Blank's Adventure Progress

Prologue - Tastes Like... Sand?
Crawling from a strange casket that had washed it's way to shore at Tantari's coastline, the man of age twenty-three stands and stretches, spitting sand from his mouth and adjusting his eyes to the new light, he had not seen the sun for days. his stomach roars viciously as hunger comes to mind. His face is unshaven and his clothing is tattered and dirty, not to mention his entire body is drenched with the stinging seawater.
Deciding that finding civilization is his only option, the man begins to cross the desert, but is felled when a seering pain rushes through his cortex and bruns his mind. A voice inside rasps out meaningless words, and before the man can react, another is at his side. A cleric, offering help while wiping sweat beads from his face and collecting his breath. Denning. The man would not forget that name.
As the two converse, yet another man appears. Almost ordering the two to identify themselves, he seems to be in a rush, travelling the opposite direction. Still continuing through the desert, the man identifies himself.
"I am Blank."
Chapter 1 - Malvagio's Occupation
Arriving in the capital of the strange land, Blank finds a large crowd gathered around what appears to be the Castle town's courtyard. A figure of great leadership, King Harkinian the Second, stands above the crowd, making a deep announcement.
Terrorists were on the move. Blank had heard of their origin before. Byrna, a beautiful country, but always on the verge of war. It was expected that terrorists would be spotted there. In the announcent, Blank learned that he had landed in Hyrule, a land he had visited maybe once or twice during his services in Calatia. The terrorists were moving from Byrna to Hyrule, and would be hiding out in Parapa Palace, in the far reaches of Northern Hyrule.
A soldier stood in the crowd, recruiting adventurers for the task of removing the terrorist threat. Blank willingly signed up, and headed to the far desert. Upon arrival, he introduced himself to the gathered warriors. Raven, Julian, Victor, Alpha, Grenada. Rough bunch, but Blank felt in the right place. But, while searching for secrets, Blank became lost and was seperated from the group. It took a long time, but he eventually met up with his allies in a large room with a dead end and a large tree. More had joined during that time. Arco, Darilan, Sheng Long, the Lovers, Dogura. Feeling embarassed, Blank introduced himself and sat quietly while Julian the Zora mage struggled to decipher the ancient code on the wall. The Zora disappeared, however, and Darilan was left to translate the wall. It read "Leave this door and it shall open." Grenada solved the puzzle, taking the leave literally and using the leaves of the massive tree to open the door.
Beyond the door was a simple corridor, but its simplicity was soon rvealed to be a trap. Grenada stepped through the door at the end and became locked in that area. Three Beamos statues along the cieling threatened the group, but the real trouble was the appearance of a group of enigmatic silhouettes. Blank called out to Arco to shine his lantern on the foes, and the Sheikah attempted to do so.
No more is known of this story at this time.
Chapter 2 - Forced Labour And A Fierce Enemy
Blank made his way back to the courtyard, still taking in the land's settings and acquainting himself with the general laws of Hyrule. A strange shop that he did not see before that day stood foreboding, and Blank decided to check out the wares for anything useful. Upon entry, he found an empty main floor, and so he descended the stairs to the basement. Here he found a shocking operation. An uncountable number of gorons, all tired and in pain, were seen working under force and brutality.
Blank hid himself in the shadows, awaiting backup. It came in the form of Dogura, the samuraii that had been involved in the terrorist investigation. Blank had also met this man upon arrival in Hyrule. He stepped out of the darkness and approached Dogura, and together, the two wariors hatched a plan to free the slaves. Taking out the few guards and slave-drivers, Blank and Dogura unchained the Gorons and sent them to their freedom. But there were more. This was only a small branch of the slavery unit, and the main headquarters would be found in Tantari Desert.
Traversing the scorching sands once more, Blank and Dogura found the hideout and infiltrated it, leaving no henchmen alive. After a short discussion, they were ready to leave, this time headed towards the Highlands, where Gorons would be best suited for living in peace. Blank met Dogura by the steppes leading into the mountain plateau, but decided to rest awhile.
When he caught up with the group, he discovered the remains of a gruesome battle. Slain Gorons and enemy creatures littered the path, and tracks were seen leading towards the Windmill. It was there that Blank found Dogura and the remaining slaves. Dogura had been badly wounded, and would be unable to continue. But as luck would have it, a strange Zora appeared and healed the vagabond. The journey continued.
With Ruto Town, a Goron safe haven, in close sights, the two warriors were filled with joy. But it was lost in the moonlight's glow, as a strange beast crossed their path. Dredge Scaletooth, the Slave Master. The Dinalfos, wielding the legendary Titan Spear, issued severe threats to Dogura as Blank and the Gorons continued to Ruto Town. Dogura escaped from Ganon's minion in time for the rescue celebration in the town. A statue was erected in honor of Blank and Dogura, and the Gorons were safe at last.
Having received no reward, Blank stalked off into the Highlands, searching for new adventures to earn him some pay.
Interlude - A Strange Elder Seeks Help
After spending some time in Ruto Town for some well-deserved rest, Blank bid Dogura farewell and headedb ack west, towards the castle. As he reached the Steppes connecting the highlands to the desert, an old man called out to him. He had fallen down the stairs, and Blank was obliged to help him back up. The nomad laughed when the elderly man promised to pay him back someday, and continued his adventure.
Chapter 3 - The Nightmares Cease
Blank found nothing of interest back at the castle. He had not been allowed entry to the Keep, nor to the Caravan Quarter. As he headed southwards, his head throbbed violently and he fell to his knees. Staggering in pain, Blank lurched forward until he could move no more, then doubled over and yelled out. The attack ended, and when the nomad came to, he was outside of a magnificient house of ice. He had wandered towrds the scene of a great winter ball, hosted by none other than the Lovers, whom Blank had met in Parapa Palace. He gladly entered and danced with a beautiful young girl and ate to his heart's content, but he was saddened to describe his unhealthy state of mind to the Lovers. When spring arived, Blank bid his hosts farewell and left the premises.
Shortly afterwards, Blank mae his way back to North Castle to refill his provisions and rest in a normal Inn bed for a change. By the gatehouse was a man on a podium, preaching about a new Democratic party in Hyrule that sought to raise Democracy as its new government. Among the crowd was Dogura. The nomad and samuraii were both ready to accept the man's speach, until another man arrived. Victor Vir, a young bard that had been involved in the Parapa Palace expedition, appeared and cast down the man's ideals with excellent logic and intelligence. His counter speach was enough to change Blank's opinion, and the nomad congratulated the bard for this. He then proceeded to follow Dogura into the forest.
It was in North Forest that he sparred with his slave-liberation friend. A fierce practise fight showed the power of both individuals, and both were injred in the duel. Blank left afterwards to pursue his goals, leaving his good friend behind.
A short travel to New Peaktop saw Blank deliver a Roc feather to a young Rito child. The child was happy to receive the gift, but Blank was not allowed access to the Upper Levels of the bird city. Enraged, Blank returned to the South Greens to relax. It was there that he stumbled into the rain-soaked earth and screamed in pain at the cause of another migraine. The colossal ache hammered through his head, destroying his mental barriers and almost killng him. Weakened from the attack, the nomad managed to find a safe cave to rest in for the night. In the morning, he was a relieved man. The nightmares had truly ceased.

