Chapter 10, Royal Crypt and the Source of the Flow
When you first enter you are attacked by two Gibdos. So light your lamp and walk into them, burning the two into Stalfos. Slay them as you usually would for some free bombs, and a small key. Now head up.
In the next room, use the left most mushroom to launch yourself ahead, and then head through the middle door (the other two are mimics). Now, head to the right side of the next room and go split using the tiles. Time it so that just as the trap passes you, you do the last split. Then, guide the three Links up and around the blocks. Step on the switches to make a small key appear.
Head to the left side of the room and use the split tiles to navigate your way on the moving platform. At the end of the chasm is another small key. Gather it, then push the blocks between the section you are in and the main path, and go unlock the two Lock Blocks. Go ahead into the big room.
In this room, light the four torches and two Gibdos will appear. Defeat them, while avoiding the energy balls shot by the torches, and the way ahead will open. Go into the Tomb.
Simply walk up to the Tombstone and Gustaf’s ghost will appear once ahead, telling you to find the “Source of the Flow” and imparting a magic Kinstone to do so. Now, to find exactly what the Source is…
Back outside, call Zeffa and fly back to Hyrule Town. Head to the northeast corner of North Hyrule Field and use your bombs to blow away the cracked blocks. Continue ahead into Veil Falls.
At the base of the falls, you’ll find a large stone door. Well, approach and fuse Kinstones with it (Gustaf’s Kinstone will fit perfectly) and the door will open. Go on inside.
In the dark room, light your lamp and do away with the two Keese, and take the stairs up. In this room, you’ll meet an “Anti-Fairy”. Simply use your boomerang to dispatch it. Smash the pots and head down through the door.
Back outside, avoid the Peahat Bombers and climb the Grip Wall. Smash the Wind Crest you find at the top and head inside the door. In here, head left while avoiding the Helmasaurs and Keese, and go up the ladder. At the top of the ladder, on the ledge, go into the door. Here, do away with the enemies and take the right door, heading down. Here, climb the grip wall and pass that Goron-scalp shaped mountain, climbing the stairs up to the huge vortex. Just in to it to find yourself shot up to Cloud Tops.
All around you are members of the lost Wind Tribe, who apparently need you to find a Kinstone so they can summon a wind to take them home. So, head right and jump in the red vortex. Grab the Gold Kinstone from the chest where you now are (though, it doesn’t conform with the Kinstone that cloud below has to fuse). Instead, head into the hole next to the cloud.
When you land go up to the north vortex. When you land above, use the Mole Mitts to dig through the clouds ahead over to the vortex and the hole. Ignore the hole and instead use the vortex to float from vortex to vortex to the cloud platform to your left. There, dig over to the hole and jump in.
Below, slay the two Cloud Sharks and claim the Gold Kinstone that appears. Take the Red Vortex back up. Then, take the vortex and fly to the left of where you are now, and claim the Gold Kinstone from the chest there. Chew through the cloud just ahead and then through the giant group of them on the north wall. You’ll find two chests, each with 50 Mysterious Shells inside. Now, jump in the vortex, and head to the cloud south of the one you’re on. Jump in the hold to find yourself just before a Lakitu (!). Use the Gust Jar to suck the cloud from under it, knocking the poor little guy to the ground, prostrate. Now, finish him off.
Walk up and fuse with the Mysterious Cloud and head back up using the red vortex. Now, make your way southward.
Once you’re south enough you’ll see safe cloud over on the left. Disembark there and smash through the clouds to grab the 50 Mysterious Shells. Then use the vortex to head right and go in the whole. On the cloud below, slay the two Cloud Sharks and a cloud will unravel, revealing another Gold Kinstone and a red vortex. Take the vortex up and grab the 50 Mysterious Shells inside. Now, use the vortex to float to the bottom right cloud. Jump in the hole.
Head right across the bottom cloud, and turn north to the Lakitu. Dispatch the poor little guy (sorry I’m biased towards the Lakitu) and fuse with the Mysterious Cloud. Then, jump in the red vortex to shoot up and grab the Gold Kinstone from the chest. Head back down the hole, and avoiding the Cloud Sharks, jump in the red vortex. Above, head up and down the right hole where you can fuse Kinstones with the Mysterious Cloud at the north end of the cloud. Now, jump in the vortex and when you’re above. Use the vortex to fly southeast to the ledge below. Claw your way to the gap on the right edge of the cloud and fall in the hole.
Move right past the Shark and up the red vortex. Here go north and fall in the hole where the second-to-last Mysterious Cloud awaits. Now, use the red vortex to go up to the top clouds. Jump in the vortex on the north ledge and fly up, left, and onto the ledge. From here, claw your way up and to the vortex. Now, sue this one to fly to the right around the corner and back to where you found the first Gold Kinstone. Head down the left hole and make your way back to where the people were. The last Mysterious Cloud awaits for your fusion. Once that’s done a giant vortex appears, leading the way to the Wind Tribe’s home.
A Wind Crest waits right where you emerge above. Smash it and head inside. This building, the Wind Tribe Palace, is chock full of Kinstones. You can find at least two Blues and a Red. Nevertheless, on the top floor a girl blocks the staircase up. So, go to the north of the floor where the Elder awaits. Talk to him and then to the girl that blocks your way. She’ll move and you can head to the roof. Jump in the giant vortex there to be catapulted to the Palace of Winds.
