the split tiles to push the big block aside and claim the Heart Piece!

Veil Falls
[37] Use the Cane of Pacci on the hole in the top right corner of Lon Lon Ranch and jump up the cliff. Go up to find a Heart Piece.
[38] In the water to your left, just as you enter the area, there is a Heart Piece.
[39] Fuse Kinstones with Gale at the Wind Tribe's Palace to make a door appear in the waterfall at the very bottom of Veil Falls. In there is a Heart Piece.
[40] Fuse Kinstones with the Minish in the house in the middle of the lake of Minish Village. Doing so will make a cave at the base of Veil Falls accessible. Inside is a Heart Piece.

Deepwood Shrine
[41] Through the green portal activated by a switch in the room where the Heart Piece is. You can enter the portal in the very first room of the dungeon.
[42] In the room south of Lanmolas’ chamber.

Cave of Flames
[43] In the room with the flipped mine cart, across the bridge, blow the cracked wall on the south wall and get the Heart Piece from the south room.

Fortress of Winds
[44] On the third floor, shrink down and jump in the hole of the floor to land on the first floor. There go in the hole in the wall and grow to get the Heart Piece.

Palace of Winds
[45] On the fourth floor of the dungeon.