Treachery and Abandonment - "The Beginning"
Winter. Hyrule. A boy is born to old Joseph Sulvera and Beatrice Lorren. A son of warriors. Morning arrives. The boy is left with caretaker and family friend Myst Wolfeye. The parents trek to Parapa Palace in Northeast Hyrule and battle the temple minion. They and their travelling guild do not return. News reaches Mido town and before long Myst learns of an evil force prepared to take Hyrule. Taking the child of his dead friends, he fled to neighboring country of Byrna, and was slain in an attack by bandits. the bandits, seeing a child that they could raise on their own to pillage for them, took him to their own country. Calatia. Winter became spring, spring became summer, and in a matter of twelve years, the child was an excellent swordsman.
The Chief of the bandits, the Moblin Ulkra Mid-Dao, named him Blank, when his own Moblin son by the same name disappeared in battle. Fireside was developed as a last name. A somewhat fearsome name, it was best used to describe a flaring temper problem. Then Blank grew to realize the differences between Hylian and Moblin. Mid-Dao never told him of his Hylian origin, for he feared that the boy would turn on him. At the age of fifteen, that is exactly what Blank did. Having read of the Moblin's brutality in the past in an old text, Blank grew enraged and slaughtered the tribe before fleeing to the capital of Calatia.
Enlisted as a soldier for five years, life was good. He had earned the class of "Grunt" and had made many friends. But one day he was recognized. A victim of his early life of theft pointed him out and he was ejected from the Calatian forces. The last thing he remembered of Calatia was the feeling of being beaten and forced into a tight space. The churning sounds of waves and whirlpools echoed in his nightmares, and every so often a piercing migrane tore through his mind, unexplained.
And so it was that Blank Fireside arrived in Hyrule, his homeland, oblivious of his ethnicity and culture.

Physical Description of Blank Fireside:
Blank is of an average height. He stands 5'10" from the ground, and weighs 160 pounds.
Blank is ambidextrous, meaning he uses both hands efficiently in sword-fighting. He holds his plain Deku shield in his left, when it is needed, although he does not utilize its defenses actively in battle often; he is more on the offensive. He wears a deep brown jerkin, with a belt linked diagonally across his chest and back. A scabbard rests on his back, attached to the belt, with a strange emblem marked on it. If one were to inspect it, they would see clearly the head of a ferocious Moblin. One would not, however, be able to ascertain the origin or reason behind the scabbard.
His sword is only a plain one; Deku, 1H. Over top of his jerkin is an open cloak, which reaches only to his waist. It is actually more of a jacket, save for the obvious look to it. There is no hood attached to the cloak; at one time there was, but somewhere along his adventures, Blank was able to find someone capable of removing the hood and making the cloak look as though it had never had one. His reasoning behind this was that it made the task of drawing his sword difficult; often, the blade would catch on the hood and get caught in a dire moment. His pants consist of a unique denim material (yes, you guessed it. Blank wears blue jeans. Although, they are not as similar as the modern type.) At his side are two small flasks, perfect for exporting his favourite drink without causing him to look foolish or slow him down. He wears a pair of slightly worn boots, similar to those used by Link, the hero of Hyrule.
Blank's hair is a deep red (not bright, like that Ganondorf fellow), and it sits on his head as it would any wanderer; messy and flattened, covering his forehead and hanging down just at his eyes; he seems to be a shady-looking character, although he quite trustworthy. His eyes are brown, his pupils glowing like black holes in the colossal universe, the whites of his eyes appearing healthy and carefree. Normally, there is a sullen expression on his face, indicating either a "I haven't slept in days..." feel, or the ever famous "What the hell do you want?" Although, Blank is genuinely friendly when possible. All areas on his body are unscathed; it is painstakingly obvious that the nomad is very careful when battling.

---> Aid Alpha and Shada in their search for Master Zaris, and their plight against the Hakiems. The evil Zora Zaboorak is hellbent on attaining all of hte Goldforce Powers. Blank will help Alpha to stop the madman in any way he can.
---> Investigate Tayro Wind and the mysteries surrounding him. He doesn't know much about the Nightmares, or that Setze fellow from the Temple Quarter, but something ominous is on the horizon. Better stock up on those Sigma Shards.
---> Retrieve the third sacred stone from the bowels of North Forest for Dogura. Blank has no idea what for, but Dogura is an old friend of his and he is obliged to lend a hand. There is a secret syndicate after the stones, which spells disaster for Dogura, Pyre and Blank.
---> Help Sabertache find the gang that committed the murder in the castle town. They mean a lot more to Saber than he has let on so far, and so Blank is also going to find out exactly how the boy is related to the gang.

<center>Important Items In Blank's Possession</center>
- Dark Shard - Received from Hiro after the defeat of Hiron, the Necroclone of Hiro. It holds a terrifying power that once enabled Blank to summon a horrible Dark magic that the Umbrili had mastered. Although, he has not used it much since his visit to Incinera, and is now less than confident when he sees the Dark Shard, knowing that attempting to harness that power is but futile. Blank was able to summon the Midnight Terror using this shard during a battle against Zartyn in which Carnax the great dragon appeared.
Sigma Shard x2 - Dropped when Nightmares are defeated. The creatures seem to only show up when Tayro is around, and so Blank makes a mental note to keep his eyes peeled when a Nightmare is defeated. The purpose is unknown thus far, but soon enough Blank will find a use. Locations of these Shards are as follows:
1 - In North Forest after defeating a group of Shades.
2 - In Alpha's memory of the Golden Battle after battling Shades and Canis.

Carock's Apostles
Description: Carock's Apostles is a group led by the once powerful sage Carock. Although Carock is the supposed leader, he has never been seen by all but six of his Apostles. These six serve as the leaders of the alliance on his behalf, and these six have only seen the mysterious leader once or twice in their lifetime. The Apostles below these figureheads have a hidden agenda and rarely appear above the surface of their secret realm.

----> Myst Wolfeye was once a family friend to Blank Fireside's parents, and a prominent member of their guild. He fought with an evil warlock that was under Ganon's command after their disappearance and contracted the remains of the wizard's evil curse. Forced to flee to Byrna to prevent a major epidemic, Myst was ambushed by the bandits who took his friend's' son. He was believed dead.
----> A while before Victor entered the underground city, Myst drifted ashore the coast of Parapa Desert and was accommodated by Dogura. He staggered from the samurai's summer home in his state of curse and disease, searching for answers and cures.
----> Myst endowed Victor with the mysterious "Dark Power," enabling the bard to perform various tasks while in the realms of the Cursed Ones.

----> Solstrem Maverick was born to two wealthy Calatians, and aspired to become a great scholar. He joined the Royal Calatian Armed Forces in the legendary Mage Unit, and in these forces he met Blank Fireside. The two were great friends, but Maverick was forced to endure his friend's apparent execution. He established a home in Hyrule shortly afterwards to study alone, and to continue the organization's plans.

----> Already a companion of Victor's, Alpha was invited into the organization after a battle with Mizer. He decided to explore the Training District while Victor slept, and received an ultimatum from Meridel of the Intelligent Ones. Alpha is in a conflict putting the lives of his new allies at risk.
----> When Alpha returned from the Colosseum, he and Victor went to the dungeon, falsely summoned. Orias, the mage whom Victor had defeated days before, confronted the two and attacked them. After the battle, the mage departed to North Forest to meditate on Meridel's proposition.
----> Alpha reappeared after much thought to find Meridel, and instead found Victor and his party. The Sheikah accompanied the group on their journey through the Hospitality District, and helped defeat the vicious Gohma. He returned to the castle with Victor, only to be informed of the death of an organization ally.

After a run-in with a tribe of Moblins, Jett took hold of Tayro's arm and brought him to the underground castle, for a brief explanation from Maverick. The boy openly accepted his invitation to the Apostles and departed on an exploration of the castle with Victor and Alpha.

Monsters Of The Dark
In the underground city beneath Parapa Desert and Mount Highpeak/Deku Woods, there is an infestation of terrible cursed monsters, known as the Cursed Ones. The following is a bestiary of the hideous creatures.
The Cursed Ones
Oblivion Re-Dead -----> Slain: 8
----> A demented monster whose vital organs are all visible despite its disgusting black skin that hangs on its body. Similar to a Re-Dead, the face is an image of pure horror. The Oblivion Re-Dead stalks madly around its prey and lashes out with tooth and claw. When its foe is weakened, it crawls up the body and absorbs the remaining life out of the unfortunate adventurer.
----> Victor, Malak, Jett, Radley and Helena were accosted by five Oblivion Re-Deads in the Training District of the underground city. They were victorious in destroying the filthy beasts.
----> Three Oblivion Re-Deads were summoned to destroy Victor, Eyra, Derix, Jett, Kessler and Thespin during the Hospitality District raid. The party defeated the creatures with ease.

----> This foul monster assumes the form of a harmless treasure chest in an attempt to lure greedy adventures into its mouth. When awakened, it attacks with random spells. Its defense if absolute Zero, making it impossible for an attack to miss.
----> Victor, Jett and Radley battled a Surprise Box in the training quarters of the underground city, after the enemy was awakened by Victor during a reconnaissance search. The prize for the defeat of this enemy was a beautiful pendant.

Oblivion Skulltula -----> Slain: 6
----> Similar to the normal Skulltulas of the surface world, the Oblivion Skulltula is simply a giant spider that attacks enemies as prey. Its bulk is a twisted, rotting black epidermis with a thick bone skull acting as a shield, placed along its spine. It attacks with its needle-like fangs and a potent toxic gas release system to steadily decay its prey. On occasion, it emits a thick string of black web to bind an enemy. If a person is bit, their energy is absorbed into the Skulltula's own health.
----> Derix and Victor battled an Oblivion Skulltula in the Tavern of the first sector of the Hospitality District. After being worn down by bites, web attacks and absorbing techniques, the men were able to defeat the monsters. No reward was achieved in the defeat of these creatures.
----> Derix and Victor met two more Oblivion Skulltulas while fighting alongside Eyra, Jett, Kessler and Thespin. They were enraged by the use of poison gas for the second time, but managed to defeat these monsters with ease.

Blood Vine ----> Slain: 3
----> The Blood Vine is a creature of wiry proportions. It is a thin, weaving monster that appears to be primarily built of rotting coils of flesh. Its claws are detachable, and can be flung with great force, making for a powerful attack. It spurts blood from its torso with every movement, and must drink the blood of its prey to sustain itself. The Blood Vine has an advantage in forested and jungle area, as it can blend in with surrounding plant life. It can burrow under the ground and spring up under its enemies.
----> Three Blood Vines were fought in the Hospitality District during a raid for a Stone of Curse. It was the first time Victor had laid eyes on the creatures, but the others fought as though they had encountered many before. Being more powerful than the Re-Deads and Skulltulas in the situation, the Blood Vines were more difficult to defeat.
